  1. I think it ends tomorrow. $900 dresses for $299! Too bad I already bought my dress. http://www.ideeli.com
  2. Sebita: i agree with everyone else- the front looks good. Try to get them to at the very least reimburse you for alterations and take it somewhere else to get the back fixed.
  3. I would just choose a seller you like and then send pics of the dress you want and ask if they can make it for you. That's what I did.
  4. This is good to know. I was wondering the same thing. I thought it was just automatic. I've got a whole list of docs I've been waiting to download
  5. OK, ready for some pics? Here's the original Pronovias: And here's my dress: Sorry I couldn't get a good pic of the back but you can really see the seem where the zipper is.
  6. My dress came yesterday! I ordered it and 18 days later it's already here in my hands. When I opened it I could not believe how much it looked like the Pronovias I tried on at the bridal shop. I tried it on and the fit is perfect- it's a little snug which is good because I have about 5 lbs to lose before my wedding and when I sent in my measurements I took a 1/2 in off my hips and waist knowing that I had that weight to lose. There are couple places that don't seem to lay quite right but from what I can see it seems like an issue of needing to be pressed/steamed and not with the actual workmanship. I'll try to post pics as soon as I have someone to take some.
  7. Working Girl = Melanie Griffith
  8. Welcome! I'm sure you will be more at ease once you visit the resort and discuss things with their coordinator. You shouldn't need a planner unless you are wanting something beyond what the resort offers. Don't stress. This should be a really happy time in your life! Enjoy it!
  9. I'm not getting married in Cancun but I am getting married in Mexico and my FIL's are not coming because of what they hear about Mexico. There is violence in cities across the US everyday. Mexico is a big country. People need to educate themselves before making such a major decision (not traveling to your wedding). I've found that the best and most accurate source of info is the U.S. Department of State. The website is http://travel.state.gov/ and it has travel warnings and alerts about where it is not safe to travel and advice about what precautions to take when you do travel to places including Mexico and you can even sign up to receive e-mail notifications for new alerts. I don't think it is reasonable to cancel your wedding.
  10. I'm small chested too. But I agree, a good photographer should know how to pose you in the most flattering way depending on your body type. It really shouldn't be something you should have to tell them.
  11. I've seen this done before. I don't think it is at all unusual. My FMIL actually had guests do this at our baby shower and at the time I did think it was a little tacky but the guests didn't really seem to mind and when it came time to do the thank yous I have to say it was kind of nice. But if it is something you are not comfortable with just tell her that you would rather write them yourself.
  12. Donnie Darko = Jake Gyllenhaal
  13. I don't think it matters who changes their name. I think the process is the same. Your name isn't legally changed until you get your marriage certificate and file for a name change. But I think most people start using their new last name immediately after the wedding even though it hasn't officially/legally changed.
