  1. EXTRA PICS OF THE FINAL PRODUCT & MATERIALS USED WILL YOU BE MY SENORITA "DUTIES" PRACTICE SHEET VS. FINAL SHEET CUTTING THE SCRAP PAPER IN HALF EMBELLISHMENTS SCRAP PAPER USED FOR GIFT TAGS GIFT TAGS BACK COVER BEFORE I ADDED THE RHINESTONES
  2. To be as helpful as possible, I am uploading a sample template. I changed the font to Century Gothic so that you would not run into any issues when it cam to opening the spreadsheet. I typed in Page numbers in orange that way you would have an idea of where the info would be once printed and cut. Please remove before you print. Feel free to change colors, font and wording. Hope this helps someone… Page Setup: Orientation - Portrait Top Margin - 0" Bottom Margin - 0" Left Margin - 0" Right Margin - 0" Header & Footer - .5" Row Height - 5" Column Width – Columns A & C: 3.9", Column B: .19" (gutter for fold and binding area) I am so happy with them and I can't wait to present them to my girls. ~ Edna Senorita Bridesmaid Template.xls
  3. Senorita Cards I made these cards using the scrap paper that I cut in half lengthwise. Then I folded them widthwise. For the plain cards, I painstakingly cut out motifs from other scrap paper to spruce them up… From then on it was just a matter of adding the sticker letters and rhinestones. All of this was then placed in a kraft box that was lined with gold tissue paper and then had a flower and tea light candle placed on tip. I made “gift tags†out of the leftover scrap paper. I went a lil nuts with the purchases but I was able to use coupons and discount codes for most of them... Items Turquoise Silk Boxes - purchased from another BDW Bride "Dawn". Handmade (India) Paper – Michaels $1.00 each + 40% off Kraft boxes - Michaels about $2.00 each (great find) Rhinestone Borders, Jewels & Letters – Michaels $1.00 each + 40% off Scrap paper (DCWV Royal Garden stack) - JoAnn's Fake flowers - JoAnn's Tealight candle - Ikea (these smell so yummy and scented the box) Gold Tissue paper - Party City (only b/c I was too lazy to go to 99cents store..however I did love the metallic tissue paper) 'Raffia' string - Party City $2.99 Excel Program Papercutter - My own previously purchased from Staples for probably $20 give or take. 4. Hi Ladies, I just finished some of my invitations to my ladies and I am really proud of how they came out. Figured I'd share with you gals and see your thoughts? I knew that I wanted to ask my girls to be in my wedding in a special and memorable way. I struggled between doing something with photos and making a card…so in the end, I decided to do both! My Inspiration for some of the wording came from the link below: http://destinationinspirations.com/2010/09/30/etsy-find-green-card-designs-bm-moh-cards/ Early on, I purchased turquoise silk boxes from another BDW Bride “DawnBuckley†who had actually purchased them from “Boston Bride 2009â€. I had no idea what I was going to use them for, but I loved them anyways. **Photo from Boston Bride 2009** After many ‘trial and errors’ I came up with my invitation idea. I decided to make a booklet invite that contained a personalized letter to each lady. Then there was a “Will You Be My Senorita†section. I then included a poem that Bride “SMBride42012†had posted here: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/30208/will-you-be-my-bridesmaid-ideas/10 Each of the sections had a photo of me with them. I created a template in Excel. (Took many tries and wasted sheets of copy paper). Then I just copied the template onto sheets within the workbook and customized the pages for each girl. I have an amazing HP printer we bought last year...GREAT purchase. I printed the template double sided. Then folded the paper lengthwise… Then widthwise… I used my paper cutter to cut the page in half (widthwise) ... Then I was lazy again and used double sided tape to 'bind' the two pages together. 6. Hmm...depends on what animal...a possible rabid raccoon...doubtful Would you ever let your Mother plan your entire wedding?
  7. If money was no object...I would pay for all our guests. Private jet (economy class with kids kicking your seat is enough to want to pay for plane parking fees) to an all-inclusive (including spa treatments) private exotic island. Would have entertainers (i.e. Pitbull & Machel Montano) making sure we partied like it was 1999! hehe

  9. Btw, Aaronlori... I believe we all add value no matter what stages of planning we are in. Shoot, we don't even need to be planning...often times I see Brides just asking for honest opinions...
  10. Thanks everyone for all the helpful info!...only 110 more posts to go...ay yi yi
  11. Hey nishabella. Any progress on this great idea of yours? Thanks.
  12. Hi Carla, Thanks so much for this post...confirms that I am making the right decision. Btw, your wedding looked beautiful and fun! Congrats.
  13. GOR-GEOUS! That's the only way to describe your wedding...down to every detail.
  14. Hi Jess, Amazing planning thread. Thanks so much for posting. I HEART your Bridesmaids' dresses!
  15. UGH! I couldn't agree more ladies. I thought it was just me. And I would browse SMP and other sites and constantly think 'Who are they gearing these posts to?' At the end of the day, as long as we stay true to ourselves then we'll have an amazing affair.
  16. Hey Starlitk, GREAT idea about giving out male/female versions of the OOT bags. They looked great. Sorry that the iron-transfers didn't hold up against the water but thanks for sharing that info...BTW you looked so beautiful in your gown. Congrats!
  17. I AGREE perry1217! I have learned so much through this site. I recommended to everyone...even Brides who aren't even having destination weddings or women who are not even engaged yet! This is the best site ever! Great post.
  18. Thanks Matt! And yes I do know you and Sol were married there. Yazmin had informed me of this when we did a site visit back in March...makes me feel as if everything is destined!
