Good luck LilyRose! I hope everything is just perfect for you. We will be following you to St. Lucia on the 12th. So close! -
Thanks guys! You're making me feel a lot better.... Still haven't decided what to do, and I guess that will just depend on time.

When I started planning my wedding, I had the hardest time choosing colors, so I just didn't. We're not having a bridal party, so I didn't really think it would be a big deal. I purchased a boarding pass invitation that was turquoise and black, because I really liked it. Now I'm getting together gift bags and using the same monograms from my invitations (turquoise and black). The only problem is...I chose an orange, yellow, and purple bouquet and the centerpieces contain magenta orchids (Sandals Beautiful Beginnings theme). My question is....Is it really that big of deal to have everything match? I really don't want to redesign my monogram to match my flower colors unless I really need to. Help!

Sandals St. Lucia Brides?
wilsonj2 replied to wilsonj2's topic in Sandals, Beaches, and Royal Plantation Resorts Weddings
Congrats! They do charge you a setup fee..I think it's $250. I think the plain white chairs are pretty, but if you really want to add something, you would have to buy it through Sandals or pay the fee. You could always add an arch or flower petals for the aisle. We are doing the BB, but we upgraded to the chic and natural arch ($350) and the island paradise bouquet. We are also getting married at 4, and we are having the steel drum band, which will play into the cocktail hour (while we take pictures). We are doing the 2 hour dinner at 6. I'll let you know how it goes...only two weeks! -

Just wanted to share my recent purchase...if you're having a small wedding and want a nice gift bag, these are a great deal and high quality! I ordered the medium tote bag from Lands End and had them all monogrammed (I only needed 5, so I wanted to do a nicer beach bag). They are $25.50 and if you buy 3 or more you get $5 off each! Then I googled for a coupon and also got $10 off and free shipping. They have lots of pockets inside, and they come in a ton of fun colors. I ordered each woman their favorite color. Now to fill them with goodies! Question....Has anyone ever had problems taking gift bag items through customs in St. Lucia? -

Chelsea, your jewelry and pictures are beautiful! Thanks for the recommendations, but I just can't make my fiance wear a suit, although it would look really nice! I just want him to be comfortable, so I think we're going with a linen shirt/pants combo from www.islandimporter.com . I think I'm just going barefoot and will pick up some sparkly flip flops somewhere. Less than a month...can't believe it! -

Post Groom and GM attire

I'm thinking of ordering from www.islandimporter.com Does anyone have experience with this company? I'm wondering if the following items run true to size and if they are good quality. It also says a 36" inseam is standard, and that is what my fiance needs. I'm wondering if they really are that long. Here is the outfit: linen almalfi shirt (in white) linen almalfi pant (in natural) Thanks for the input! We are married in less than a month and this is stressing me out -

It's been quiet on here! I guess everyone is as busy as I am...We are only a month away! I still have so much to do, but I'm trying to relax and just enjoy. I still don't have shoes and my fiance has nothing to wear. I am working mostly on OOT bags right now and trying to work out every day to firm up before the wedding. Lilyrose, are you getting excited? I cannot believe how close we are to leaving! I arrive the day after you get married. -
I know you ladies are the best at finding great deals, so here's my desperate request... The thing I really wanted to include in my OOT bags were personalized acrylic tumblers with lids/straws. I just love these, and I know my guest would too! The problem I am running into is that most companies want do less than 36, and I just need 10 (willing to get a few more if I need to meet a minimum). I tried discountmugs.com, but for twelve (minimum) and the design set up fee, it's going to be almost $200. I cannot justify paying thtat, and I'm about to just give up and order some generic ones from ebay. I hope someone has an idea or fantastic coupon! Thanks in advance!

Hi, I'm having my wedding there next month! We are getting married at the Grande, which seems to have the best reviews (and view). I have spent a lot of time on Tripadvisor, since there is not much on here. Through that site, I found couples who were married at the Grande and had nothing but great things to say. I'll be happy to answer whatever questions I can for you. When are you planning your wedding? I will post a review when we get back (end of July).

Flowers
wilsonj2 replied to wilsonj2's topic in Sandals, Beaches, and Royal Plantation Resorts Weddings
Has anyone upgraded your bouquet recently? I'm looking for pictures from the floral catalogue or custom flower designs through Sandals or Beaches. I have decided to upgrade my bouquet (probably to the Island Paradise theme bouquet), but I really want to see how they actually turn out. Does anyone have any pics of their bouquets? And no offense to the ladies using real touch, but I'm only interested in the Martha Stewart bouquets or customized real bouquets. I realize they are a lot more money, but it's totally worth it to me. Thanks! -
OOT Bags - Anyone DISLIKE???
wilsonj2 replied to proti007's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
I am doing OOT bags, but I'm not including things people will probably bring anyway. We are having a pretty small wedding, so I'm going to make a sort of "Favorite Things" type bag, with candles, flip flops, sarongs, some jewelry, shirts for the guys, mugs, and a "too much fun, too much sun" kit. I think it's a nice gesture. This is also where we will put presents for our mothers and my sister. I agree that they are not a must, and sometimes they can just turn into wasted money on things people might not use or already have. -
Maybe you could just pay the difference for them to stay at the Sandals resort with you? I am paying for my photographer friend fly out and to stay with us. I talked to a TA who told me she had a bride bring her own photographer and decline all Sandals photography. You lose the free 5x7, but your friend will be able to freely take pictures without having to compete. Otherwise, I've heard the Sandals photogs can be quite annoying trying to take pictures at the same time. There is a form you can sign at the resort, and Sandals will not send out a photographer. I don't think they really advertise this option.

Congrats Jamie! You're wedding will be the day after mine When are you flying in? If you haven't booked your flight yet, maybe you could change your days and not have to get there so far ahead. We decided to fly in on Tuesday, but that's still less than the 3 business days required.
