Save the dates went out at the end of September, I'm making DIY passport invites to go out in November, I ordered my dress from Monica Bridal (custom made in China) which I will hopefully get to see in November to decide if I want to use it or keep trying to look here, our ceremony is booked, rooms are blocked, my parents flights are booked, real touch flowers have arrived at my sister's so we can make the bouquets at Christmas, BM & GM have all been asked but only my MoH and sister have confirmed and started booking, paid our deposit to photographer, picked our colours but haven't decided on decor, I've settled on BM dresses but waiting until December to order for more accurate measurements, prob ordering Linen suits for GM from studiosuits.com. And finally, we have one couple booked, but no one else really has booking info. So aside from my lack of a dress, our major things are covered, I think.

I'm pretty sure you can stay at Cancun Palace but get married at Moon Palace too? Either way, a Palace wedding will be amazing no matter which resort you choose.

Did anyone go for a site visit? Did Palace Resorts give a price break on your visit? Also, does your copy of the birth certificate need to be certified? Is it the long form or just the pocket sized version?

The flowers I ordered yesterday from Afloral.com arrived this morning at my sister's house. I haven't spoken to her yet, but she sent a message saying they look and feel very real.

Jenn, You just have to contact your WC and tell her you want to switch. That's why we originally picked the Complimentary package and were going to change later. But only did this as a result of the advice on here. If you already paid for half of the package either ask for a refund now or ask to have it applied to your room payment. You don't want to have to wait until after your wedding to get a refund. Either way get the decision in writing. That was the other reason why we signed the contract for Comp package, we didn't want to have to pay for half upfront esp since we planned on using Palace dollars to pay for the package. You should have a new contract drawn up too.

I'm just really hoping to start dealing with my onsite WC early on. And I hope I get a good one because we are members.

I just don't like it when someone writes about a bad experience and doesn't explain how it was resolved. Maybe Palace Resorts did not have any record of the issue until they received the letter? I'm going to side with Palace Resorts unless the bride gives a reason not to. I also think that the letter was written poorly and did not simply lay out the issues.

I didn't buy any yet because I don't know how many I will need. I will try to go tomorrow and take pictures. If I do buy them, I'll probably want to make the covers from Martha Stewart just so they don't look cheap. It really upsets me that this bride didn't give further explanation about the resolution. We're getting married at Moon Palace in April and can't wait for our trip. There are problems everywhere and I think the only way that this thread can be helpful is if the bride explains how it was resolved.

Jenn - Thanks, I sent you an email. We actually found a photographer couple that isn't charging us anymore than a regular full day for a local wedding. The wife did our engagement shoot and we're pretty happy with them. Is there anyone that I should request to be my on-site wedding coordinator?

Teira - I'm printing our passport invites right now. How are you going to trim each booklet to make sure the sides are uniform?

I would love to see the info for the Sapphire package. I requested additional pictures of the Amber and Emerald and will gladly share once I receive them. Although now that our photographers are joining our group, not sure if we should purchase the package. But I figure it's the only way to ensure we spend the entire $1500. Does anyone know if we still get the Palace member discount if we use the Palace Money to pay? I have also asked about the location of the Terrace Fountain and Terrace Moon.

Lua and Lisa - Those are beautiful flowers. Try checking afloral.com, I was going to use save-on-crafts but afloral was cheaper and they definitely ship to Canada, it's just more expensive. These are the ones I'm going to use: I've heard of people having things shipped to Buffalo and picking them up at Mail Boxes Etc. I think. Maybe look into that.

Slightly Sad My Monica Bridal dresses aren't ready yet. She sent me a message last night to say they would be another day, but she added a tracking number. I really hope I get the pictures tonight. I want to check out the dresses so I can decide if we will use them for BM dresses too.

I'm trying to get our bridal party to book this week with the CDN US dollar parity. Grrr... so frustrating! I can't plan anything until I have a general idea of who is going. But I haven't even sent out invites so I can't be too pushy.

Does anybody have swatches for the $99 linen blend or the tuxedo? I am in Canada but my sister lives in Virginia if it's easier to ship there.
