This is a must see post!!! ***Warning*** what you are about to see is unbelievable! I was recently at a wedding where the couple had a "resort photographer" as part of their package. I asked them to have him show up at the reception when I was ending the wedding package they hired me for. We over lapped for a short time... but what resulted is amazing! I can't believe they call this photography! Some of the pictures are from the same wedding... and I included comparables from other weddings so you can see what Im talking about. If you are considering going with your resort photographer because hiring a professional is too expensive. Keep this in mind!!! You are not hiring a photographer. Fact is... your guests are more likely to take better pictures with a decent camera. Nothing artistic is going to be captured and you will be left with dull and out of focus pictures as part of the resort package. Congrats on your Dec wedding coming up in our magnificent Mayan Riviera, MBK!!! yes, sunsets here are really fast, so prior planning is important. Here's a link to the Cancun sunsets in Dec 2015 from our webpage: Cancun sunsets 2015 which shows the sunset ranging from 5:05 to 5:17 in Dec 2015 This is a suggested timeline that we've found works well in the flow of your wedding day time line.... (Assuming a 3pm Ceremony time.) 1pm – Guys/Girls getting ready (MTM photographers split up to cover both at the same time) 3pm – Ceremony (Both MTM shooters work in tandem to capture your ceremony with artistic style!) 3:30pm – Family Formals and Wedding Party 4pm – Newlyweds (plan to capture the couple for 1 hr. Hopefully we will be shooting 1hr to 1.5hrs before the sunset!!!) Newlyweds often plan the cocktail hour for their guests while we shoot the newlywed images 5pm – Reception start. If you like, often we arrive a few minutes early to capture the reception site, do a cake cutting and first dance. That is how we recommend a wedding day unfolds. Again… you can add more or less time to your package to accommodate your needs! We also recommend to our wedding couples that the optimal time for scheduling the newlywed photo session (usually happening after the ceremony during the cocktail hour which entertains the other guests) is 1 to 1.5 hours before sunset, to get those magical lighting conditions that will take your breath away!!! examples seen here....enjoy!!!
