  1. Ditto to what Jess said. With 99% of us past brides having excellent over-the-top experiences and weddings at ACP/ASP I don't think you should worry too much about the one bad experience we all just read. It is very unfortunate but it seems to be that 1% of crazy and unexpected circumstances. For those of you heading down in the future just do what you can to make the best of it. Stay in contact with your WC and put your trust in them - they all do an excellent job. The rest of your stay is up to you and you and your guests can all have a wonderful time whether your at ACP/ASP or any of the other amazing Palace Resorts.
  2. I entered. Hope you will consider married couples. Got married there in Nov and can't wait to go back for our 1 yr anniversary!! LOVED IT!!!
  3. YAY ur back!! So glad you had a great time and you PARTIED it up!! Can't wait to see pics and read your review. =)
  4. I bought my sashes, napkins and runners from weddinglinensdirect.com - very cheap. About to sell them on here too.
  5. Hi ladies!! So I know this has nothing to do with Insanity but I wanted to fill you all in... It is finally all over. No more wedding stuff for me!! A majority of me is very relieved but there is that little piece that will miss all the planning and creative DIY projects. We chose the yacht that had a similar style (modern, all white, kinda elegant) but it was still nothing compared to the gorgeous yachts that sat on each side of my yacht that evening when we were docked. Everyone was asking "was that what you were supposed to get?" Mine would have been so close in size and style to those - 3 floors, all glass walls, white comfy couches, lots of room to lounge, high ceilings, etc. I felt so confined and smushed in that little yacht. None of us could raise our hands and David was close to hitting his head due to the ceilings being so low. But with all the complaining out of the way we all did have a great time. We did our entrance dance again and I got to participate this time...so fun!! Everyone loved the food, appetizers, cake, candy buffet and they upgraded us to premium bar (due to the issue) which a few people really appreciated. So it is done. I can now officially sell or throw away all the wedding stuff I have. Next job....finding a house and planning our 1 yr anniversary trip. So back to Insanity...I haven't done it in weeks but once I actually start working out again I will try to stick to 1-2 DVDs a week to supplement my workout routine. Anyone see the new vegan strawberry shakeology? I think I might try it. Will report back. Can't wait to hear from Bride2012!! Hope she had a blast!!
  6. Thanks sweety. They are trying to offer what is available but neither of them can compare. Our original one was three floors, glass windows all around and spiral staircases. They are trying to offer one that looks like a river boat that belongs in the 1800s and the other is so small, short ceilings, feels very claustrophobic and does not have the elegant style we wanted. We are going to view both today but I don't see how this could end up being ok. We are going to get as much money and added perks as we can. How can you do this to a bride a few days before her wedding??? There were 4 other brides that were having their real wedding this weekend on that yacht and I can't imagine how they feel. But we will still have the reception some way some how and we will make the best of it with all the people who are coming to celebrate with us.
  7. HI ladies!! I am not doing so good with the working out but I am at a point where I don't care LOL. Reception is this Saturday and I am getting airbrushed tonight so the workouts are pretty much over at this point. The reception seemed to be happening without any issues and everything was taken care of and then... I get a call yesterday from the yacht company hosting our reception and was told the yacht I picked will not be available for our reception. The coast guard decided to take her out last week, punched holes in her hull and decided to test some things. They will not be bringing her back in time for my reception. I was told they did it without warning and her scheduled maintenance wasn't until Aug 2013. WTF!! 4 days before my "wedding" you're telling me this. That was unbelievable!! And of course the two yachts that are very similar to our original one are already booked so we are left with only two options that are not even comparable. We are going down there today to take a look but I've seen both before and I am very unhappy with both of them. They can't even come close in size or style to the beautiful yacht I had picked. And I just feel everything is not going to go as planned. We won't have room to do our dance performance and very little to no room for the projector and playing our wedding video. We will have to figure out where the cake, candy buffet and DJ will be setup now and how we are going to setup the tables so it's not too crowded. So that is what I am dealing with and all I want to do is sit on the couch and eat brownies and pizza all day but that isn't going to help LMAO!! But who cares about me. Bride2012 how are you doing? Leaving tomorrow!! Woohoo. I remember how excited and anxious I was. You are going to have such a great time and you look absolutely amazing. Go strut your stuff!!
  8. Thank you ladies!! Kary - here is the chapstick template. Not sure why I didn't upload it originally. As stated, I used avery 5163 shipping labels to print these on and then trimmed them. _Taryns-Chapstick Template2.doc
  9. Hi ladies!! I know how you feel Jamie. I tell myself one thing and end up doing something different. I Think - "Eat healthy, workout daily, less than 2 weeks left, I CAN DO THIS!!" I Do - "Ate horrible last few days, didn't work out yesterday, think to myself the dress will cover everything - it's not like I need to wear a bikini like last time LOL, and just say F it - I already put in the hard work for the wedding vacation" Then I wake up the next day mad at myself for doing what I did and tell myself back at it again today - then the next day comes along and I do the same thing as before. What a vicious cycle LMAO!! So unfortunately I am not very motivating to others right now.... But I can tell you all to stick with it and know that each day you do push play gets you one step closer to your goal and that awesome bikini body!!!

  11. Your whole wedding looks beautiful!! Love the color combo.
  12. Bride2012 you look awesome and I love VS bikinis....great choice!! For those of you who have gained weight also keep in mind that when you workout and you use your muscles they get full of liquid, water, lactic acid, etc. (taken from a website) When you start doing more exercise, your body begins storing more fuel in your muscle cells, where it can be used easily and quickly to fuel your workouts. The process of converting glucose (carbohydrates) into fuel that your muscles actually store and use (glycogen) requires three molecules of water for every molecule of glucose. As your muscles are building up glycogen stores, your body has to retain extra water for this purpose. That's what causes most of the initial weight gain or lack of weight loss. This is a good thing—not something to worry about. However, despite what the scale says, you are actually losing fat during this time. The extra water retention will stop once your body has adjusted to its new activity level. At that point, the scale should start moving down. You'll end up with less fat, and muscles that can handle a larger amount of work. For me its especially my legs that do this. When I train legs they swell up so bad for a few days. Pants and jeans are always tighter in the thigh area during that time which sucks but I know what it is and I am back to normal in a few days. And then I do it all over again LOL. So don't get discouraged if your not seeing the scale move. Just stop weighing yourself altogether because it's not like a certain number on the scale will mean you look hot in your dress/bikini. What matters is the measuring tape and what you see in the mirror. That is what will show you progress. Keep at it ladies!!!
  13. Just like Jessica said they will sub out the flowers for something else. I had them make two smaller bouquets for my BMs. Here are the photos!!
  14. Great job ladies!! Cardio Recovery is such a nice mix up from the normal stuff. Ana - you will see and feel results in 2 weeks. 4 weeks will be perfect. U'll be one month in and have a good idea of how your body is changing. Hope the dress fitting goes well. Keep it up!!
  15. Great job Jamie!! Posting your numbers is a great way to show others that so many changes can me made in just 2 short weeks. Awesome job on the push-ups. That has to be one of the biggest improvements!! WOOHOO!!! (looks like suicides - down-back-up-jump-down-back-up-jump LOL)
  16. Thanks hun!! I actually do feel fine and I think that is the reason I'm slacking a bit. The results of Insanity sure do stick around a while just like kellygrrrl said which is why I find myself often saying "its ok if I don't workout today...I'll do it tomorrow" way too often LOL!! How are you doing Jamie?? How was your second fit test? Improvement right??
  17. Thanks hun!! I've been doing weights, cycle, sprints and some other stuff but I never feel as good as I do after I do Insanity. So I hope to keep it part of my weekly routine moving forward. I just need to be more consistent ever week with whatever physical activity I decide to do. Consistency is key and that is why I feel I've been slacking off. Thanks for posting your experience.
  18. Wow!! All you ladies seem so motivated and energized!! I LOVE IT!!! To update you new ladies...my wedding is about 2 months past but my AHR is in a few weeks. I finished Insanity before the wedding and felt amazing so I was planing on doing Insanity again to get me back to where I was....but I just haven't been as motivated. Its kinda easier knowing I no longer have to walk around in a bikini in front of friends and family LOL. The dress covers everything pretty much. But I am still being active...just not as active as I had hoped. I skip every day or two so I really need to kick it up a notch. So even though I've been there and done that and motivated others in the past....you guys are now motivating me. I love this board so much!! Probably doing Pure Cardio and Cardio Abs tonight!!! Keep up all the hard work ladies!! The results will start to show after 1-2 weeks. Its awesome!!!
  19. Amazing results!!! What an accomplishment. You must be so proud of yourself.
  20. Yes it is officially Hard Rock as of Jan 2012. I haven't heard much since the official announcement and the vacation share presentation we went to while we were on our honeymoon. I believe they will start making changes this year. I really hope all the future brides are not affected much, if at all. It is such a beautiful place and I hope it doesn't lose its charm.
  21. I was lucky enough to have a bridesmaid who is a professional makeup artist and she did my make-up and the eyes on all the girls. We all looked beautiful. The spa can do your makeup and hair at the salon if you want them too.
  22. Right here!! Same as you - lacto-ovo. I didn't follow the meal plan exactly. I eat pretty healthy all the time so I just stuck with my normal meals. In the back of the booklet I believe it shows you what you can substitute in for things you may not like or eat. For the protein I believe it listed tofu and beans as options for us veggies. That is pretty much what I eat all the time anyways which is why it wasn't much different for me. I would also recommend lots of extra protein supplement. If you do take Shakeology it does not have enough protein so I would definitely add some in or make sure you take 1-2 shakes a day. If you do soy I'd recommend adding in soy milk to the shake since it has more protein as well. I am not a nutritionist by any means but I've been a veggie pretty much all my life and I've always been very active so I know how important protein is. Hope this helps a little!!
