    WELCOME!!! Â I got engaged on 8/11/10 =) Â I was the same exact way...I didn't care where it was as long as it was in the Caribbean and had that beautiful turquoise water behind me. Â I decided on a Palace Resort. Check them out...they have 4 resorts in Cancun I believe and many others in the area. You can use the facilities at any of the resorts which is a nice option. They also have a great promo with vacation dollars right now. Â Good Luck!! Â

    Check out the Palace Resorts. They are all over Mexico. You pay at one and get to play at all. And they are having a great promo regarding vacation dollars. Check them out!!

    Welcome!! You will find so much great info from this site. It took me a while to decide too but I narrowed it down and had FI choose the resort he liked the best. Worked out great.

    I plan on having my friends and family carry stuff down. Since I need more room for my clothes and accessories I'll just hand off the extra to others. My girls only need a bathing suit and a dress for the wedding so why not haha!!!

    How exciting. I can't wait until its this time next year and I am just as excited as you. Â Good idea with the Walmart. I plan on going to there to get the little extras once I get there so I don't have to transport too much. Â I can't wait for the day of the wedding to have spa treatments with my girls as well. That has got to be such a great feeling. Â Gosh I am so excited for u and u got me all excited for myself....and I have over 400 days to go LOL!!! Â Can't wait to see pics and read your review. Â Â

    Love this post. It makes you just sit back for a moment and remember why we are all doing this. I am so far away from my wedding so no stress has really hit me yet but I need to remember this when things start getting hectic and I feel overwhelmed. Â Happy Friday to you all!!! Â

    Thanks ladies!! Â I am planning on just buying the day pass for them and saying they are just guests if I am asked (they just happen to have a few cameras and some amazing abilities lol) . Â If they ask about not using their photographer I'll say my mom is doing it. She really is a photographer and I know she'll be out there taking a tons of pics anyways haha.

    And 1 more question...  Does it matter which resort you sign the contract for? Spa vs Cove  When do you actually have to pick the wedding and reception site? I have seen a lot of pictures of the gazebos and reception areas but I am not sure if that is all of them. Am I obligated to stick to one side if that is the side I am signing the contract for??  Thanks!!

    For those of you bringing in a photographer... Â Are you letting them know? Â If not, don't they ask why you are not using their photographer? What do you say? Â It seems like this is common but right on the contract is states no outside vendors. I just want to make sure it ends up working out. Â Â Also, thank you to those who posted about La Luna. I fell in love with del Sol but could not afford them. When I looked at La Luna I felt it was the same type of style I was looking for. Â
