Yeah, I was considering getting married on our anniversary but the prices are much higher then and some schools still have spring break so we decided not to.

It is so difficult. I feel like I would be able to relax some more if the wedding was earlier during the stay but at the same time it is easier for the American guests if it is on a Thursday. I have no idea what else I'll be doing as far as music and food, I just want to set the date and then I can start planning. My colors are blue/aqua, light green/sage & beige/latte, that I know because my FI liked those colors haha! What resort are you getting married at? Â

I guess I might be overthinking it. I'm very good at that I have narrowed it down to Wed or Thur that week, but need to make a decision today or I will drive myself crazy.

There are so many beautiful resorts in Mexico and this is the hardest decision (or at least it was for me). I decided to go with Now Jade Riviera Cancun after lots of research. I wrote down the things that were important to me like kids allowed, size of resort, time of transfer from the airport, no wristbands, price etc. and then I just started reading up on different resorts until I found the one I liked best. You can find a lot of information on this forum regarding resorts. Good luck!

 Thanks for confirming that for me Kara! I probably read that somewhere in my early research, but when my TA gave me May 8 as an option I figured they did Sunday weddings. I can't decide on the date, the dates I like during the week don't have later ceremony times and the other way around. I might just take a pen, close my eyes and see where it lands :S

Lots of our guests will be arriving on Saturday (leaving next Saturday) and I want to have enough time to relax with them after the wedding, so I'm not sure what to do. We have some guests that only will be able to come for a few days too. I was thinking 5.5.2011 and it is a Thursday. But then I only have 2 days after the wedding to really relax :S

I'm debating what weekday to choose and trying to make a decision today :S Guests from Europe will probably travel Saturday - Saturday while the US guests won't be able to take that much time off. I want to be able to relax and enjoy as much time as possible with our guests after the wedding (not having to stress about wedding stuff) and the resort don't do weddings on Sundays. Any suggestions?

Another question, what date will your guests be arriving and when will you guys get down there?

I am so torn, there are only a few times available and I need to make a decision. The times seem to be 3 pm, 4pm or 6.30pm (on different dates) Can't decide on what weekday to have it either, trying to make everyone happy wherever they are flying in from.

Has anyone else been told that they don't do weddings (not even symbolic ones) on Sundays? I was not aware of that since my TA told me May 8 was an option when I first started checking for dates, but when I spoke to Ana today she said they don't do any weddings on Sundays??! Â Hi Kristie!

Thanks for the advice. I might choose 6 pm then and take some of the photos before the ceremony to make sure.

I agree with you Mrs. Williams. My FI is already afraid about people getting bored (he has never been to a Swedish wedding obviously LOL) and I would like it to floe into one another. On the other hand I don't want to risk not having time for all the photos. I think if needed be we could take pics before the ceremony, I'm not that traditional and as long as his parents don't find out that we saw each other before the ceremony I think it is okay. Â Might go for a 6.00 pm ceremony then. Now to decide what day of the week LOL!

I am looking at that week since it is the only week that have reasonable flight prices from Sweden and room prices at the resort. What time is your ceremony? Â

How did you decide on your time? I know the sun sets around 7.10-7.20 pm in Mexico in May, but not sure how to know how much time we will need before that for the ceremony and photos. I want some photos in sunset and some in sunlight.... May is getting full at our resort so most of the dates we can only choose between 3 pm or 6-6.30 pm.

May 2011 brides, what time is your ceremony (Mexico weddings especially)? I'm trying to decide on our date and there are only certain times available on certain dates and not sure what time would be the best. Please advise!

The response time seems to vary a lot, I used to get a reply within a couple of days but for the last email I sent about a week ago I still haven't received any replies. I tried to call on last week but no one answered, so I will try again today probably. Trying to figure out the dates still. :S

I've done it twice this week, we're going out of town so not sure if there will be a third time. Yesterday it was all much easier and I thought about starting doing level 2 from now on. We'll see how that goes

That is the route I have decided to take as well, you can't please everybody unfortunately. I was trying to get good room prices and good flight prices from Europe at the same date and it is really hard, so I have decided to go with the good room prices and if I can't fit it in with the flights then so be it. Of course I am trying to do my best so it will be affordable for all, I wish I would have started planning much earlier :S

My WC at Now Jade is Ana Maria Cruz. I don't know if she was at Dreams before, she normally replies to me in a couple of days. I tried to call today but no one answered, I will try again later. Â My TA told me the opposite, that May is cheaper than April (for rooms only). The quotes I have gotten from her confirms this as well. But then again, I only got quotes for the Easter week, other weeks in April might be cheaper. Almost all of May is already booked, no weekends left. Â We're considering an earlier April date or even March now, but I want to call to find out what is available right away. I can't wait until I have a date!!! Â
