  1. So I finally got my passport invites done and in the mail today!! What a relief!! Here they are. Thank you to all the other brides who helped and provided info, suggestions and templates. You are the reason I have these done. I purchased the Alyee Bit template ( http://www.ayleebits.com/2009/03/09/passport-invitation-template/ ) for $10 because I liked having the stamp images in the background. I purchased the cover paper and envelopes from paperandmore. The paper for the inside pages was stolen from FI's work so I don't know what they were but they were a little heavier than normal printer paper. The RSVP postcards were free from vistaprint and I just printed the addresses on clear address labels to make my life a lot easier haha. I manually created the stamps on the first page and I used the stamp template that is floating around this site for the ones on the last page. I had a big issue with printing and trying to get the lines on both sides of the paper to line up correctly so my solution was to make the box slightly smaller and only print lines on one side. That worked wonderfully. I really hope my guests like them.
  2. So did I. Kelly was great to work with and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend watermenot.com for those still looking.
  3. Wow lucky you. Only 6 months of planning and 60+ guests. You are a very lucky woman. Congrats and Good Luck with your planning.
  4. JESSICA!!!! I can't believe you leave in 5 days. How exciting. I am so happy for you. I've told you many times before but I have to tell you again....your guests are going to love everything you have done/made for them. You did a great job!! So any advice to other brides on what to think of, what to do or what not to forget to bring/do/buy a few days before leaving?? Or are you still figuring that out?? LOL
  5. Wow!! I had the same thing happen. I had a very close friend of 7yrs who was my bridesmaid back out by sending me a text message while I was home recovering from surgery. We work together and when I returned to work she never spoke to me. She walks by and puts her head down, doesn't say anything, doesn't acknowledge me. So so strange. I truly feel that it was easier for her to cut me off as a friend than to have to deal with her A-hole husband (who I can't stand) when it came to my wedding. I feel good knowing I left it completely up to her but it is very sad. You really see people's true colors going through something like this. JJ512 - Like the others say....you should sit down and have a heart to heart with them and be honest. You should know who is going to stand by your side on the most important day of your life.
  6. Not yet. I bought the groupon deal so I have to wait until I actually have pictures to put in it.
  7. Here are some pics of what I've done so far. Much sparklier in person. (I was only half done with my pair on the right)
  8. BEAUTIFUL!!! Absolutely stunning and perfect for destination as you said.
  9. I think you will be fine. MODERATION!! You can enjoy all the good things just don't go overboard....until after the wedding LOL. Also stay active those first few days if you can. Walk, run, gym, yoga, cycle, swim, etc. I doubt you will have any issue. Have a great time!!
  10. I am with you on that. I keep going back and forth debating whether or not its worth it.
  11. Great choice Sharon!! From the looks of it it looks light and flowy like my dress. It's shouldn't be a problem at all. I was doing the exact same thing you did and compared every dress to the dress I ended up buying. I wanted to change them to be more like my dress and then the lady gave me a reality check and said "If you're trying to modify every dress so it looks like that one, why not get that one?" DUH!! LOL So I finally went with it and I'm very happy. Look - our dresses are so similar!! Such a good choice hehe
  12. Hey ladies!! I am back on it. Started it Saturday morning and totally strained some muscles in my back so I had to rest Sunday but was back at it yesterday...even though they back is still sore. Looking forward to actually completing it this time. Good Luck to you all. DIG DEEPER!!!!
  13. These look really good!! You're guests are gonna love them. I need to go see if I can find those bags. Super cute and super cheap. =)
  14. I'm just guessing here but I would think the restaurants at your resort would have some. I would ask your wedding coordinator if that is doable. Or maybe just run down to the local market and buy some when you get there. =)
  15. Very pretty. Its what I wanted but I can't do candles outside.
  16. They are both gorgeous but the second one is similar to mine so I'm picking #2 LOL! Is there any way to find #1 at another store in a smaller size to get a better idea?
  17. Gosh we all have such beautiful dresses!! Gets me so excited...I wish my wedding was sooner. tic toc tic toc....
  18. Alisa - I am so happy to hear you are feeling better. Gosh you must be so excited!! I know you will have a wonderful time and remember to enjoy every minute of it. I know you have a lot of guests coming so remember to take some time for you and your fiance (soon to be hubby) and enjoy each other. I've read lots of reviews where past brides say they were so worried about every one else that they forgot to enjoy themselves. Relax and have a blast!!!
  19. Thanks!! With that out of the way and the invites done by next week I really don't have anything major to work on. I am bedazzling flip flops and wristlets for my BMs but that's really all I am working on for the next few months. Ahhhhhh a bit of a relief!!
  20. Well ladies....I can finally post in here!! I have been looking for about the last 6 months but with no rush. I wanted to order by May and sure enough I ordered it May 31st lol. MORI LEE #2505 This is one of the first dresses I tried on and loved it but I kept looking in case I was missing out on something. Sure enough I kept coming back to it every time and I have tried it on about 5 times already. The designers picture's do not do it justice in my opinion. The color they picked looks dull and boring. But in person its BEAUTIFUL!! It has so much detail at the top, down the corset (which I love) and a few more specks here and there and just floooows when I walk. I got a great deal on it and I really really LOVE IT!!! And here is a close up of the detail on the corset and it's in white which is what I ordered. (pic from another bride) And now I wait 3-4 months....
  21. Well its one of those dresses that looks amazing when its on but for some reason the designer's picture of it doesn't do it much justice in my opinion. Its Mori Lee #2505 in white. I guess they photographed it in ivory or something but it doesn't look like this in person. =) It has so much detail on the top, down the corset and a little bit in the front and a little running down the back. It's one of the first dresses I tried on and I kept looking to make sure I wasn't missing out on anything else but I kept coming back to this. When I walk it just flooooows. I LOVE IT!!! Here is a close up of the back from another bride.
  22. That's awesome!! You both with have an amazing time. Off topic....I bought my dress yesterday. Made it official...woohoo!! One more thing checked off my list.
  23. Great thread of course!! When do you leave? I am so excited for you!!!
