Thanks Caroline! I have asked Ana but yet no reply. I won't worry about it, if the weather is any like TX or FL it can change in a day anyway. I really appreciate you letting me know how long "the walk" takes, we don't have a bridal party so I might just wait before I turn the corner and have my brother edit the song a little. I will def. look into adding the videographer and maybe some more pics. I agree with you and Lisa, those are the memories that you will keep forever and we have so much family that couldn't make it that would love to see pics & video. Lisa, how exciting!! I will see you when we get there (Wed. around 11.30 am)! By then you will be a married woman Jessica, thanks! I will take a look at your pics now! Congrats by the way!

Thank you ladies! I feel a little better hearing about your experiences with the weather. The forecast has already changed to rain on Thurs & Fri now and I'm sure it will change again. It would nice to know what to expect if it does rain though. Our reception is planned for indoors, but the ceremony is supposed to be at the pergola. The things I am worried about are mostly not getting enough photos if we only go with what is included in the package (Eternity) and contemplating if I should add the videographer.... Oh, and how long does it take to walk down the aisle? More or less. The song I'm walking in to is very long and my brother will edit it for me so it won't go on forever (and I have to walk very slow or make an extra round hahaha). Thanks!!

Thanks Jessica! Looking forward to reading your review! Does anyone know what ceremony location they will use in case of rain? According to the weather forecasts it is supposed to rain from the day we get there until at least our full wedding day and I want to know what to expect if that actually happens. Shannon, what kind of prices does he have? Does he have a website? Thanks girls!!

Does anyone know how it works if you only use the resort photographer, like what pics does he take? I was told by Pilar that he will take pics at the ceremony and then of the family...but for how long? Since our wedding is small I didn't want to spend the extra money on an outside photographer, but I'm considering adding an hour of photography to our package and maybe even an hour of videography from the ceremony to make sure we get enough pics.

Where in Crete will you be staying Lisa? In what city/village? There are some really pretty and secluded beaches in the south. Easy to get to by car, we rented vespas when I was there and drove across the island. You should also do the walk through the canyon (forget the name) but I'm sure you will see tours for it when you get there. I had a little freak out moment today, started crying this morning because the wedding didn't turn out as I had hoped. I have been so busy so I think the disappointment finally hit me this morning. I'm sure it will pass and I will be excited again, it is just one of those days...

I finally got my dress last night!! I am having it altered right now, and will go for the fitting on Friday. Not a day too late since we leave in 2 weeks!! We only have 18 guests and I have kind of stopped my planning. It will just be a laid back, intimate family wedding and I feel good about that now. I emailed Ana yesterday and did get a reply a few hours later. She said all the vases that the bride (forgot the name) left there in Nov are gone or broken. Sucks! Anyway, I will figure that out. I wanted to have a welcome dinner but she said the only time we could do that is at 6PM and most of our guests arrive that same night (day before the wedding) but at 6.50PM. Sucks too! Haha! Excuse my French. We are not having a DJ since we are such a small group and will go with the eternity package for the same reason. To use the iPod equip. at the reception is $150 and she hasn't replied to if that is per night or hour. I wanted to add to our photo package but not sure how it works when you add that from the a la carte wedding stuff. Does anyone know? Do I just add an hour and get more pics?? Also wanted to add a videographer for the ceremony so that my family can show everyone back home that couldn't make it. I feel very confused and of course stressed, so any advice to ease my confusion would help! Thanks ladies!

That is great Erin! I look forward to meeting you! Thanks! I have actually found a couple of dresses, now I just have to make the big decision. Choosing between one in ivory and one in white. Since my FI is wearing beige linen pants and a white/off-white shirt I think maybe ivory might match him better....

Lisa, I have not!!! Well, I have decided to go the David's Bridal route since I don't have much time and did find a couple of dresses that I like. Will go there again this weekend and make a decision. Have to book my spa appointments. Does anyone know the prices? In case my mom and sis want their hair done. I will call Now Jade and Ana on Monday to make sure everything is set. So exited to meet you though and have a drink or two together at the pool! See you soon!

Erin, I am nervous, probably as ready as I was 6 months ago haha! We just moved to FL, I started a new job etc etc etc. I have not even bought my dress yet, but will try to this weekend. I am excited and as our wedding turned out to be a family affair not too worried about details. I am not bringing any stuff with me, but need to call Ana next week to make sure everything is set. When do you get there? You know we changed our date, right? I will be there from April 27 to May 4.

Nan & Bonnie, I am looking alright, just can't find anything with this short amount of time left :S I will have to go to David's Bridal again and give them another chance. We just moved to a different state so I don't know any other budget bridal stores close by, but I am looking for some. We moved for the 2nd time in a month and are still in temporary housing until we can sign for the apt we want, so A LOT going on besides the wedding.

Erin, we got the same run around about the free rooms from our TA. She also s*cked at customer service, told some of our guests she didn't have time to talk to them when they called and that she would call back in 6(!!!!) hours! She never told any of our guests about the price matching she promised she would do for us so in the end most of my FI's family ended up booking through a different agent for a better price and his dad (who got mad that she didn't answer/call him back on time) called the hotel directly and booked his room. I feel like we were not as important to her since we are not a huge group (approx 20ppl) and didn't book all the flights through her.....or maybe she is just not good at customer service...

Kim, Welcome!! I know exactly how you feel. I am Swedish (lived in Norway a couple of years) and live in the US. My family are all travelling from Sweden, and we found it easier and cheaper for them to book their flights themselves and the rooms through our TA. Now that we have only 1 month to go and ended up being a much smaller group than we anticipated I don't feel a TA was necessary. Parts of my FIs family booked directly with the hotel and got almost the same rate ($10-25 difference per night) as we did through our TA. She hasn't done anything that we couldn't have done ourselves, I do think this might be different if you are a really big group though. I think I would have appreciated a TA then. Oh, and we're married on paper too for the same reason, so I could stay here Same, same but different

Yes, I am def. going crazy!! So stressful, and my FI tells everyone that the only thing you have to do when you have a DW is to show up. HA!! That is all HE has to do! We have the same color scheme as you. Not really sure what I'm looking for, our wedding will be very laid back since we don't have that many guests. I'm just worried that the reception tables will look very empty if we don't have any decorations at all, like candles or something you know. I f I can use your chair sashes or the ones the other bride left there that would be awesome! We get there on the 27th.

Thanks Biehnbag!! Lisa (and other getting married in the end of April), what are you bringing down with you to the resort and what (if any) will you be leaving there? My wedding is getting real close and I still have gotten nothing done :S We just moved from TX to FL and I started a new job, we have to find an apt within the next to weeks and move, so lots of other things going on! To add to that stress out budget has been very tight and I won't get paid until the end of month...aaargh!! We have chosen the Eternity package since our wedding is pretty small (about 20 ppl) and I don't feel like we will need a lot of the extras. I still have to find a dress though!! Because of out small budget I will probably order a knock-off.... Sorry for the rant, starting to freak out a little and needed to vent....

Thanks girls! Bonnie, I know I'm running out of time and it is freaking me out, but I have not had money to buy anything earlier so not much I can do. Anyway, thinking about getting this dress http://www.ellabridals.com/dress-5487 Have been chatting a little with inweddingdress.com about having them make it, but not convinced since I'm not sure they have made it before. I have not tried on the original, so I don't know how it will fit me and again, running out of time....
-
This question might be stupid, but I need to know so I'm asking anyway Do you have to pay the full price up front when you order the dress at most of these vendors? We are struggling money wise right now, just changed jobs and moved states so I will have to wait to order if that is the case, and do a rush order. Thanks!
-
I would use it as my main dress. I have a tiny budget and my wedding is getting too close to go the bridal store route anyway. If it was my TTD dress I wouldn't care at all. Like you said, no one would be able to tell anyway. I don't have any extras to add and have (on purpose) not tried on the original so I really don't have too high expectations....I think.... I'm pretty sure I can be nice too I am very laid-back when it comes to my wedding. Probably as far from a bridezilla as you could get haha!

Congrats Tris!! That is exciting news!

Kara, there is a Wal-Mart or Target in Playa, so they should have some vases/flowers that you like. Not sure what a cab ride would be, guessing about $20. I am not bringing any decorations down there and I'd rather not have any decorations at all than paying what the resort is asking. I guess I will take a trip to Playa too
