  1. Wondering if you girls got your dress pressed and had suggestions of good places? Or what did you do to press your dress for the wedding? Thanks!!
  2. Also im not sure if you girls can tell in the picture but it has a purple train at the back, that I thought was very fitting for it being a rehearsal dinner dress Im also 5'5 tall and it still has a few inches to spare for heels.
  3. Sorry girls I had a headache and wasnt even thinking about that! It says its a size 16 but I am only a size 9 and it fits good. The designer is Cinderella http://www.cinderellasgowns.com/2010-Cinderella-s-Collection-s/100.htm
  4. Used this for my dinner rehearsal, I would love to keep it... but I no longer like it with my new back tattoo. :/ If its shipping to BC I will pay, otherwise I ask you pay for your own shipping.
  5. I still have the bouquets and center pieces saved if anyone wants them. BOUQUET-3.pdf CENTER.pdf BOUQUET-2.pdf
  6. I found they looked better when I put clear packing tape over the labels. It made them shiny and look like they were meant to be there good luck!
  7. We just paid the $300 fee to the on site photographers, it worked out cheaper than getting a room for him. Originally Posted by Avens Aww I'm sorry you had a poor experience Clean! Ya im sure some of it could have been avoided if the wedding planner had better comunication with us. Scott was mad thinking that I was the one running late. Our wedding was on a monday at 4:00pm. There was still at least one other wedding that day, like I said before there was 140 weddings for the month of Jan As for our guests when I talked to scott after he said everyone was there 20min early and that the wedding planner had just put too many chairs out and thought some guests were late. She should have asked scott but instead called me and said none of our guests were there, which wasnt true. Everyone was waiting around in the hot sun for a good 20min before she left to get me.
  8. here is the rehersal dinner dress I got.. Some extra stuff for parents, we all used the hats almost every day!! Putting the bags together the night before we left, I cant believe we fit everything in our luggage.
  9. So we just got back from our wedding at Barcelo. A few good things happened but a LOT of BAD things happened also. I dont think I would ever reccomend barcelo for a bride EVER. Everything was about money, which I understand theyre trying to make money...but the service I found was not that great unless you TIPPED for everything. Ill post a review later but our wedding times got messed up because of our wedding planner and her comunication with our party. She put too many chairs out and didnt bother to ask Scott who was standing there if all the guests were there and instead delayed the wedding and called me to say no guests were there. This made me and the girls arrive 30min late because she wouldnt start without all of the guests. The judge then wouldnt marry us because we were late and he had another wedding. We ended up getting married at 5pm by another judge (who was wonderfull and very nice ) I wouldnt have cared as much but it was the fact that we missed the sun for photos and the wedding planner wouldnt take responsability for it. We also missed out on paid drinking time because she wouldnt extend our driving hour for the hour we lost because of her. (she only gave us 30min. which we both didnt feel was fair after running a hour into our reception) The pros were that she did let us use the beach infront of the palace gazebo which was beautiful. We also were able to have our cocktail hour above the gazebo which had an amazing view for our guests. We were told that it was a busy month (140 weddings for Jan and they were short a few wedding planners) I always had talked to claudia via email, but Lillian was who we talked to when we got there. Elisabeth who was very easy going and helpful also helped us for our wedding day and helped to translate for the Judge. Our photographer was prolly the best part of our wedding, so easy to work with and stayed from 1- 11pm which made us feel sooooo much better after getting less sun shots than we wanted. I would recomend Ivan anytime and I hope some of you ladies pick him for your wedding. http://www.luckiephotography.com Ill try and post a better review later, but i guess im a bit dissapointed with the hotel in general. Even when we left we were not allowed the late check out (3pm) he said we could have our room till 1pm but then we got locked out of our rtoom anyways at 12pm. None of this was a problem when he thought we were going to pay, but as soon as I said it was free with our wedding package all the sudden they had no availability and said we couldnt stay.
  10. Ya she just started up a etsy acct but hasn't uploaded pictuRes because she was busy with christmas. Ill ask her for her acct and let you know!Â
  11. For our wedding we used the WC from the hotel (Claudia) she has been very nice thus far and im happy we have her. However she does take a long time to reply to my emails sometimes, and when I ask her questions she doesnt always answer them. I got a outside photographer because they recently changed the hotels and I wasnt a big fan of their work. I booked Ivan Luckie and hes been AWESOME to work with. http://www.facebook.com/index.php?lh=e1dbeb20bf2344e638cd636b30f5363c&eu=a7LLUCRuFEHx3DXaIVsFgA#!/pages/Luckie-Photography/336746687249 They do make you pay either $300 or for a hotel stay for bringing your own photographer in. As far as bringing my own stuff in Claudia never did reply to me on what the decorations included were so im just being a few small things to spruce it up a bit. Im also using my own centerpieces and bringing candels and paper lanters to hang. ' They do ask you to purchase a package and if you go on their website theyre all listed there. Hope that helps a bit :wavey:
  12. No sorry, I just free hand that painting on canvas. I used to be an art major so I had all my paints and brushes from that.
  13. This is where were getting married our reception is on the beach, or poolside ..our wedding planner hasnt told us where it is yet. This is our cake topper, I wanted something funny and this seemed perfect since 90% of Scotts time is spent playing video games. I got the bride and groom from Michales and my gf made me the tv and xbox items with her putty stuff.
  14. This is some of the things im giving to the parents (I also have some shirts and hats to give but dont have pics right now) I will be taking the girls to the spa and Scott is taking the boys out deep sea fishing. I made all the earrings myself too I dont have pics of the other pairs though. Our menus Seating cards These are the bouqets for the girls and bouteneers for the boys which I made. My flowers are going to be real though. This is one of my veils I made: the inside of the flower has my late grandmothers broach in it, and is also my something blue. I also made this as a guest book for my guests to "sign" menu.template.doc SeatingCards.pptx
  15. The templates arnt uploading for some reason? I hope this works! LipBalm.doc KeycardHolderBack.pptx templatefor brochure.pptx KitLabels-1.pdf
  16. Im so excited that its coming up so soon! We leave in a week and there is still so much left to do!  Mostly everything that I have for our wedding was made by me as we tried to keep the costs down. Thank god I have a friend with a industrial printer, it made things WAYYY easier on me.  Anyhow Here is goes!!  We first started to talk about getting married in the summer of 09. Scott wanted to start having kids and I wanted to get married first. We went to Las Vegas and picked out the ring I wanted and were going to elope, but changed our minds and decided we should have friends/family there. Well, two months later we find out im pregnant lol. We started to plan to get married after our son was born in April and decided on Jan. The rings: His is just a simple white gold band and mine is just over a carat Hearts On Fire diamond.  Next I got the dress, this was from my last fitting.  My sons outfit Scott is wearing white linen pants and a long linen/cotton white dress shirt from Tommy Bahammas. The Groomsmen are wearing tan linen pants and a off white linen/cotton dress shirt from Tommy Bahammas. I dont have pics of these though  My bridesmaids are wearing Jasmine dresses that I LOVE LOVE LOVE! As for invitations I ended up just telling friends/family in person and sending emails out as we only gave them a few months to book. I will however be making out invitations for our summer BBQ with the rest of our family/friends who couldnt attend or wernt invited. These are what I picked out, but im swapping the ribbon for blue and adding some flowers: I started to get things for our OOT bags right away in the summer when we finally decided on a venue/hotel. I got a lady from etsy to make me bags, I even got to pick my own fabric out which was awesome. she was very easy to work with and ended up remaking me my bags because I think they got lost in customs. http://www.etsy.com/shop/OleBagLady This is everything that I ended up gathering to put in the bags. and templates for the survival kit, brochure, key card holders and for our crossword.         Â
