  1. I reserved Bugambilias Gazebo for the ceremony and Bugambilias Terrace for the cocktails and reception dinner. I figure if we don't reach the 75 nights I can always just move the dinner somewhere else. I want the dinner to be held at the Moonlight Terrace because it is right outside my parents' room, but it is booked. SO hopefully, it opens up and we can move there. Once our numbers get higher and more definite I will probably book more private events. I figure it's better to reserve and cancel instead of end up with somewhere we don't want.
  2. Brandy - sorry for your experience. I don't care where you get married, it's a lot of work lugging around a heavy dress all day. And certainly not something you want to do in the heat and humidity. I know that most dress shops are quite capable of packing a dress up into a tiny package, but then you might worry about wrinkles. Good luck. I'm going to try my luck at finding a dress tonight and tomorrow night.
  3. I think it depends how you book and how long you are staying. We're members and booked directly through the resort, for our guests that are staying a full week it is included. For less than a week it is $26 round trip through the resort. There is a link on the Palace website to arrange the transfers. I think you just fill in your arrival and departure times along with your reservation number. I've also heard that you can book a taxi, limo or even a private bus if there are enough of you arriving at once.
  4. Lua - when you order try to get as much of your bouquet in real touch. There is a noticeable difference in quality and for the primary flowers it's worth the price difference. For your white flowers, they have a mini bouquet of roses for $12.99 http://www.afloral.com/Silk-Wedding-Flowers/Real-Touch-Wedding-Flowers/12-Rose-and-Astrantia-Bouquet-in-Cream-White Lisa - Maybe you can find blue spider mums?
  5. I think as long as you carry it on the plane with you and place it in the seat pocket so it can't tip over you should be pretty safe.
  6. Wow Jenn that's a great list and very helpful. I have to say that a lot of stuff/prices they mention are so vague and pretty much "wait until you get here and have no other choice." Basically, as long as you don't care how much money something costs MP will be glad to find it for you. I guess I will have to send my inspiration pics to my WC for price quotes.
  7. For all the GTA girls that went to Chinatown - Did any of you check out Pacific Mall in Markham? They have a tonne of shops there and lots of cute little things at most stores. It's an Asian mall so you'll probably find lanterns and parasols. They even have some clothing stores with dresses. It's a great place to find costume jewelery too. Another option is the Asian store at Vaughan Mills. I'm always surprised at the neat things they have there.
  8. My dress is at Vancouver customs! It's getting closer and I'm so excited esp after seeing Ginger's dress.
  9. Ginger - You're ceremony dress is absolutely gorgeous too! And you're wedding is close. Good luck!
  10. In case anyone is looking for more options. I just received my order from papercircle.ca. Beautiful website, great pricing, fast shipping and I even received a hand written Thank You card with my order.I'm so glad I chose to give them a try. And now to keep working on printing my Passport invites!
  11. Ginger - It looks gorgeous. When I saw that dress on Monica Bridal I was really tempted to order that one. And now that I see the results, I'm even more tempted. It's going to be tough waiting for the one I already ordered to arrive.
  12. The menus have already been posted else where, but here they are again. I also included the complementary package cake and flowers. CATALOGUE INC COMP 2010 Nuevo.ppt DESAYUNO NUPCIAL.pdf HORS D'OEUVRES 2009-2010 (SEP 09).pdf MENUS BUFFET 50 2009-2010 (SEP 09).pdf PLATED 2009-2010 (SEP 09).pdf
  13. Jenn - I told our Miami WC that I wanted to book some events and she forwarded my request to MP. I wasn't expecting her to email me directly. I promise not to take up much of her time though, because I know she must focus on the onsite brides.
  14. Good luck Brandy! I hope you have lots of fun and start making all your wedding day dreams come true.
  15. Woo Hoo! I just got my first email from our MP on site WC! It's Claudia Alejandra Fonseca. Once I download the attachments I'll post them here! So excited to start reserving our locations!
  16. Ellabaja - Congrats on getting your first guests booked. We only have a few booked but I don't feel too bad because I haven't sent our invites or revealed too much booking info. I'm worried that we'll only have three or four people that aren't bridal party! But who cares! We're getting married and it will be amazing. I made FI watch some wedding videos from our resort last night to try and get him in the planning mode.
  17. I'd really like your fans. Would they fit in a flat rate shipping box? How much is shipping to 22124?
  18. I really think you should stop soliciting the member services. The discount is only for wedding packages, which can be partially paid for with the current promotion. Members pay a lot of money for the benefits they receive and I'm sure many of the members wouldn't appreciate you offering member benefits with paying.
  19. Have a safe trip and an amazing wedding! We can't wait to see your pics and hear all about your wedding week!
  20. Karen, I think it looks very similar but the folds will probably fall a little different once you are wearing it, versus the mannequin. LOL... as long as our dresses arrive clean and without mysterious smells I don't care what their warehouse looks like!
  21. I haven't ordered the lanterns yet, will probably go with either save-on-crafts or asianideas. Either way, I will have them delivered to a U.S. address. The lights will be delivered to Ontario though.
  22. For the Canadian girls, I just ordered 100 LED lights and 25 of the 3V batteries from dealextreme.com for under $20. I've ordered from them before and it usually takes a few weeks to get stuff from China but no complaints. Here's the links to the items I ordered: Lights https://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.1106 Batteries https://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.34712 Once I receive everything I'll let you know how it all worked out.
