  1. Since they recently lowered the package prices for weddings, I'm hoping the a la carte items might be on sale as well. We were originally hoping to do the Vision in White arch, but $600 seemed a bit much. Does anyone know if the arches are on sale now and how much they are?
  2. Anyone thought about not doing the first dance? I'm having such a small wedding now, and my fiance thinks it might be a little awkward. I don't really want that awkward attention, but I feel like we should do it "just because." Thoughts?
  3. Thanks for sharing! I am so ready to be there...
  4. Love the idea of Pandora jewelry for the moms. We will start with a charm for our wedding, and then we will always have gift ideas in the future!
  5. Good thinking! I hate to have to pay the full price because I waited to long...thanks for the tip!
  6. These are awesome! Can't wait to use some of the ideas.
  7. Great job coordinating everything! Oh how I wish I could sew....
  8. Hi Phil and Erin, I am getting married at Sandals Grande St. Lucian. Since we aren't getting married until July, I can't really provide a review, but everything has been great so far. The resort is a bit pricey and is selling out fast, but I've heard that would be the same at T and C. I do like that my guests can stay on any 1 of the 3 resorts and still attend the wedding for free or come over and visit whenever. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, and I will help as much as I can!
  9. I'm down 15 pounds from just dieting, so I'm going to add some exercise to the mix...starting P90X tomorrow! I need to drop another 30, but I want to look very toned, not just thin. I'm a former athlete and really want that part of me back. Wish me luck!
  10. I now have my CD's and am going to start tomorrow! I've lost about 15 pounds from dieting only (in two months and cheating A LOT), so now I'm ready to see what sticking to the diet and doing the exercises will do for my body. I still want to lose about 30 lbs, but my main goal is losing inches and dropping at least 2 dress sizes. Does anyone have advice on which program to choose? I'm starting with the classic, but I thought the lean might be better?
  11. I was really struggling with this for a while. I originally thought we would have close to 30 people, but now many people have backed out...some really important people that mean the world to me. My feelings were really hurt at first, but then I realized I was getting stressed over something I had no control over, and one of the reasons I chose a DW is because of the low-stress factor. Now I've just made up my mind that no matter who shows up, as long as my fiance is there, I am happy. I had plans for the big dinner/reception, and I'm still planning to do the private dinner and reception. The only change is we won't rent a DJ now...just use the IPod. We will still do the first dance, but that is about the only formal thing, as we won't be having a wedding party (didn't want to place that pressure on people).
  12. Better to be too big than too small Will there be music? Because then you'd have some extra room for dancing.
  13. Great idea LilyRose! Wow...we are one of the first on the list. The time is flying by!
  14. Thanks ladies! I ordered the lace one (#1) yesterday with a champagne-colored sash! I decided it was more beachy than the other and the reviews on it our great (very comfortable). I can't wait to get it! Thanks for the advice!
  15. Wow, I haven't been on here for a while, and it's good to see the thread so active! JessMarie, we paid $150 to expedite our wedding, but that is through Sandals...not sure about the cost everywhere else. That is a long flight from Seattle! We are lucky we are just heading down from Atlanta. I am getting pretty excited as Sarah is finishing up my St. Lucia boarding pass invites this week. We sent out STD's back in August, so these are just the formal part. I am excited to get a final count and start looking forward to the fun stuff! If you haven't ordered invitations yet, Sarah at Sproullie designs is creating mine. Here is the link... http://www.etsy.com/listing/43093178/deposit-boarding-pass-invitation-st?ref=sr_gallery_1&ga_search_query=st.+lucia+boarding+pass&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_facet=handmade If that doesn't work, just go to etsy.com and type in st. lucia boarding pass. I can't wait to send them out!
  16. Welcome and congrats! I don't know much about Stonefield Estates, as I'm getting married at Sandals, but I'm sure it will be beautiful! If you don't care that much about all the little details, it seems like it would be easier/cheaper to just go with the free wedding. I agree that spending a little extra on a photographer is the way to go. Happy planning!
  17. Which Sandals are you choosing for your ceremony/reception? It is VERY hard to find pictures of ceremonies, but I have found a few. My TA has some on her Facebook page....Leslie's Vacations Honeymoons and Destination Weddings.
