Sigh - I hear you 100% on registering at IKEA. I think that is where almost everything in our house has come from.

Lua - if it helps ease some of your stress, to get married in Jamaica, we took our original documents and copies to a lawyer to have them notarized. Only the FI and I had to be there. The lawyer just signs/stamps/includes a letter verifying that the documents are legit and we are who we say we are. Hope that helps!

You are lucky you got "you're right" lol. I'm still hearing we have lots of time, because we have 6 weeks left....such procrastinators, but we love them.

Tris - Great choice on a photographer! I have friends that used this company for their wedding in Winnipeg, and their pictures turned out AMAZING (actually their wedding photo won best photo for 2010...see link below)! I hear you 100% on being stuck inside because of the weather! We got hit with a bunch of snow over the last couple of days. Although I did give in to temptation and have some chips/dip with the FI yesterday, I am hopeful that the 2hours (yes 2 hours) of shovelling makes up for it...

Brandy - Love the parasol idea. Ivory would look great. I am going with parasols for the bridesmaids also. They look fantastic in pictures, are more budget friendly than the extra flowers at the resort, more environmentally friendly, souvenir for the girls, and will also help keep sun off of them slightly I think for the ceremony and photos if needed.

I was excited too, because I haven't seen anyone else with that date....and it a great date given the 4th month + 7 day = 2011 (or at least that's how fiancee said he is going to remember the date in the future with the whole 4+7=11 thing). Planning is going well, but I can't believe how close it is getting. Was on the stepper at the gym last night, and thinking we need to start cracking down on our welcome newsletters, ceremony script, music list, FI's clothes, and so on and so on. How about you? How are plans going?

oh man do i hear you ladies with your travel agent woes....ours is a joke (for all the Canadians, do not book with FlightCentre in the future). We also ended up sending a letter to the manager and having the manager take over our file. The manager has been much more organized, but we are still dealing with the fallout from the original travel agent and her "misinformation" or "lack thereof". Will be thankful when we have tickets in hand and do not have to deal with them any further!
