  1. You girls are all getting the wrong idea and you are asking men for the answers. Not a good idea. Trust me you will not get "bulky" by lifting heavier. When you ask a man that question he is picturing benching 300 lbs or squatting 200 lbs. That is not what you will be doing. Put down the pink dumbbells and lift some heavier weight and sculpt the body you want. Doing 5-10 lbs for 15-20 reps WILL NOT get you the body you all are trying to achieve. Trust me!!

  3. Thanks for reporting back. I am so glad you are happy with the quality. I bought $100 worth so I plan to do my wedding album as well as the wedding guestbook. Now I just need to take engagement pics to put in there haha.
  4. I love the Mori Lee dress. I have tried on a few Mori Lee's already and I just might have to try this one on hehe. You look great in it.
  5. For the weights I would suggest heavier weight with less reps. It will help sculpt the body u want. Nothing more than 10....12 at the max for some exercises. Lift heavier - you will be surprised at how heavy you can actually lift.

  7. The classes are good but usually the trainers do not walk around to make sure ppl are using proper form. It makes me cringe when I see ppl throwing weight around like that without really understanding what they are doing. But if you understand how to do the exercise properly I would agree that the classes are great weight training and cardio session all packed into one. I also like the 24hr circuit that they have. They are machines so you don't have to worry too much about form since you are in a fixed range of motion. It is quick and simple since it takes the guesswork out of "what exercise should I do next".
  8. Just bought 2 groupons - $100 worth for only $30. AWESOME!!! Now I need to actually take some engagement pics so I can make my guestbook. I will be using the groupons to make my wedding album as well. This won't be for a while so if anyone gets their book report back on the quality and all that fun stuff.
  9. Hey Tenny! Well I will tell you what any other trainer would tell you - weight train!! Most ppl only want to do cardio but that wont give you the physique you want. Lifting weights will help sculpt the body - it WILL NOT make you look like a man (which so many women fear). I would definitley suggest a full body weight training routine to start with. Have you done any type of weight training previously? Do you have someone around you who can show you proper form?
  10. Hello girls!! Since this was on the front page I decided to join in with you lovely ladies and start the process. I know checking in with you will help keep me on track and keep me motivated. Background: Fitness freak, previous Fitness/Figure competitor, soccer player and fitness trainer in training!! Current status: Just had surgery on both my feet so I am not allowed to do anything right now. I should be starting physical therapy next week and I'll progress from there. Goal: I am just going to be striving for a physical change that most others won't see. More defined arms, tighter legs and butt and just overall leanness/tightness. Weight doesn't mean anything to me. Since I have competed before I've been thru it all and I know how my body works and what it looks like at its top physical condition but I know it was unhealthy and unrealistic. So in order to get to where I want I would guess it might be 10 lbs or it could be 0 and I'll still be ok with it. Usual activities: Hot yoga, indoor cycle, weight training and running. If I do cardio in the gym its the moving stairs, rowing machine or bike. Eating: I am a vegetarian who tries to eat raw and organic as much as possible but I still eat a lot of not so healthy cooked/baked food. My weakness is sweets - cookies and brownies the most. I try to brush my teeth right after I eat so I no longer crave something sweet. It has helped but I still pig out on occasion. My wedding isn't until mid-November so most of you girls might be long gone by then but I know it will be great to have you along the way for support and check-ins.   11. No, I am not going thru that.....YET!! Who knows how I will be in about 6 more months. What details are there that you need to work on? Are they things you can just let go until you are down there? I know I would want to have everything figured out and done but I need to remind myself that it cannot happen until I am actually down there. Do you have any time to get a good workout, yoga session, massage, facial or other relaxing/de-stressing activity in? Maybe if you do something to relax it won't seen as crazy and you will be more in-tune with yourself. I really don't know what to say...just throwing things out there.

  15. Thanks Shalanda. It is always good to be reminded of all these things that everyone has said. As I probably mentioned a long time ago my dad and that whole side of the family won't be attending either. So we are really hoping that the few ppl we did invite can make it and share in our special day. I know none of this will matter once we are down there but getting to that point is the hard part. Thanks everyone for all your comments and suggestions. I just gotta let it go an focus on the good fun stuff....like finding a dress, buying my bouquet and creating the centerpieces!!
  16. I only wanted a few ppl 20-30 and I only cared about family and the bridal party. But when its your supposedly best friend and another close friend (both bridal party) who you have always bent over backwards for and would go to the ends of the earth for and you realize they won't do it for u....it is a huge disappointment. It's the ones I really cared about being there so it really sucks. I know it will be great once we are down there with those who chose to make it but dealing with all this crap along the way isn't so much fun.
