So after buying my first dress, I started having doubts that it was the right one for me... so last weekend I went shopping again and found "the one"! I'm so happy I switched as the other one was heavy and not me at all. Here's the new one!

Natalie, It's not too much at all! Your dress is absolutely beautiful! It's actually very similiar to my dress (I think it's about 2 pages back). I was kind of worried about it not being beachy enough at first, but I finally realized that it didn't matter b/c I really feel like the dress chose me!

Hi Everyone, I'm booked for Nov. 26, 2011. We are doing the ceremony at the gazebo at 3pm, then dinner at the steakhouse, then a private reception with DJ Mannia at the Wet Bar. islandbride8-I'm confused, I thought that it was $500 per hour to rent the Wet Bar (if you're not doing dinner there) and that included open bar for up to 40 people and the sound system... and then if you have more than 40 people, you just paid $10 per person over that for the open bar. Now I'm worried we have to pay extra per person for open bar... Yikes!!! What has everyone else been hearing on this?

Thanks girls! This has definitely helped! I think taking pictures is a great idea and will definitely be putting that to use. The dress is the most important part of the wedding to me (well besides my FI of course;) so I think I'm just stressing out unnecessarily about it. At least I have plenty of time to figure it out! I'll definitely be posting pictures once I choose or to get more reassurance before choosing!

I think it's just best we all keep an eye on the situation, but I definitely don't think it's worth worrying about at this point. My wedding isn't until next November at the Majestic Colonial. I really don't think it would spread to resorts who are taking proper precautions anyways. But I just hope that my guests don't get freaked out about it and not want to come!

Hi ladies!!! I need some advice... I've recently been doing a lot of dress shopping and I think I have it narrowed down to 3 choices. I really love all 3, but never had a "moment" with one. I keep hearing everyone say that they just knew when it was the right one, but I'm not getting that specific feeling and didn't start crying or anything. Does that mean I should keep looking? Also, I'm getting married in Punta Cana in November 2011. 1 of my dress choices is a heavier/thicker fabric than the other two. Has anyone regretted their dress choice b/c they ended up being too hot/sweating their butt off? Thanks for your help!!!

So we haven't decided on a location for our wedding yet, but we want to get married in Nov 2011. I would like to do a site visit this winter just to make sure it's what we want and so that we're not having everyone spend a bunch of money to go on a vacation that could end up just being so-so. Unfortunately, doing a site visit isn't cheap, so from everyone's experience... is it worth the extra money to do a site visit, or not? -Erin

Hello! We just got engaged 2 weeks ago and are new to the destination wedding search. I'm kind of overwhelmed by all of the choices and could definitely use some advice!
