Question: Â How did you guys decide which resort to have the wedding at? I heard you have to choose the wedding and reception location about 60 day prior so how do you decide which resort to put on your STDs, invites, website, etc.

Hello ladies. I have to admit that I only started about 10 pages back. I started reading from page 1 but realized some things may have changed in the past 2 yrs so I wanted some fresh info. Â Questions: Â - Has anyone brought in an outside photographer? The photographer I want to use has only been there once and she said they "made an exception" for her that day. What is the latest policy? I plan on buying the day pass and treating them as guests. Why should they have a problem with that. Â - How long did it take for [email protected] to respond to your first inquiry? Im anxious to make sure we get the date we have picked. I plan on picking up the phone and calling but I wanted to hear your feedback first. Â - I am still a NOOB so I cant see the attachments with the spa prices. How much is it for just hair? One of my BMs is a prof make-up artist so I only need my hair done. Â - Did anyone who had their wedding on the SPA side have to tell any guests that they were not allowed to bring their children? If so, how was that received? I like the fact this resort has an adults only and family option so our guest can do as they wish. But if I like the gazebo on the SPA side a lot better than I want to be able to pick that and not get crap from anyone. Â Thanks in advance for answering. You girls are all so great. Â I will be reading backwards thru this thread but I was hoping to get these questions answered now. I have 450 days until my wedding so plenty of time LMAO!!!

Haha that was totally me. I had so much I couldn't wait to talk to him about. So I waited a few days them bombarded him with everything - resort, honeymoon, wedding packages, photogs, invites, decorations, etc. Poor guy!! Â

Good to hear. That will help so much. A lot less stuff to transport down there. I'll just give the centerpieces and other stuff away as gifts if I dont want to lug them home. =) I love this board....so much helpful info on here. Â

Hey one of BM just had a brilliant idea. I guess there is a Walmart in Cancun. I am totally going shopping when I get there for table decorations and gifts. PERFECT!!! Wonder if they do "site-to-store" there.

This sounds exactly like me. Everyday I was wondering when it would be and now that I'm engaged its all about the wedding now....morning, noon and night. Am I obsessed?? Â

I plan on having an extra suitcase full of gifts and decorations and I'll probably send it with my MOH or another BM. They don' t need to bring as much stuff as me....a bathing suit and an outfit for the wedding is all they need LOL!!!

Did you have a soloist or was it a CD/iPod playing for your songs? I know the soloist is usually an extra charge so I am wondering what most people did for the music during the ceremony. Â

Wow are you serious? I can't believe that. I thought they would decorate them with the color theme you picked. So I assume no table decorations as well unless you pay for them. Looks like I'll be bringing lots of stuff with me then. What are you choosing for centerpieces? Â

I am still waiting to hear back as well. I sent a request thru the website and I sent an email to the email address today. I want to make sure I can secure my date and get things rolling. I want to start working on my STDs and Invites but I need to make sure its official. Maybe I'll call them tomorrow to see what they say.

I am so glad I ran across this thread. I have decided on Palace Resorts for my wedding and honeymoon. I am sold on doing the wedding at ASP or ACP (since we might have guests with children there). I wasn't sure if the wedding collections meant you had to pick those colors or if you had the option to change them. I was planning on using the diamond collection and adding in my own turquise color here and there. Have any of you looked at the photos under optional services? The first three photos are a of a turquoise colored table. That is the exact color I want. So I am confused as to how the packages work. Â Now that a majority of you are stating you are choosing the complimentary package I am really considering doing the same. There are some things I dont care too much about having but some do seem important but it looks like I could add those in if necessary. Does anyone know what the tables look like or how they are/aren't decorated for the dinner reception if using the complimentary package? Â Wow this really got me thinking and now I might be totally on board with you all. It would definitley save some money that could be put towards a photographer, TTD, longer stay, more goodies in the OOT bags, etc.
