  1. Yup that is a steal. For a 10 page album it was close to $500. So ridiculous.
  2. This was a great idea Joanne. Alysa you actually leave next month!! U lucky girl. =)

  4. We leave 7 wks from yesterday too and we have the same wedding date!!! How exciting.
  5. We plan on doing this and our main color is turquoise. Seems like every drink close to that color has blue curacao in it. I love rum so I plan on doing something with those two.
  6. Great job on the 30 lbs!!! Must feel so good. I can only imagine how the last few weeks are going to go for me. Just do as much as you can when you have time. Even a quick 15-20 min interval session will do wonders for your body and calorie burn. It will also help with stress so try to get some workouts in and lots and lots of rest. 3 weeks...how exciting!!
  7. Ummm where are the photos missy??? We would love to see you in it!! Mine is shipping this week and I should be able to try it on next week. I CAN'T WAIT!! I forgot to take pictures in it when I made my decision so I am dying to go try it on again and get some photos.
  8. Wow these are gorgeous. If I didn't already have bright turquoise "blinged out" heels I'd do these. Love them!!!
  9. We ordered FIs suit a long time ago and he loves it!! He won't let me see him in it so I can't tell you what I think. Just the other day he decided to go ahead and order the groomsmen's pants and have them ship directly to them. FI did a custom suit and loved the fit but we ordered the pre-set sizes for the guys and he went 1 inch bigger on all the waists for the guys. I'll let you know what feedback we get.
  10. YAY!! All my VP stuff came yesterday. I feel so close to being done with the OOT bags. What a good feeling!! I'll post pics once I have them done and all setup for a nice photo op.
  11. Great. Just make sure the calories you are eating are healthy ones that will help fuel your body during the day and especially during your workouts. I would also recommend a protein supplement if you aren't already taking one. A quick and easy way to get cals and protein in your body and help you recover quickly.
  12. As an example. I need almost 1600 cals just to stay alive and keep my organs working. If I ate 1500 cals a day my body would be starving and eating its own muscle...instead of fat usually. Who wants that when we all know lean muscle burns lots more cals than fat. Since I am a very active person I need about 2300-2600+ cals just to maintain my current body weight. If I want to drop weight then I decrease that number by a couple hundred cals a day.
  13. Just my $.02....1500 cals doesn't seem like very much and sounds more like a very generic number. Your daily caloric requirements are a special formulated number for you and you alone. You need to figure out your BMR (http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/) so you know how many cals you burn just staying alive. Then use another calculator (Harris Benedict Equation) to figure out how many calories you burn in a day. Then you can figure out how many you should be eating to lose, maintain or gain. Way too many woman just try to pick a random number and stay around it (like 1500) when that could be doing you more harm then good. A little effort is needed to figure out your specific formula but after that you know what you need to eat each and every day which makes it easy. As you lose weight you can re-run the numbers and adjust them if necessary. Hope this helps you or any other woman out there.
  14. To add to my checked OFF list.... - I decided on a hair stylist to do a trial and my wedding day hair - figured out the table arrangements for the reception (it was driving me nuts!! - have a mom and dad w/ step-mom that need to be completely separated LOL) - purchased the chair sashes, table runners and napkins - FI surprised me with a suitcase set for the wedding!!! Major things still left.... - MUSIC PLAYLISTS!!! aaaaahhhh - remaining items for OOT bags - parents gifts - make appts at resort for spa/salon - waiting for BM dresses to arrive (mid Oct) - waiting for my dress to arrive (next week supposedly)!!!
  15. Well I love shopping online even though sizes can be tricky. I prefer the websites with free return shipping just in cases the sizes are not right. zappos.com and heels.com and my favs so far. Check them out for wedges and tons of other stuff.
  16. I think I will just ask for some tips on how to put it up and have my bridesmaids listen and ask them to do it after the pictures.
  17. Thanks ladies!! I think I am going to go with Adrian and do a trial either for my bachelorette or my welcome dinner party. I have lots of pictures to bring with me as examples so it should be fine. A big concern I do have is I want my hair half up/half down with loose wavy curls. I know most brides in Mexico prefer their hair up because of heat, humidity and wind but I know I want long loose curls so I'm hoping it works out. I know by the end of the ceremony and pictures the hair will be up and ready to party LOL.
  18. Welcome Irene!! When is your wedding? What have you already decided on?
