  1. I was actually lucky enough to have a friend who bought 50 sashes and used them as table runners for her wedding last year. They are not exactly the same color turquoise as I wanted, but really close, and long enough to use for chair bows. Â Before my friend offered, I did a google search and found a local rental place that was going to let me rent and take the bows to Mexico for $1.50 each.
  2. I love the lanterns...so easy to pack! Â Mexico102, I got the same information about the chairs...there are others available, but you need to rent them $$$ I think I am just going to use the free ones (folding chairs with white chair covers) and am bringing my own sashes/bows. Easy and cheaper
  3. Hi Jesken! I am getting married on Dec 3, 2010, and we arrive on Nov 30...what time is your wedding??? I am also new to this site, and am glad to have found someone who is going to be there around the same time! This site is sooo packed with information, and has tons of reviews from brides who have returned, everyone has said great things about the resort, so I don't think we should worry too much. The recurring theme seems to be "don't stress, because it will be perfect" and I guess you'll get a chance to work out all the details with Jacy once you get there. Â I was thinking about reserving El Patio as well, did you have to pay a rental fee for it with the Ultimate pkg?
  4. I would also love to see the pictures from the portfolio if you are able to post or email them. Â I was about to book appointments at the spa for hair and makeup for myself and bridesmaids...only to find out that they only have one staff working in the spa! That means everyone would have to be done one person at a time. My wedding is at 2pm, so we definitely don't have time for that...did anyone else run into this problem?? Or is there more staff brought in for weddings?
  5. Thanks for the ideas for the guys bags...I just got 2 new 'corona' cooler bags with a purchase...I didn't even consider using them but I think they will work perfect! I was going to make my own sashes, but I just found a lady who rents wedding linens...she sells organza sashes for $1.40ea...plus she's local so no shipping YAY! Thanks for your help
  6. Hi Everyone! I am new to this site and am getting married at DPA December 3, 2010. We just decided this in June, so I have alot of planning to do in a short time I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for items for OOT bags for single guys. And also what to use for the bag itself (I have nice beach totes for all the other guests but I feel they are a little too girly for a guy on his own. Also, does anyone know if chair sashes are included in the Ultimate Pkg? I couldn't tell by the email and pictures Jacy sent me.
