I definitely want to go the tropical route. My bouquet will be bright tropical flowers while the bridesmaids will be white roses/cala lilies.

Same style here.....boarding pass STDs, passport invites and postcard thank you cards. Our wedding is Nov 18th 2011 and I just sent out my STDs exactly 1 year in advance. Invites will be sent out in May which will give people 6 months to plan, save and schedule time off work. The RSVP date will be the end of August which will give me almost 3 months to finalize everything. Since a majority of things, such as OOT bags, number of tables, linens and napkins needed, number of favors, number of centerpieces needed and much more, depends on the number of ppl coming I want to make sure I know plenty of time in advance how many are coming.

Well girls I hit the one year mark TODAY!! I can't wait for this next year to fly by. I have my DIY boarding pass STDs done and I am sending them out today. I am so happy with what they look like. I will post them in the STD section. WOOHOO 1 YEAR TO GO!!!

Bride KSmith that is an amazing dress. I think it will look beautiful on you...especially with gorgeous Cancun in the background. Do not worry at all. I am going to get a dress I would wear no matter where the venue was (beach, church, clifftop, private estate, etc.) This is your special day and you will have these pictures for the rest of your life so make sure you get what you want and will love looking at yourself in....not what fits the location or time of year. Who cares about that!!! LOL

Thanks Nicole. Off topic...Wilma just contacted me and introduced herself as my wedding planner...YAY!!!!! Oh and I tried on dresses this weekend. That was such a fun and exciting experience. My main goal was to figure out what style looked and felt the best on me and it was a very successful day. Now I know exactly what to look for over the next several months.

Sounds very pretty and elegant. I will have turquoise sashes on the chairs and I wanted to use their beige aisle runner but was told you have to rent it. Really?? Why does every little thing gotta cost something?? Ugh!! But I am really starting to like the tile in the gazebo just the way it is. I was thinking of maybe having some vases filled with sea glass or turquoise rocks and some fake flowers along a few of the chairs just to line the aisle a bit. If I do something like that then I'll have them become the table decorations for the reception. It all sounds great in my head but actually making it happen and getting it all down there is a whole different story.

Nicole - I love how you stuck with the simple and elegant look. I am trying to think of decorations for the aisle but it looks so beautiful that I don't even think they are needed. Quick question: Does the Coba gazebo have a red roof now? I thought it was straw.

I love this!!! Where did u get the vase from? My colors are turquoise and silver so that vase would go along perfect.

Love the idea of the blue orchids in the water. My plan is definitley to have flowers submerged in water. My main color is turquoise and I have seen white flowers in turquoise water before but if I can't get that to work I think the blue orchids in clear water would look great.
