Fellow Destination Brides, First, congratulations! Having just returned from my March 12, 2011 wedding in Cabo, I totally understand the stress that goes into planning a destination wedding. In the months leading up to my wedding, I was a frequent lurker on these boards. Much of what I read was very helpful, but some of it scared the daylights out of me! Luckily, I hired Katie Thompson to "plan and execute" my wedding. This was hands down the best decision I made. She promptly responded to all of my questions/issues, and believe me, I had a lot of them. I'm an attorney, so I tend to over analyze everything. Katie never got frustrated with me. Instead, she provided me with all of the information that I needed to make the right decisions. In fact, my wedding day was so easy, that all I had to do was show up in my room at 1 pm for my hair and make up session. Once that was completed, I jumped in a cab with my family and bridesmaids and we met up with Katie at Sunset da Mona Lisa for the ceremony and reception. We arrived about 1 hour before the ceremony was scheduled to start, so I expected to see Katie running around like a chicken with her head cut off (we had added 4 additional guests at 11 am that morning, necessitating rearrangement of the tables, etc.). Instead, Katie met me on Sunset da Mona Lisa's terrace, completely calm and composed. Everything had already been taken care of, so she showed me around and asked if I needed anything. The set up was truly beautiful. The flowers surpassed my expectations and the setup was exactly as I had imagined it. I am so thankful to both Katie and David of Sunset da Mona Lisa for making this the best day ever. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me. Best Wishes, Claire
