We had 3 payments. The first payment is the cost of one night. Then 2nd payment was 50% of the charges due minus the initial deposit and third payment was the remainder 50%. Teresa, let my guest make payments in between if they wanted to break out the payments. I am not sure how she came up with the schedule but my wedding is May 29th, the 1st payment was due when you book and I had my booking available back in October. The 2nd payment wasn't due till Feb and the third was due in April.

The cost for hair and makeup went up. I got grandfathered in with the 2010 prices since I booked before March but the 2011 prices are now: Hair $89 Makeup $65

How's the weather? I started looking at the forecast and got upset with all the 30-40% chance rain! Also, sorry to hear about the issue with the rooming? Is the resort that packed or just the Moon Grand side?

I have Kalena, same slow to respond and when she does she's very apologetic. I almost feel bad bothering her b/c I know she's busy with other brides. Overall she got everything booked that I wanted pretty early on and even called me once to go over the details and send me a follow-up email. I hadn't heard from her since mid April but she emailed me last night and pretty much she is aware of my updates and we're all set to meet next Wednesday:-)

I think you Del Sol is one of their approved outside vendors. I think you can get away with a day pass for a photographer but I just opted for a room b/c I just wanted to play it safe. Do you have a wc assigned? I requested mine so they just told me ok and gave me her email address.

Great! I hope the girls dresses are too much to get pressed. I would like to offer to pay but my fiance wants to hurt me b/c I keeping spending money. You don't really see how things add up till you write it down:-(

My WC finally responded to me last night and let me know that they do provide table card holders for the reception.

Mocha, Do you happen to know the price list for the steaming services? I am thinking of offering to pay to have my BM dresses pressed/steamed for the girls along with the GM suits.I have 8 each so I was wondering if the price was reasonable. Thanks!

Schica, My TA got me the same group contract through the Moon Palace and I got my unlimited events. I had some guests book through Travelocity/expedia but overall we still hit our room nights b/c I got a decent rate from my TA.

I am booking Ivan Luckie as my photographer. I didn't get him a day pass but decided to get him a room to make it easy. Good idea, I can totally vouch for Teresa that she's is super organized. I have 90 guests for my wedding and she's been on top of it. No matter how busy she is, she always responds to me. I seriously love her! Plus she has a good payment schedule and she refunded my deposit immediately after the final payment was collected from my guests.

She recommended me to my TA Teresa from Vacations 4 less and she even beat the price that the Moon Palace originally offered me. She's been great through he whole process. Let me know if you want me to post her information b/c she can get you the same promotions and deals as if you went through the Moon Palace.

Mocha, is it true that the NIzuic side has little to no double beds and more king beds? I am asking b/c I was told that my wedding group would mostly be on the Sunrise side b/c I have a lot of double bed requests and for the king size one it would be harder on the Sunrise side since they don't have as much.

Good idea Mocha! I do have a document I put together listing everything. One thing I am nervous about right now is confirming our meeting time. She gave me 3 options and I want to make sure she's there when I come to meet her.

Aholen, I am on the same boat as you and my wedding is exactly 2 weeks from today and I leave in 10 days. I also have Kalena. So if you have any specific questions I can help you with, let me know. I haven't heard from Kalena too since mid April but for some reason I am pretty calm. I feel like by the time I get there she will have everything handled and I'll be fine. Wishful thinking right? I have been working with Kodak and the new contact person for them is Lupita and she's been so great and really responsive. For the group tours, you cannot book that ahead of time. They told me that you have to wait to arrive and then go straight to the tours counter to book bc otherwise it would not be fair to book ahead since we are using the promotion dollars. The only thing you can book ahead is your hair/makeup for your bridal party with the vacation dollars. As for the tables. the round are 72 inches. I am not sure about the rectangle sice I didn't opt for any but if you are working with Deco, I am sure they can help you with that. Hope you're feeling better. I am not sure, I just saw this idea on one of the wedding blogs I was reading and thought it was a cute idea. I wonder if I can hang it off the top of a door or something. Well the funny thing is I just got sideswept bangs like 3 months ago and the FI is not a fan. So either way, I will look the same with or without bangs. Did you do a hair trial Mocha? Great idea! One of my bridesmaid saw it yesterday and said I want one too. The etsy seller was Twistedwords. She was so easy to work with. I wanted the lilyfrance one that is in all the mags and the knot.com but she was too busy but I am happy with this one b/c I could make it all girly with the hot pink.

I am glad there is a nice breeze, I need it! Yeah, I bought some of this powder my makeup artist back home suggested. She said it should take the shine away. I don't have a veil but I am wondering if I should pull back my bangs so it doesn't get blown all over my face but most of my wedding is indoors except cocktail hour.
