  1. I thought it would look silly since the stripes in the fuchsia one go the opposite way. FI likes this one, but I wonder if it is too light: Here is the bm dress color:
  2. Good for you Erin! I lost ten pounds at the beginning of the month and noticed it most by the way clothes fit. We did a cleanse and completely changed our eating habits. Now, I'm pretty much back to eating "normal" and can already see everything coming back! I'm like you, and not a fan of veggies. And since I am away from home no one is here to remind to eat better and stop me from buying ice cream. Brandy, I prefer the last one too, but FI wanted something a little different for himself. I also like this one:
  3. Do you ladies think that this tie combination would look all right? For groom, For groomsmen, Or should I have them all wear this one,
  4. Brandy, I don't think you should be looking at the scale numbers at all. It should be about how your clothes are fitting and how you feel. That's where it will be most noticeable and rewarding. A couple of months ago you didn't think you would be able to fit your TTD and now you're well on your way.
  5. Yay Brandy! Your motivation is paying off!
  6. greysgirl - That list is great. My MoH suggested return of the mack as well, we saw it performed live one night at a club and they gave sunglasses out to everyone.
  7. I pasted it together based on a few different ones I found. This way it was personalized to our situation. Glad you enjoy.
  8. Here's our sand ceremony script: Before the two of you met, your lives were on separate roads ... each going in different directions and seemingly leading to different destinations. But somewhere along the way (through some twist of fate) you did meet, and you fell in love. Today, you find yourselves standing here together at the threshold of a new path, and have promised to forever join your once separate journeys into one. Bride and Groom may your love always be as constant as the never-ending waves, flowing endlessly from the depths of the sea. Just as there will never be a morning without the ocean’s flow, there will never be a day without your love for each other. Before each of you there is a container of sand. Each container represents the separate journeys you once were on. They also represent your own sets of friends and families that until today were apart from each other. I now ask that you blend these individual containers of sand together. Each container holds its own unique beauty, strength, and character. They can stand on their own and be whole, without need of anything else. However when these two are blended together they create an entirely new and extraordinarily more intricate entity. Each grain of sand brings to the mixture a lasting beauty that forever enriches the combination. As the sand has blended together, your lives too are joined. Your once solitary journeys have become one of companionship, as you now set forth on a single path together into your future. Your friends and family are as one as well.
  9. Apola, I have slowly been acquiring songs since we got engaged but now it's close enough to make some decisions. I have asked our WC for the ceremony script so I can finish off the programs and get them printed. I have most of the songs for the ceremony picked out, except our recession. I think you need guest procession, bridal party, bride, signing of documents and then recession. We are also doing sand ceremony before the recession and have to decide who will read it.
  10. Right now mp3 rocket... I'm not looking forward to the new download restrictions. I love having unlimited internet, especially since FI likes to play COD online too.
  11. So I decided that today is the day I will finish downloading our playlists. I want to come up with something fun for the morning of, including music we listened to back in high school. Anyone have some favorites from the late 90's?
  12. Tenny - My parents are the same way, even though I got the list in September for our save the dates, they still send the odd address. Guess they don't realize it's kind of late, and the invites were a ton of work!
  13. Very tropical, it should look gorgeous. Maybe you can have the bouquets tied with the lime green too?
  14. Don't forget, there's also limitations on the number of day passes they will let you have. For example, in our contract we are only allowed 4 day passes for every 20 people staying at the resort in our group. I'm so glad our photographers decided to stay at our resort, and even happier that they are the ones paying the bill!
  15. Laura, I hope they carry it in the stores. I think shipping for vs is a lot more reasonable now. For some reason, I think they ship from Windsor now.
  16. I love this dress. Even though I had already ordered a dress, which I still don't "love," I kept trying on dresses. This is the only one that I seriously considered buying. The pronovias and san patrick are definitely more suited for accentuating minimal curves. I'm still thinking of checking out buying the sample since our wedding is only a couple months away. San Patrick - Eresma (neither picture does this dress justice. amazing work on the bodice)
  17. We ordered our std magnets and post cards from vista print. Lots of times they send offers for 100 free postcards and 50 free magnets, you just have to pay shipping which is minimal. Sign up for the emails!
  18. Brandy, I got fuchsia parasols to use for aisle decor and then after wards in the pictures. I am set on finding another one so I can write "Just Married" on it for our AHR invites, much like this: Inspiration for the aisle
  19. The last ones are very cute. I guess I just need to give myself a deadline and make a shoe decision!
  20. Laura, I just have a hard time buying shoes online because I have a really high arch which needs lots of support. So sometimes the size really varies, I have everything from a 5 to a 7 in my closet! I also want something with lots of cushioning.
  21. Teira, I don't know what I want. I want a heel, but not too high or I will not make to the aisle, but not too low or I will have to get my dress altered. For a while I also couldn't decide between fuchsia and ivory, but now I think I want ivory, or maybe silver. Oh, I forgot to mention, I found 2.5" x 3" frames in orange at Michaels yesterday and they were only $1.50, so probably only a $1 in the U.S. They are part of the Moroccan collection. I bought out the store in Regina, and will probably send FI on the hunt for a bunch more. I'm going to use them as place card holders I think.
  22. I guess I should consider myself lucky that I only have one day off a week, and usually spend most of that day doing groceries and laundry. I'm also trying to restrict my internet usage, but keeping up on here is not helping. Yesterday, I was talking to FI while I was at Michaels, and joked that I might spend my annual bonus there. I need to make a list of stuff I definitely want to buy for the DW and stick to that.
  23. I only have 2 pairs of bridal shoes, and probably won't wear either. I need to find some soon but just haven't found any I like. I'm way too fussy. I told the BM just to find something they like in silver.
  24. I am also not very blessed up top but I certainly plan on stocking up on bandeaus. We'll be in Mexico for almost a week before the wedding, so I need to avoid tan and burn lines, and I tan easily. On days without the bandeau I hope to remember to slather on the sunscreen. So far, I have found one semi flattering bandeau from Old Navy that gathers in the middle. I also found a cute one piece with a little skirt from Bikini Bay. So I figure I need one more, which I plan on adding an iron-on Bride label to.
  25. Laura I totally sympathize with you. I am in Saskatchewan where this morning was -34 with the windchill! I do not understand why people choose to move here! I can't wait to get back to Southern Ontario (even with all the snow this year.) Watching CTV news this morning, they joked about calling in the army early for snow clearing!
