I am doing a site visit to Iberostar in May 2011 and I booked our trip though Orbitz.com and paid 800pp for 3 nights four days with airfare included.

Yes our wedding venue will serve as our honeymoon as well. We will be there for 7 nights 8 days. We do have the option to upgrade to the adult only sister resort but we have not really talked about that yet as we are trying to stick to our budget.

I believe that the people who truley love you and your FI will be at your wedding and will make it happen no matter what. For the people who choose to not make the effort to come then you see where they stand in your life.

Congrats!! I love Iberostar Rose Hall Suites as well! There is a board that has over 800 posts all about that resort you should take the time to read through it. There is alot of information on the resort and the coordinator which you will find helpful!! Good Luck planning and Congrats!!

Sparklers would be a nice added touch I had asked a Jamaican wedding coordinator and she said that was not available. But I am sure you can find them in Jamaica you would just have to see what the resorts policy is about allowing them?

That is awesome to know! Do the booklets include tourists attraction sites and possible excursions?

My cousin got married in St. Lucia in 2008 and it was the best wedding I have ever been too! It inspired me to want a destination wedding, the backdrop is amazing, you are surounded by your close family and friends having the time of your life and you save so much money! Having a wedding in the US is insane the minute the vendors hear its for a wedding their prices triple!

I have been looking at different photographers as well and sungold is another photo company that does a great job too. The prices are a little high but I heard they have different photographers that have cheaper rates. I believe they have a thread on here so you can see their work. I love the photo stories they put together with the music and timeline of the days events.

A lot of the people I've heard negativity from have only seen Jamaica from a cruise ship. This is so true the first person in my family who made a negative comment had only been to Jamaica on a Cruise stop. I am so over it and at this point my family is going to complain but they are going to come and there are going to have a blast! I was originally looking at having a private wedding using either tropical weddings or Jamaican wedding companies but now I am leaning towards a resort wedding due to cost. So far Iberostar Rose Hall Suites in Montego Bay has my attention but I have plenty of time we don't plan on getting married until July 2012. How about you?
