Congrats PickyBride2013 ! and welcome to the forum have you looked at the Mayan Riviera Barcelo options in Mexico? they have 5 resorts in 1, so lots to choose from, and the Palace Deluxe has a gorgeous pavillion with a 360 degree amazing view of the ocean and tropical vistas. Congrats kgentile! and welcome to the BDW forum community! yes, you're right about this being a wonderful resource for planning a destination wedding - with lots of info, suggestions + advice from everyone here There's a small boutique resort on the north shore of the DR which could be worth you checking out that would fit well within your budget, It's called "Vecinos" in Cabarete, and is a great place for an intimate group of 2 dozen people (in case some of your guests can't make it, and your number goes down). Great advice, Josie! and another example of what makes this forum such a valuable resource for wedding planning.......well done! I also concur, and we hear those same sentiments expressed by brides a lot........so when we say it's a good idea to spend the extra it takes for a professional photographer to record your Big Day - your once-in-a-lifetme EVENT.......it's nice to hear others agree.
