  1. Hi Shannon! A destination wedding is cheaper than a local wedding. That´s why you are sharing costs with your guests.. let me explain. In a local wedding you are paying for everything, and here at La Rivera, your guests pays for their rooms, and this helps because the hotel give you discounts for your wedding day. Also, the quantity of guest gets down to 20% of a local wedding.. Good deal, great memories!! Gonzalo

  10. Hi Thipsy! welcome to the forum! you already have great tips. just another ones: Prioritys: *Resort, hotel, cabañas, place to stay and where to have the wedding. *priest, offciant? *music of course!! (to have the party on!) *most important, but not esencial to have a wedding: photographer and videographer... yes, I am a photographer, and put my self at the end of the list. I said priority to have a wedding, but, what do you have at the end?: your photos... I hope been helful good luck! Gonzalo.
  11. shooting underwater photography is very very difficult. but exciting! today is your wedding??? you should try it!!
  12. I started in photography 15 years ago. I never thought in those days that I would now doing these kind of photos. It's amazing! Gonzalo
  13. Just enjoy your ceremony, onlookers are part of landscape. Definitely a dance floor is a very good idea, dancing on the sand is very tiring, and if the dance floor is with lights, the result is amazing! Gonzalo
  14. Hi brides! the other day I was with my friend Diego and Ivan at the Cenote Azul. We were trashing the dress with a beautiful couple, Stephanie and Greg. Trashing is not new for me, but the underwater yes it is. Last week I was doing my first photos under a Cenote. I would like to say that swimming or scuba diving in a Cenote is an amazing experience that everyone should live. It fills the heart and makes you feel the happiest person in the worl!! This is an approach to underwater photography, hope you like!!
  15. I used a beautiful optic from Canon! 135 2.0 L. too technical! haha Gonzalo
  16. Now we spent some time with Natural. She and her fiancee have been one of the most fun couples who have gone through my lens. We have made an incredible friendship. The hours spent under the rain have been the most fun. Of course, when I saw the clouds that day, I thought .. "good bye session!!!" but we created such a good atmosphere that we did not really care about the weather. Gonzalo
  17. Amelia I feel that if you go furthersouth over La Riviera, the beaches are getting more and more beautiful. Of course, the entire Riviera is amazing. But I have found that between Playa del Carmen and Tulum, the beaches are incredible. I love El Dorado Royal, Dreams Tulum.. for example.. good luck! Gonzalo
  18. Hi Sarah! congrats, and welcome! Isla Mujeres is a beautiful place talking about photos. I found that there are more attractive spots for shooting portraits… Good luck!! Gonzalo
