SChica927, personally I feel like going with Marvin for centerpieces would be pushing it b/c then you would have to give those to your coordinator to setup at the reception. I would def think they would give you a hard time for that.

Krsmith, I think the MP is used to this. Marvin told me the drop off is very smooth, he just says a gift for a guest and they let him in. If anything, when my wedding coordinator asks me about my flowers, I'll just say they are already taken cared of. She actually hasn't even asked me or question me about it. I will just let her know that my family from home provided them as a wedding present. I am sure they know what's really going on but what are they going to do, not let you have your flowers on your wedding day?

Mocha, thanks for being so responsive and helping all us girls out. I am barely getting any work done! I am all over this site today:-) I have another question for you Mocha, did you worry about your e-ring? My mother in law was like you should wear a fake ring so ppl don't try to rob your for your ring. I think it's crazy that she thinks that but I just wanted to ask other brides if they are worried about their e-rings in Mexico.

Random ? Does anyone know what the cost is to rent bikes? Can you use vacation dollars? Also, my family is big into tennis can they rent tennis equipment or should they bring their own?

Yes I did, she was just like let me send you another picture and it was basically the same but in red. She was like if you don't like it then pick something else. So I went with a low centerpiece that hopefully they can't mess up. I really am over spending so much and who really is going to care after the wedding is over.

From my experience they don't do a mockups for you. My friend that's a bride on here just asked them to send a real life example of what they did for another wedding.So here's my example. I am so glad my friend sent me this b/c I would have been so upset if I went to reception and saw the hideous centerpiece. So I wanted this for a centerpiece and this is the pic they sent me which I assumed they created. Why would I think otherwise? Then a bride that I met on BDW sends me the pic of an actual example of what Deco did that's suppose to be like the one above. Um they look totally different. I wast totally upset when I saw this b/c I am not paying $115 for that crap. It looks nothing like the picture above.

Thanks for the heads up! I am glad to hear that the regular champagne is decent. At the bar, can you get sparkling wine anytime? So the mascara took days to get off? So does that mean it didn't run when or if you cried? I can't wear waterproof b/c I get raccoon eyes from the oils or something. I recommend Loreal lash tubes, It comes in a red/white bottle. It kind of flakes off vs smears so I like that but if I cry alot, so help me bc that will def flake off!

Thanks Mocha! I already warned the fiance to put on sunscreen. I was like don't jack up my pics:-) We're there for 4 days before so that's alot of sun beforehand. Ok great! I am really excited to hear that they do a good job on makeup. I always look like a clown after my makeup is done. I think I'll bring my own foundation and mascara though b/c I know what works for my skin. OK I'll def ask my coordinator. Thanks! I saw your other post about being able to upgrade to moet for your champagne for $165/bottle. Was it worth it? I def won't have enough vacation dollars for it b/c I'll need like 10 bottles.

Ladies, Just a warning, make sure to ask Katie/Deco for pictures of actual centerpieces they made. Some pics are not actual pics of their centerpieces and just pics they use as examples. I was rudely surprised when another bride sent me a pic of what they actually did vs the pic they provided me. I had asked for a high centerpiece with a tree branch and then candles hanging off. What they actually did for another wedding was hideous. It look like they took twigs from my backyard and stuck them in a flower pot. It was not high and the amount of flowers in the vase was so small. I had to changed my centerpieces b/c it was not worth the $115 they were going to charge.

Well I hope my hair stays all night! I hope Doris can pull off he pouf like Alberto. I really wanted him but since he doesn't work on Sundays, I got Doris but I heard good things about her too. Thank god I signed up for a trial. As for your burnt forehead, I am glad Alberto helped you! That's my worst fear! I know its bad but I started tanning now for my wedding. I plan on hiding under the umbrella and my big floppy hat until my wedding b/c I can't risk getting burned and peeling! Mocha, I have a couple of questions if you don't mind: 1. Did you use the makeup from the salon? I plan on bringing some of my own!. As for eyelashes, I was not blessed with much so I am bring false ones! 2. Do you know if they offered you a changing area at the reception? I am having my reception in the star ballroom but I was just wondering if anyone knew if they have one available for the bride. I am changing for a bit during my reception into my culture's traditional dress.

Actually, I know 2 other brides who booked in January with me who got to use their resort dollars for extra hours. This is why I am annoyed with the MP, they tell ppl diff things. I was told I could use it on the first hour only as well. So the $300 package is only for palace members?

Mocha, can you post a pic of your hair for us please? I requested Roberto but he doesn't work on Sundays:-( So I got Doris and I heard she's good but not with the puff. I do have a hair trial though so I hope she can pull it off. I want my hair to be like this. BTW, I found this pic from another MP's brides pic. DiamondGirl, I think you were able to use the resort dollars for the extra hours but since they changed the rules for video and resort dollars, they won't let you add on now. Did you get them to agree to use your resort dollars for your 1st hour of video yet b/c if you haven't, I know they are not honoring the resort dollars anymore.

Thanks! I ordered the koozies from this seller from Ebay. Just search for odysseycustomdesigns She was awesome and a great deal. I got 100 koozies for $79.00. Here is their fb fan page that shows their designs facebook.com/koozierevolution. My bm designed what I wanted b/c I wanted to keep it consistent with my other items so I just sent them them the file and voila, they came out perfect. I got 50 hot pink and 50 orange. Here is what my card said. I am not going to lie, I stole some of the wording from other brides on BDW:-) The other side I listed all the events for the week like the welcome dinner, rehearsal dinner, wedding day events and breakfast with the bride and groom the day after. I also got these cards made in vistaprint. It was 50 oversized postcards for free but I paid for the backside to be in color and for shipping so for 50 cards, it was about $17. I did slow shipping and it came pretty fast.

O yeah, forgot to ask. Do you think I'll have a hard time getting all this stuff through customs. I starting puttting the box of stuff together and it's alot. 43 lbs to be exact! I hope they don't stop me from bringing this stuff into Mexico. Kyndall, Allison . .did you guys bring stuff and have a hard time?

So I wanted to share my OOT bags with you guys. Do you think this is enough? I feel like I've spent so much already. So that's my welcome card, back and front (I put 2 so you can see both sides). The OOT bag it self was screenprinted by me and my talented BM. It was such a pain to make 45 of them. I am hoping my guests can use the bags as beach bags too. Some are a little messed up but it was made with love:-) In the celophane bags, I have gatoratde packets, advil, pepto, bandaids, aloe vera, hand sanitizer, and sunscreen. I think I might get some gum/mints too. If you ladies have any other ideas, let me know!

Kyndall, Thanks for posting your review. When you said put your phone to airplane mode, does that mean you got free wifi on your phone and didn't get charged through your service provider? I have Doris too for my hair. Please post pics of your hair if you can! Did Doris do your makeup as well? I want a high "Puff" as well. Was she just hesistant or did she not know what to do? BTW, you said you gave your wc a thank you gift.Was it her tip? Or did you get her something else? Congrats and I am glad to hear your wedding was such a success even though you had a diff wc.

I am going to take the complimentary bouquet from MP but use it as a toss bouquet. I decided to go with marvin b/c I wanted them to be more consistent with my other flowers. In my bouquet, I have ivory roses, white asian lillies, white calla lillies, white ranuculus and green hydrangea . .ok I lied I have some green but its really light so it blends in well. For my BM bouques, fuischa and orange roses, green mums, fuischa and orange gerber daisies. My MOH bouquet is different and bigger fuischa and orange roses, green mums, fuschia dalias and these green berries. The cost of this was $55. Marvin is wonderful. Tell him your colors or what flowers you like and he'll send you pics to fit your colors and hopefully you'll find something you like. I had originally asked for plain calla lillies but it was alot more expensive. He said some flowers are more b/c they have to import it. I am sure those green orchids are imported as well. Hence the price. He has paypal now so the payment is easy to make. I just paid 50% recently and will pay the rest when he drops off.

I think the prices of the flowers depends on the time of the year too. $65 is pricey but it is green orchids. I am getting my bm bouquets for $35 and my all white bouquet is $115. BTW, I saw an awesome idea from another bride. So she ordered these boxes from http://blumebox.com/8-inch-blumebox.shtml and she is taking her bm bouquets and doubling them as centerpieces for the reception. I wish I had thought f that b/c I would have saved so much money! Maybe someone else could use this idea.

I can't wait to come back and help the rest of you girls.. OMG, Father Aguilar! LOL I am doing 2 readings and a responsial psalm and the unity candle. I hope he's fast. I am meeting him a few days before my wedding. No lazo ceremony. Thanks for letting me know about the vents. I actually have alot of guest. 90 total so we'll just barely fit. I might make my wedding party stand the whole time is that mean. There are 8 pairs! I am doing the draping in the chapel and doing some draping on the pews with roses and rose petals. I did order rose petals from Marvin bc I didn't want to bring freeze dried petals. As for centerpieces I am getting them from deco. I might get the flowers for the alter, haven't decided yet but I'll get it from the resort.

Alison! Thanks for posting more pics! I have father Aguilar too. How do you like him? Was the ceremony really and hour? I am using Marvin too, he's awesome. I am opting for his bouquet for myself too and going to use my complimentary one to either throw or use to decorate the cake table.

I talked to Msjesslee about the drop off b/c I was concerned since I have such a big order and she put me at ease. She said they scheduled a time for drop off and she had her brother in law meet Marvin in the lobby. He tells the hotel that he has a gift from back home for the bride and groom and they let him in. Marvin is pretty thorough. When I finally decided on what flowers I wanted he put the pics in a price quote so I knew exactly what I was ordering and how many. Since his drop off will probably be at the time when I am at the salon. I am going to have a friend meet Marvin in the lobby with the cash and I will print the bill he created so my friend can make sure what he delivers looks like what I ordered. Hope this helps.
