  1. Angela, Â They do have private rooms available for rental. If you book 75 room nights with a group you get unlimited private events. That's basically 11 couples for a week. Otherwise, it is $40 per person for each table of 10. You'll also have to rent a sound system if you want to use a mic. I think it's very dependent on how many people you have attending.
  2. I think couples showers are getting more popular. So it sounds like a great idea. As for the registry, why not just say additional info can be found on your website. That way, you won't feel as if you're specifically drawing attention to the registry. Â Also, if you're worried about sending your own invitations, why not ask the bridal party to participate. Or prepare them and give them to your mom to send out? Â I think I'll be having two showers. One with friends at my home and another with relatives and family friends at my mom's (she lives 5 hours away).
  3. Teira, Â We have had one couple book before we even had our wedding confirmed, so I don't think we will be able to include them with our group. My parents are trying to decide where they are leaving from. His parents don't even have passports and we are not even sure if they'll be able to get them. We initially told them we were getting married three months earlier to try and get them into gear and now that they know the truth they are dragging out the application process. I just want to get our invites out so that people will book through our group not on their own. I was extremely mad when my MoH sent me an email with lower rates. Yes, I know they are available but those rates are for inferior rooms and don't include all the member and group extras. We only get free private events if we have 75 room nights booked. If everyone books through other avenues, there's no way I'm shelling out an extra $40 a person for a formal reception. Â
  4. You have me worried that I'm dragging my feet. Our STD just went out last week and we're getting married in April. We already have one couple booked, and we haven't even reserved our room or flights. I've only booked the wedding ceremony.
  5. Mahalo79, Â I think if you add some turquoise flowers to the bouquet it will look beautiful. Very tropical. Â I was originally planning on mango and watermelon, but I keep being drawn to cobalt too, so I might add that as well.
  6. They look great! Where did you order from? I'm trying to decide if I should order in Canada or if the prices are better in the U.S.
  7. For the Canadian Brides:  http://papercircle.ca  http://clearbags.ca  The second place also sells pouches that would be perfect for luggage tags or key holders.  Â
  8. Marzm - looks fabulous can't wait to see the dress on you. Â Lisadias - I think I keep changing my mind because I know they will make whatever I want. I sent the a few pictures tonight of a dress that has most of the things I want. I also received a $15 off coupon in my email so now I have even more incentive to pull the trigger. Â
  9. I just got a new laptop that has MS Publisher installed on it, it's fabulous for creating me invites. It's easy to rotate pitcures, change colors and it can even show you how to load paper for multiple pages.
  10. I've been debating the unity sand ceremony, but for that price I think it is something we could endure.
  11. I'm looking forward to ordering and receiving my real touch bouquets.
  12. Marzm - I've tried on a ton of dresses, probably abut 50 - 60 at several different stores and all kinds of different styles. There's been lots of definitely no's and a couple where I like one aspect such as the top, but not the bottom. But overall nothing. That's why I was planning on going the custom made route, to get what I want and not have to compromise.
  13. The more I try to find a dress that I like enough to order the more indecisive I become. Pretty much everything looks good, but nothing stands out in my mind.
  14. Teira, Â They look beautiful. Mine have finally all made it into the mail. Still trying find the dress.
  15. The only reason why I'm considering driving 6 hours to another airport is so that we can distribute some of our stuff amongst the family. I'm having my real touch flowers shipped to my sis in the US so that she can bring them and I don't have to pay Canadian prices.
  16. These are great ideas. I wish we could have our little girl with us on our wedding day. I wanted her at the engagement photos, but it was too hot for her to be out in the sun that long. And we would have needed someone else along to keep her entertained for the mommy & daddy only pictures. She's such a baby hates being kept away from the action. I have already planned to include her in the TTD and we will certainly miss her at the ceremony.
  17. Terpgurl, Â We chose the complimentary package and only paid the civil fee for deposit ($300) I think if you choose a package you have to prepay 50%.
  18. Fabulous! I guess sometimes you have to sort through a whole bunch to find the perfect one.
  19. I've heard people doing luggage tag invites? Or there's also message in a bottle invites? I've designed our passport invites, but I'm still looking for other possibilities that are fairly original.
  20. Love the pink shoes! Â If you're going with that hairstyle I would pick a bunch of the hair pins to accent all the curls. Â
  21. That is a fabulous review! I can't wait for our MP wedding day. We have a 3pm ceremony too and I'm glad to see that we have a similar timeline.
  22. Lisa, I think I am almost as excited as you to see the finished product. I'll be checking each day for an update.
  23. I have one with lots of freebies, but it is for the canadian site. Â PM if you are interested.
