  1. I can't believe I am only finding this thread NOW!! lol. I'm so happy to find a local group of brides!! On that note - I had some invites designed for me, but not printed. I just have the files. The rest is DIY. Does anyone know a good (ie: not incredibly expensive) place in the city that will print invites?? I already tried Staples but they don't have a wide selection of papers. I'm DIY-ing as much of the wedding as I can, but getting a little tuckered out at this point. I'm seriously contemplating just ordering new invites from Etsy, printed, but I really can't afford it.
  2. It's a bit of a risk considering I've never tried it before... I don't want to over-do "eclectic" and end up with "tacky" or "mis-mashed" lol. I think when I have everything ready, I will kind of lay it all out and see if it all "goes". Hopefully, if anything sticks out as a sore thumb, I'll have time to make changes. If not - oh well!
  3. Really?! I don't think I've ever seen white there before! Thanks for the tip!
  4. Beautiful dress! I have to stop looking at this thread... I'm getting dress envy! lol.
  5. One key per room?? That seems odd and impractical. Thanks for the info!
  6. I had gorgeous invites and RSVP cards made up by Tris (here on BDW) - and I love them. I was thinking about having her do all the wedding stationary as well for ease and consistency, but I'm not much of a "matchy-matchy" person. I like the eclectic look a bit more. Would it be outrageous to have place cards, programs and other wedding stationary that didn't all match, as long as they were all the same wedding colours and general feel (ie: pink, orange and flowery)??
  7. Wow, really incredible! Thanks for the ideas!!
  8. Random question - does anyone know if you have to return the room keys at the Valentin? I bought lanyards for everyone's room keys and I want to punch holes in the tops to attach them, but some hotels require you to return the keys and some don't. I know I could do a plastic sleeve for the room keys, but I'm trying to avoid as much plastic as possible.
  9. Lol, too funny. Ya, I loved both the dresses but I ended up going for the one with a bit more bling detail - funny because I thought I didn't want ANY bling, but you never know until you try it on I guess. I thought the slanted ruffles give it a bit of a spanish flare, which is what I was going for.
  10. I tried this one on too and it was in my top 2. I love it - so gorgeous!!
  11. I agree DeAndelis2be! So beautiful!! And fits you amazingly.
  12. It needs to be taken in quite a bit, which I knew would be the case. It's beautiful though! Exactly like the sample I tried on. Can't wait to wear it!
  13. I picked up my dress yesterday!! So exciting and suddenly very surreal!!
  14. KCB2011 - thanks for posting that! I've heard about companies like that but didn't know where to find them. Mochamakes3 - that's a good point. Customs can be brutal! It is nice to have the option though, if there's something you REALLY want.
  15. I love seeing all the different styles on here... so many unique dresses, and all so beautiful!
