    My mom (with the help of my bridesmaids) is actually throwing my shower -- she's doing a bit grander than she normally would have, but since we're still debating about an AHR, there will be at least one big event at home...

    We were told the same thing, so we just had our guests work it out with each other... Also, each person's paying $10 each for their transfers.

    We're thinking about going Nov 29-Dec 3. We were told to take a car to Chetumal and then take a ferry to San Pedro... we're still trying to find a car to Chetumal from our resort.

    Yayyy KDavis-soon-to-be!! So excited for you!! When you have your downtime, I have a quesiton for you (or anyone else)... does the resort have a fire show on Thursday night?!??? That's what it sounds like from your post... we're having a welcome beach party on Thursday night before my wedding, and I was going to pay for the fire show to come to our event... but if the resort already has one, I might not need to! Any ideas?

    Awesome pics blondy! You looked amazing, and so happy!! Loved it! We're also doing an eggplant purple and lime green for our ceremony... I loved the fans, with the green ribbon and purple/white tag... did you take those with you or did you get them from MP?

    This turned out great! I'm probably going to get this same cake from MP but with the twisted layers... so the squares aren't perfectly lined up... it looks great! Do you know if they let you swap out the flowers for different ones?

    Ooh, I love this. I might use this for our lunch centerpieces after our ceremony... our colors are lime green and eggplant purple!

    Yeah, we've been looking into Belize and are trying to work with our resort to get a private car transfer to Chetumal, Mex (which is where the ferry is to get over to Belize..) Then we're flying one way from the Belize airport back home... We're thinking about staying in this place called Victoria House on San Pedro island.

    My understanding is that he doesn't come in and set everything up -- instead, he comes in saying that he has a delivery. Marvin told me he does stuff at MP ALL the time and hasn't had any problems... so I'm trusting him on it...

    Marvin is the florist at Maya Diseno Floral -- a lot of people use him for their bouquets becuase he's a lot cheaper than MP is... Here's his e-mail: [email protected]

    I haven't had a huge problem. He definitely goes a week or two without responding, but I just send another follow-up email and he usually responds to those pretty quickly...

    Mocha, your pictures are awesome! It looks like your photog was from Ontario and you took them down with you... we're doing the same thing, did they give you any trouble? I assume not because they're then "guests" of the hotel, but just wanted to check...

    I went to Mexico in January, and yes it was the red/green button for customs...

    It's funny that they keep saying that, because I got my wedding number and all of my location reservations before I signed the wedding contract or room contract... and I refused to sign the contract that said 3 months; I changed the language to read "Assign a WC as soon as possible"...something like that. I also did do a site visit before picking MP and met with the on-site wedding sales rep, so maybe she pulled strings. No idea.
