  1. It's official! I'm going to be a St. Lucia bride in July 2011! We have chosen the Sandals Grande St. Lucian. Any advice, tips, pictures from couples who have gotten married there?
  2. Are you doing the wedding through Moondance? I didn't think you could have the wedding on the beach unless you were staying at the villas. That would be great news!
  3. I am getting such great information on here, but I'm so confused, and I hope someone will be able to help. We want to narrow it down and book this week for a DW next July. I've been leaning toward the Sandals resorts in St. Lucia because we love the island and it just seems so easy with Sandals. However, I've read a lot of negative reviews about the Regency and Halcyon, and I'm not sure we can afford the Grande. Has anyone gotten married on the beach at one of these resorts? That is the one thing we are sure of...we want to be married on the beach. Â I'm starting to have a bad feeling about Sandals, but it seems like it would be so easy/affordable for the wedding and I wanted our guests to have all-inclusive so they wouldn't have to leave the resort if they didn't want to. Are there any other great all-inclusives on the island, with a great beach and great view? Similar or more affordable to Sandals pricing? We will have adults only, so no kids allowed is not a problem. Oh, and also, my fiance is allergic to cats and I've read there are a lot of them roaming around...any experience with that? Â Thanks for any help! I'm lost right now and stressing about making a decision this week! Anything is appreciated! Â Â
  4. So I've decided my dream destination wedding would take place on the beach at Moon Dance Villas. Is there anyone out there who has gotten married there? I'm not sure I can afford it, and wondering if anyone can tell me how much they ended up paying. I know the wedding is complimentary, but there seems to be a lot of things to add on... Did anyone have guests staying at the cliffs? My other option is Sandals Whitehouse. We love this option too, but I just have my heart set on Moon Dance. Thanks for any help!
  5. Thanks! I'm exhausted from searching the threads...haha too long on the computer. I have found a lot of great info, but not the specific things I would like to know. I haven't gotten any information from the resort yet, but I'm wondering if there is anyone out there who has done a combination of the Cliffs/Villas for their wedding...is that allowed? I've read you can only have the same number of outside guests as you have staying at the Villas, but I'm wondering if this applies to people staying at the Cliffs? If they are connected, you would think the rules wouldn't apply? How would the reception work? What is included in the free wedding package? We would love to just rent out the villas, but I don't think some of my guests could afford that, and I want to offer them the price of the Cliffs. I'm a little lost right now and could really use some info! I appreciate any details!
  6. Thanks, I'm leaning toward Jamaica, but I'm not set on anything. I'll take any ideas! I want affordable luxury. Leaning toward Moon Dance Villas/Cliffs (if we can afford it) or Sandals Whitehouse.
  7. Hi Again, I have been busy posting today with a lot of questions, but if I don't get this resort question settled, I'm going to go crazy! Did a lot of research tonight and came across Moon Dance Villas and Cliffs. Moon Dance Villas looks like a beautiful place to have a wedding (we want to get married on the beach). Can anyone tell me if it would be convenient/possible for guests to stay at the Cliffs? We want everyone to have a more affordable option. Are the two places linked/easy to travel to and from? Anybody had a wedding there and willing to pass along specific info as far as prices/reception options? What exactly is included? Pictures? Thanks so much! So thankful for this website, because I would be lost without it! -Jessica
  8. Hi Ladies, We are in the beginning stages of planning our wedding, and we are looking for a great resort. I initially thought Sandals would be perfect, but I'm getting mixed reviews. Will you help me? Please let me know if you had a great experience at a resort in the Caribbean. I would like to find a place that offers a complimentary wedding package and would accommodate 10-25 guests. Thank you for your advice! Jessica
  9. Hi Sandals Brides, My fiance and I would like to get married next summer at one of the Sandals resorts, but we have a ton of questions! We don't know anyone who has gotten married at any of the resorts, so we would appreciate any and all information you can provide! What is the best month to get married in the Caribbean (thinking about weather)? Which resort is the most affordable, but still very beautful? I think we would just need the Beautiful Beginnings ceremony and basic reception. We will have anywhere from 10-25 guests and would like to do some sort of dinner reception after. Is there a restaurant with great music for my guests to dance? Is it easy to make a reservation? We want as much of a traditional reception as possible, with dinner, dancing, and drinks, but we are on a tight budget. I welcome any advice! Thanks everyone!
