  1. OMG these are absolutely amazing. These are exactly what I want...color, map, stamps. So darn cute!!! Great job!!
  2. These look awesome. I really want to try to DIY for the boarding pass invites but I think I might start and then get frustrated and stop mid way. Thankfully I have a very creative mother and sister who make custom greeting cards so I will definitley be looking to them for some help on these. I really think I could save money and if I get a result like the one posted here I would be really happy with it.
  3. I looooooove these. As soon as I first saw the boarding pass invitations I fell in love with them and I knew I would use them. I have found a few websites and a DIY site but I'll probably end up just buying them so they look amazing like this. Thanks for sharing...even if it was 2 yrs ago. =)
  4. I am 4 yrs older than my FI....25 and 29
  5. Thanks for all the support and wishes but I guess no one saw my last post. IM ENGAGED!!!! =) Â
  6. YAY IM ENGAGED!!!!! Â He proposed last night. He always told me it would be some random day so that I would never expect it. I am so happy and excited...I think I've been glowing and floating all day. Now I can actually plan the wedding without feeling crazy haha. Â Thanks for all the wishes that I would get it soon...it helped!! Â BTW...I found out he has had it since we first went to Robbins Bros back in May. He told me he had the perfect hiding spot for it and I would never find it. Sure enough he had cut a hole in the box spring under the bed and hid it there. Ive been sleeping on it for 3 months and never knew it. Haha!!
  7. Yea I was wondering the same thing. Actually I was wondering if brides do TTD and then are able to wear it again. Which I guess defeats the point of "trashing" it. But I want those pics from our wedding location but I also want to wear the dress at the AHR. Is that possible? I have no clue how well a wedding dress holds up or how you could get it cleaned so I am asking for some feedback.
  8. OMG these were great. Love them...and I would definitely use them if that was my issue. TheFutureWagners - I have only been to Cancun once with 9 people and we all had a great time. When you are in/on the resort you are in paradise. Anyone can walk out and go visit the downtown area and get the "partying" atmosphere but that has nothing to do with the resort. You could stay at the resort for a week and feel like you are on your own little island and have everything at your finger tips. Don't worry about the ppl giving you a hard time. Cancun is know for having a downtown area to party in but that does not make it trashy. You will have a great time and the resort will be amazing. As msglave said....tell them to shut the hell up!!!
  9. I am thinking of doing the same thing. Wedding at one and then a honeymoon at another. Do they consider it all one stay or did you have to pay extra to do this?
  10. Great article...bookmarked!! Love the idea of personally handing out the OOT bags to everyone when they arrive. Sometimes its the little things that make the most memorable moments. =)
  11. From the album: T & D

  12. Thank you!! I believe he will do it when he feels its right and when I least expect it. (re-posting....not sure what happened the first time)
  13. Thank you!! I know that is how it will be for me too. I know he will catch me off guard and it will be when he is ready.
  14. Hi CG. I think you have nothing to worry about. The main reason I am going to have a destination wedding is because my most memorable vacations are the ones with a close group of friends on some tropical island. You will have the time of your life. And as someone else mentioned...it will be a lot less planning and you will probably be able to do a lot more with everyone in the group. ENJOY!!!

I plan on giving everyone at least a whole year to save and plan for our wedding so it is definitley at least 15 months so far if it were to happen this month.
  16. Thanks girls!! I feel so welcomed here. The waiting is hard. Just this morning I found the paper from Robbins Bros that came with the credit card they gave him. I don't know why it was sitting out. He is either completely oblivious or wants me to get even more excited. Just last night he told me I have no idea when he is gonna do it. I kept going back and forth with him saying "are you sure I will have absolutely no clue" and he said yup. So I take it that it won't be on any special day (18th, Xmas, holiday, etc) cause that is when I would think he would do it. Anyways...thanks for welcoming me aboard!!
  17. Name: Taryn Date: not set yet Destination: somewhere in the Caribbean Well...I'm not officially engaged yet so I am jumping the gun a bit. I have picked out my ring so now its up to him to put it on my finger. I like to be organized and I want things figured out so that I am ready to go when he does finally ask. I have been searching around and looking at resorts, venues and decorations. Came across this board and just by the couple of posts I read while waiting for my account to be validated I can tell this is a very friendly and helpful board. So glad I found you all!!
