Hi All, i will be getting married at the Royal on Apr. 10 2011. I have a few questions and hoping to get some advice: Â 1. is a beach reception better at the Royal or Gran Porto? 2. is it a pain to stay at the Royal when all of our guests are staying at the Gran Porto? We need to stay at the Royal in order to have the wedding there but im concerned about not being able to spend time with our guests and being able to have my bridal party stay with me the night before the wedding... 3. how expensive the the Glass Bar restaurant for a private welcome party? any other suggestions for places to hold a welcome party? Â any suggestions/info would be greatly appreciated! Â Thanks so much! -Cat

hey all, im not sure if this topic is covered anywhere and i tried looking for it but couldnt find anything. The Royal menu options need to be decided prior to the wedding day. i want to give our guests 2 options but it is not allowed to give the guests the options when they are sitting at reception like any other wedding reception hall. to determine what the guests would like, do i ask each guest prior to the day? i was thinking of sending the choices with the invitation and have them send back their dinner choice to me with their RSVP. is this tacky or asking too much for our guests? Â any advice would be appreciated! Â Thanks!! Catalina

I have decided to have my wedding next year at the Royal in Playa Del Carmen but then started wondering if Dreams in Los Cabos would be better....have any of you considered either of these resorts and locations and what made you choose one over the other(or neither!)...any info would be helpful...
