  1. Good Luck!! I was just thinking about this thread and how no one has posted anything in a while. How is everyone else doing? I can't wait to get to month 2. I started the workouts over a few times already. I currently do one every other day or so (doctor's orders for now). But I plan to do the full 60 days straight as soon as I get back from my work trip next week. I really can't wait to follow the program properly (sucks not being at 100%). Keep up the hard work ladies!!
  2. Isn't it great?? She just got married at the same resort I am so its even better for me. I'm taking the whole thing word for word almost. What a time saver. I've thanked her so many times already.
  3. Great job on the weight loss so far!! Just don't get stuck on a particular number. Its a good goal but don't get too focused on it because 8 or 10 might do the trick - especially if you are gaining muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat so if you lost more weight you might be losing the hard earned muscle you just gained. And as you know muscle burns more cals so you'd want to hold on to that. Keep up the good work and its always great to hear other woman succeeding!!
  4. YAY you found us LOL!! Well don't stress out. Even tough there is a lot to do it all comes together rather quickly. You are very lucky to have so many guests booked without sending out invitations. We are begging our guests - especially our bridal party - but they are such lazy procrastinators. I would definitely start with the invitations. Get those done and out of the way because the rest is pretty easy. Has Yesenia sent you the booklets with all the locations, decorations, menus, etc.? Most of us have a wedding coordinator already even though they say you won't get one until later. Once you start asking Yesenia questions she can't answer she refers you to your wedding coordinator. So I would take a look at those things and try to narrow down were you want the ceremony, the cocktail hour, reception and all that fun stuff. I know it will take days to do this but you really really should read thru this entire thread. There are so many questions answered, pictures of locations, pictures from past brides weddings, reviews and so much more. Keep asking questions and we will all help you out. There are some checklists floating around this board as well and they are very helpful. I didn't attach it because you probably can't open it until 150 posts. So anything else figured out? BM dresses? Groom's attire? Private reception or just dinner at one of the restaurants? Centerpieces? Flowers? I bet you have some things you know you do want or you know you don't want. That's a good place to start.
  5. Since we can't ship anything down early we will have to pack it all in the suitcases and carry it with us. That is why I don't think I'll be doing those mugs from the Dollar Tree either because they will take up too much space in the suitcases. The OOT bags with be the "favors" for our guests. I think its stuff they will use while they are down there and can throw out anything they don't want to bring home. Better than giving a favor most guests will never use or eat or want to take home. I don't think I've seen you on the Aventura thread. You need to come over there and start chatting with us brides. That thread has been so helpful. We have a bride who just got back and a bride who is down there now. Can't wait to read their reviews and see their pictures. We have a little over 4 months now until our weddings. WOOHOO!!
  6. So it looks like the bags are no longer available online. However, I did go into a store and they had plenty and in different colors - light pink, light purple, dark pink/red and then the blue color we saw online. So if any one still wants them I'd suggest trying out the stores. They are smaller than a normal beach/tote bag but since our guests don't need to carry towels in them they are the perfect size for all the little goodies we are putting inside....and it will make them look/feel really full LOL!! I also think I might do an iron on or embroider them since they only cost $1 and our guest probably wont use them again after the wedding. Had I got more expensive ones that they might use again I would probably just attach a bag tag to them. But again they were only $1 so I don't care if they don't use them or decide to toss them. I LOVE THE DOLLAR TREE!!!
  7. Same dilemma here. Have to wait for at least a good estimate. Right now I have no clue. But I guess we could return anything we don't use or sell if to other brides after. I'm so anxious to start collecting the items.
  8. Same here. I posted these on the other Dollar Tree tote bag thread yesterday and had them in my cart since yesterday. Then I went online this morning and same thing - OUT OF STOCK. I panicked too.
  9. Very cute!! I have been planning on getting those and possibly sending them out before hand with my pre-travel brochure or adding them to the OOT bags. With their 40% off coupons it becomes such an inexpensive gift. I <3 Michaels!!
  10. That looks amazing. This is my inspiration picture too. Nice to see it re-created. LOVELY!!
  11. The ones I was looking at for a while are not on their website any more. Shucks. But I did run across these. They look like the perfect size. They come in green, blue and red. 14x4½x9½"H http://www.dollartree.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=319506&categoryId=304&parentCategoryId=209&productVariantId=319506&quantity=1&itemGUID=b8c0b183c0a86e6600423d4f50d41342
  12. Have you ladies seen this yet? I love this store but I never thought of it having such great wedding decor stuff. Maybe a vase or some fake flowers but they really went all out with their wedding ideas. Check it out!! http://www.dollartree.com/custserv/custserv.jsp?pageName=Weddings
  13. I love Jetblue and I love how they fly to some many destinations. Virgin America flies from LA to Cancun for about $169 one way. Super cheap!! Just waiting for those November dates to come out and crossing my fingers it stays around $169. - Dress has been bought - CHECK! - Invitations mailed out with a RSVP of 8/18/11 - CHECK! - Re-did my centerpieces last night and very happy with them - just need to buy some stuff for them - Finished bedazzling all the flip flops for the girls - CHECK! - Bedazzled my garter...so cute! - CHECK! - Looking at OOT bags and cuter bags for the BMs but still have to wait until it gets closer Wow its less than 5 months now. We started at 15 months out so this is crazy!! Hope planning is going well for everyone else.
  14. Have a great time Jessica!! Nicole's advice is great. Enjoy every moment to the fullest...especially your wedding day. Can't wait for you to come back. But I hope your time out there goes very slow for you.
  15. Welcome back Alisa!! Glad to hear you had an amazing time. I bet your wedding was beautiful. Can't wait to hear all the details and see you gorgeous pics!!
  16. YAY another Aventura bride. Come join us on the Aventura thread as well!!!
  17. 1) - I think Mexican is perfect!! 2) - Can't remember the flavor choices but I think they have a cheescake one and I heard some brides say it was delish!! 3) - One of everything please!!
  18. Thanks ladies!! I am really happy with the way they turned out. I am so glad I decided to go this route.
  19. Thanks girl!! It was such a relief to put them in the mail and be done with them. Now on to other things...
  20. This really does look good. And as you said it depends on the energy and personalities of the guests. I just know that when I've been at a table with several friends (10+) I only get to talk to the people on both sides of me and across the table so I feel the socializing is limited. But the guests will be up walking around, eating, drinking, dancing and socializing so it probably isn't an issue anyways.
  21. Maybe I'm not picturing it right but I think 1 long table is harder to be social than the T-shaped. I think the guests would have more choices of who to talk to if there were at a "T" shape table than just and "I" shape. Does that make sense? But maybe I am picturing it wrong.
  22. V - I put on my wedding invite that the wedding was semi-formal - cocktail/special occasion dresses preferred for the ladies while slacks and jackets are preferred for the gentlemen. We wanted to make sure someone didn't show up in shorts or a beach cover up. Our wedding is in a gazebo overlooking the water - not on the sand which has a tendency to be slightly more casual. Some guests know better but some will have to be told. I like your idea of "beach elegance attire".
  23. Yea I already have a checklist of things "to do" and another general "things" list for everything wedding. I love when I get to cross stuff off. Since I love vacation so much I usually always have my suitcase open at least a week before so I can only imagine how I will be for the wedding. A month out I'll probably start packing stuff up cause I'll be so excited and then I'll have to unpack and repack and so on LMAO. Good tip about the folder and all the important documents. Do you have a lot of people traveling on your flight? I am really hoping to get the whole bridal party on the same flight. I can only imagine how crazy and rowdy we will be. I think getting on the plane has got to be such an amazing feeling. Just don't start racking your brain about what you might have forgotten. I have a tendency to do that. Whatever you might forget I bet you can get it there. Enjoy these next few days - hope they aren't too crazy for you!!
