  1. I'm interested in the paper lanterns. Will you ship to Canada? Also, where do you have a closer-up picture?? Thanks!
  2. I found these GORGEOUS letter pressed invites online - and after doing some internet digging, I found out the girl who designed them isn't even a designer! I contacted her to see if she could make some for me, but no reply SO - does anyone know where I could get them made up?? I probably won't do letterpress because it's incredibly pricey, but I need someone who could replicate them fairly closely. Thank you!!
  3. I think I'm out of the loop - Who is Veronica?? What happened to Ana and the other lady??
  4. LOVE the tile idea! I think I'm going to use that and keep them to build into our house somewhere, some day.
  5. Thanks! Great tips. It's all starting to come together. I think it will work out great in the end. (Fingers crossed!!)
  6. I don't think it's in our budget, but we'll definitely be playing Spanish music at cocktails and dinner.
  7. Hi ladies, So I've decided to do a Spanish theme wedding - in Mexico! lol. I want to create an elegant, Spanish feel. Without using the traditional red and black. I think I'm going to use vibrant blues, oranges, yellows and reds. I did a search but came up empty-handed. Has anyone done this or planning to?? My dress has a Spanish feel to it, and so far I've come up with these ideas for creating the atmosphere: -Table numbers in Spanish -Fun "senor" moustaches for photos -Spanish lace fans on the chairs for the ceremony -Maracas for table favours (thanks to the lovely ladies on this forum for that idea) with "shake for a kiss" tags And that's it so far... Does anyone have any other ideas for classy decorations or items that would help with this theme?? Thanks!!
  8. Wow - what an amazing thread!! I got so many ideas and so much inspiration!! Thank you for taking the time to do all that!
  9. Has anyone had the ceremony (or planning to) earlier in the day? I'd like to wear my dress all day! Is it too hot to do this??
  10. Ooooh! That's very exciting (and smart)! Going to go check it out now....
  11. We are going with Blue Lens as well. There are a ton of great photogs, I wish prices were a bit more competitive..

    Hello!

Thanks all! Loving it so far! I'm getting so many great ideas!
  14. So the chapel's out- Has anyone else used any place other than the gazebo and the beach to get married?
  15. Wow - I'm getting so much great info from this thread! Fi and I have settled on the Valentin for our wedding, and I'm getting pretty excited after reading all this!! Â A couple of questions - In the wedding packages it says the beach or the gazebo for ceremony locations. We're not religious, but I like the idea of the chapel. Does anyone know why that's not listed?? Also, is the cross in the chapel able to be moved? Â I think we're sending out STD's a little unconventionally. Since everything is happening around Christmas, we want to give people as much time as possible to save and plan. We're sending STD's out in November (a year ahead) to give people a head's up that details about locale, dates and pricing will be coming in early January. Then our TA is sending out an email with booking details in early January and they will have 30 days to put a deposit down to get the guaranteed rate. Â I've seen lots of lit lanterns as decor on the terrace - has anyone done white lights in the trees? I think I'd like to do that but I'm wondering if they would have extension cords? Â
  16. Hey! Another Valentin bride here! We aren't tying the knot until November 2011, so I'm looking forward to following your wedding planning and find out how you found the resort.

    Hello!

I'm a Bride to Be in November 2011. We're just starting to plan our wedding in the Mayan Riviera. I'm looking forward to all the great advice and ideas! Â I am probably the laziest bride ever. I want it to be fabulous, but as an entrepreneur, I am short on time. My fiance is being wonderful and handling all the travel agent and wedding coordinator stuff. I'm a lucky girl.
