Wow - busy Friday on here. I picked up my reception dress and tried it on for my FI, he said it looks really good. But I forgot to have him take pictures while I had it on But I am really pleased and it fits perfectly. I'll try to put it on again later to post pictures. Also, today I picked up some fuchsia netting to add to my crinoline. I'll try it that way first with just a splash of color and then decide if I want to dye the whole thing. We started getting back some rsvp's, all the regrets of course. But at least I know and they were expected.

My garters are the same colors as his favorite team, and I plan on borrowing his jersey so it should go together well.

Brandy, who did you order from?

Laura - That dress is so elegant, I can see why you almost bought it.

If that happens there will be a lot more laughing at before the laughing with. I would be so embarrassed!

Thanks - depending on when I arrange the session, I can probably grab a pair. That's so nice of you to offer to mail them. I actually think I have a white boa from a friend's stagette. I want to have it done before the holidays because I will be off work and FI won't question where I am going all alone, but I also want to wait to pick up my wedding garters so I can include them. Any tips on how to relax and prepare. Aside from massive grooming and moisturizing!

Thanks Alison, I know you ordered extra lighting, but does the iPod speaker set include any additional lighting?

It will be beautiful for playing in the water and the strap will help it from falling or turning. I'm using my ceremony gown for the TTD and I worry about it slipping so FI better tie it tight!

Such a pretty dress, the one strap is so cute. Initially, I wanted a dress with one strap so badly and I still think they are too cute.

Brandy - The shipping company screwed up. They were supposed to reattempt delivery yesterday and just leave it without a signature, but instead they put it on Canada Post. So it is out for delivery today, but of course no one is there to sign so hopefully I can pick it up from the post office tonight. After the night/morning I had, I need something fun to cheer me up. Do you have a picture of what you chose?

Thanks Brandy! They attempted delivery yesterday but no one was there to sign so they didn't leave it So hopefully, it will arrive today because I called and told them to leave it. I think I will have to check out that site with the flowers. The last one is perfect... fuchsia and ivory!

Katelynn - I went with Monica Bridal both times. My first order was for my ceremony gown and another dress that I had hoped to wear for our welcome dinner. I never saw the original version of my ceremony gown. I saw the picture online and I decided that it would be my "just in case I can't find anything I love" which I haven't. She sent me pictures before shipping and I had a ruffle added. I was so excited to try it on when it arrived. Sadly, I had done my own measurements which resulted in it being much too big on me. I took it in for alterations and had them move a couple of ruffles as well as take in the sides. Now it fits perfectly. The other dress was not like the description and I almost think it is the wrong dress completely. It was supposed to be a halter and when I spoke to Monica Bridal I was told that the straps could be moved but that is not the case. I keep forgetting to send her the picture. So overall, I am happy now that the dress has been altered to fit. The bead work was amazing and the dress is nice and light. I've since decided to wear it with a crinoline so I'm glad it was light to begin with. My second order was also with Monica Bridal for my reception dress. Hopefully it is waiting for me when I get home so then I can report on how it turned out. Overall, they were good to deal with. I would order from them again if I needed another formal gown. Hmmmm...maybe for the AHR?

Brandy, I think with the bling on your dress you would be best with simple earrings and a sparkly bracelet. My FI gave me studs a couple of years ago and I wear them everyday, so I will wear them on our wedding day. I picked out a beautiful swarovski collar that I have adored for years and that will be my extra jewelery for the day. I just hope it's not too much with my reception dress because I'll be sad to take it off.

Cookiemunchkin - That one looks so much better. I think the more detail involved, the better it is to discuss with the dress maker. It makes such a big difference when you see the real thing and they only see a picture. Especially since the pictures don't always have show all the detail. I'm glad you're happier!

If you send the picture to the dressmaker they will replicate whatever you want. I did that for both of mine. You can either ask them to create a new item with your picture, or they will tell you which dress to order and include "Payment for dress as discussed" in the comments.
