  1. LilyRose, I know how you feel! I have a daily panic attack, and I can't really do anything right now, because I'm a teacher and that is taking all my energy right now! Can't wait until the end of May when I can start buying welcome bag goodies and clothes for our trip. I did make some big decisions yesterday, and I am so excited to share and see what you guys think. We are getting married on the beach, and I've been going back and forth on flowers, arches, table decor, etc., but this is what we have decided.... I'm loving the feel of the purple and orange now! I'm usually into simple/earthy colors, but I decided to go all the way tropical. Getting so excited now that it is all coming together and so close! 2. This is the bouquet I chose! So excited to finally make a decision...hoping it looks just like the picture!
  3. Ashleyn, This website is confusing, because you'll find that Sandals is very confusing! You need to find yourself a good TA, if you haven't already! I have on if you need her info... There is a new sales kit (updated 3/3/11) that I will be happy to send you, if you don't already have it. To have a meal, you would need to purchase the two hour reception, which is $50. The one hour includes hot and cold hors d'oeuvres. If your guests do not stay at the resort, they will have to buy a day pass. The day pass price changes depending on the time of your wedding. Our passes our $150 for a full day, and that includes the $75 for the reception, but that is for St. Lucia. Extra BB tables are $100 and seat 8 each. Let me know if you have any other questions, or if you still need a kit. Good luck!
  4. Thanks for the info! I'll have to check into the other perks at 5 rooms. The upgrade would be nice if the resort wasn't completely sold out for the length of our stay. oh well
  5. Miriya, There's no actual list of these items, you can just look at the list of items under each package and then request the price. The only way I could get the prices was to ask my TA about each exact item. They will not send you a list. For example, if I want the price of a bouquet, I have to send the bouquet number, and she gets back to me with a price. It's a bit too crazy for me and has really turned me off from Sandals. I don't understand why all the prices are kept secret. It would be so nice (and I might even purchase more) if Sandals would just send us a list of possible extras with prices. My TA informed me the flowers haven't gone on sale, but I heard on here they have. If anyone hears about specific pricing for bouquets, please post!
  6. MEve, sorry you're having so much trouble! We are getting married at Sandals, and we booked through a well-recommended TA. She has been FANTASTIC, and if you want her info, I can send it to you. We did not do a "package deal," since Sandals doesn't discount the resort costs anyway, so everyone is booking the resort through our TA and booking airfare either through her or on their own when they find a good deal. At first, so many people said they wanted to come, but many have backed out now. I don't think we'll get the ten rooms (and all the perks that come with that), but that's okay. We sent out invitations to everyone we wanted to invite. We're still not sure how many will actually book, but we don't really have to know until May. This makes it hard to plan ahead, but I'm okay with that because I'm a teacher and won't have the time until May anyway. We have developed a very laid-back attitude with this whole destinationg wedding thing....I think you have to! I don't know if I answered your questions or not, but let me know if you think I can help more. I have been MIA because I have had so much on my plate lately. First shower today It's getting really exciting now...
  7. Congrats on setting a date MEve! I will take lots of pictures if we visit Halcyon, and I'm sure some of the wedding details will be the same.
  8. I found out a few price changes from my TA, so I thought I would go ahead and list the information. As we all find out the new prices for things, please post! Flutter, Vision, and Chic Arches are now $350 A bare white or bamboo arch is $200 (pay to add flowers or fabric) All theme cakes are now $300, except Seaside Serenade ($500) Star Lanterns $300 Candy Buffet $300 I've requested new prices on flowers, so I'll post those when I receive the updates.
  9. Do you have the most recent sales kit? If so, can I PM you my email address?
  10. Monica, how funny about your fiance. Mine has 0 stress...I don't think he will be the one packing, anyway. You're ordering havaianas? I love them!!!! My favorite flip flop for years. I purchased them on sale (from Gap) this winter for my OOT bags. Are you wearing them for your ceremony? I still haven't decided on my shoes and would love to just wear a pair of H's, but I think my mom would kill me.
  11. Love the simplicity of your wedding stamp. Congrats!
  12. Congratulations! Everything looked so beautiful...thanks for sharing!
  13. I don't think there are any other Cap Maison brides on here, but welcome! Is that where you are getting married, or just staying? I am getting married at Sandals Grande in July. Our photographer is traveling with us, and I am purchasing a simple white rose bouquet (provided by Sandals). Sorry I can't help much with outside vendors, since Sandals provides everything.
  14. I am Sandals bride, but I check here for updated information...thank you ladies! I had been waiting to hear the price of the white arch. I'll take that price reduction! Can't wait to hear about the flowers. Please post if you have that information.
  15. A friend of mine is throwing us a shower, and she just wrote on the invitation that we were registered, but cash and any gift cards would be greatly appreciated as well. I think if you don't register for much, people will get the hint!
  16. Love the pictures...seems like a beautiful place to stay and get married! We are getting married in St. Lucia at the Sandals Grande. Our flights were pricey...$900 roudntrip from Atlanta. I've heard Jetblue is offering direct flights from New York that are more affordable.
  17. This is why I am not having any bridesmaids or groomsmen...just didn't want to put the pressure on people and then be disappointed if they can't go. I decided early in the planning that if it was just my fiance and me, I would be okay with that. We picked an expensive destination, and I can't fault people for not wanting to spend the money. On a side note, it feels really good when people do book, because I know they are sacrificing a good bit to join us.
  18. Seems like you should be fine as long as you are in a resort (touristy) area. Many people are scared to travel to Jamaica because of the crime rumors, but they don't understand how safe the areas for tourists usually are. I say read some reviews on tripadvisor.com and go with what you love. Good luck!
  19. I think a good way to think of it is the darker the fruit is, the better it is for you (most of the time).
