Thanks, Lisa. I just needed some reassurance. The bombing that happened Tuesday in Cancun got me nervous and all reports speculate that drug cartel was involved. I've been reading up on it, and reports do state that it was a bar that was often "frequented by locals" and had a shady reputation (Castillo Del Mar) and the people who were killed were all locals (which does not make it any less tragic, all lives are precious and valuable..I am sad for their families and loved ones; but it may indicate that this is not an area that tourists frequent), so I'm hoping that means that it was one that was not close to the popular resort areas.

Are any of you ladies getting nervous about the reports of increase in violent crime in Mexico? I know historically things have always been a bit dangerous at the border but resorts, especially in the Riviera Maya, have remained safe. However, I've noticed a flurry of media about the violent crime in Mexico with warnings to tourists...I don't know if I should consider going to the Bahamas or Jamaica instead...I would hate for there to be some travel restriction or some type of dangerous situation going on during the time of my wedding. I'm not planning to get married until August 2011, so I know so much can happen between now and then...I don't know what to do...

I am still on the fence between Dreams Tulum and NOW Jade Riviera Resort. Have any of you considered both resorts and, if so, what did you see as the pros and cons of each and why did you prefer one over the other? Â Thanks! I'll be so glad when I finally choose a spot for my wedding in August of next year. I'm just so nervous about making the right choice for myself and also for my guests who will likely be spending their vacation time/money to attend my wedding. Â Sherri
