While you were in the lobby was there a place for someone to plug in any electronics? I was trying to look at your photos to see but I couldn't tell. I was thinking of having some music while my guests are in the lobby hanging out during the "cocktail hour". Just wanted to know if that was possible. Thanks for answering all my questions. I'm kinda in the same situation. Just recently my dad has decided to no longer be a part of my life. I love my last name and everyone knows I am Italian because of it but since he has chosen to walk out of my life I have decided I can part with it. My mother and father are no longer married and she changed her last name to her mother's maiden name. So I really don't mind taking on a new one. It is unique but most will have a hard time pronouncing it. It's just gonna be difficult changing the signature.

I have always had a secret stash long before wedding planning. It is usually my vacation money each year...love it. We are doing the same as others - paying equal portions into an account every month and we will have enough for the wedding before it even happens. We wrote out the budget and even though I modify it slightly from time to time we will have plenty beforehand so we will not go into debt since we are paying for it all ourselves. Since my wedding next year will also be my vacation for that year I will be using my stash for any of the extras I need for the wedding as well as spending money for when we are down there. Great thread!!

Hi Ladies!! I know everyone is busy running around for the holidays but I just wanted to send you all a little hello and see how things are going. I still have some shopping to do. So besides the resort I have the second most major thing checked off my list - PHOTOGRAPHER. I already decided on La Luna a long time ago but I finally signed the contract and made it official. Feels so good. That was the only thing I really needed to do for the next few months. I'm gonna start working on my passport invites in the next few weeks since work will be a little slow. Besides that I don't have much to do for a while. How is everyone else doing?? How are the new Mrs. doing??

I love the bright orange color. Sine my color is turquoise and they only have royal blue...do u girls think it will be ok to get a bright color like orange even thought it doesn't go with the wedding colors??

I would love to bring my own iPod and dock to save about $400 but I am concerned it wouldn't be loud enough for my private function outside. Thoughts?? So this was not a private cocktail hour, correct? Did all your guests stay together? We are considering this instead of paying for a cocktail hour so I just want to hear if there were any issues. Was it far for them to walk to? Did they all go to the reception at the right time? Thanks!!
