And Grey's those dresses are beautiful! I especially like the first one, so flowy and pretty for a tropial trip!

Lisa, how are you feeling about the teeth whitening now? Did you have it done at Meadowvale Dental Centre? I was supposed to go in today for my consultation but I just don't feel up to it so I canceled. I also don't want to spend the money on the cleaning etc, if it isn't worth it. I fell so strapped for time and cash it's now a matter of the essentials! ( and by essentials I mean cute trip outfits, make-up and mani-pedis)

Haha Laura, My FI's old roomate had sent us an invite to their wedding a month before we got engaged and it was "& Guest". Meanwhile I had just been to their housewarming party and they knew full well what my name was and that FI and I lived together! I knew the girlfirend/ fiancee had always had a beef with me so I took it personally. So when we sent out our invites I addressed theirs to & Guest! Not the most mature... but I enjoyed it!!!! Ahhhh revenge....

My FI is 9.5 years older than me!! People are always completely shocked when they hear his age though. He still gets ID'd sometimes and he's 36!!! It's the best of both worlds for me I think... mature in personality... still a babe in looks

When my mom went down for a site visit they told her to reserve the French resto in it's entirety would cost $10,000 because that means they are closing it to the rest of the resort. You could do a semi private reception maybe, I'm not sure how that might work though. Good luck with your choice!

Oh and last note (sorry) things really looked up last night when I got to the salon to have my extensions trimmed. The lady who did my hair was awesome and she offered to put a pre bd shoot package together for me for half price that includes the shelac nail system!! Anyhoo I'm even more in love with my extensions now that they've been trimmed and I'll post pics soon!! Oh and Kiwi same deal as I wrote to Tris above, just remember honey the people who matter will be there!!

Tris I am so sorry about your friend, that is really hurtful and that she is avoiding you makes it worse. I find that destination weddings if nothing else really show you who your friends are. Just remember at the end of the day you want only the people who truly want to be there to support you be there. I just keep saying: the people who matter most will be there, because those are the type of people I want in my life. Maybe you should send her an email telling her how you feel. Otherwise you'll end up resenting her and it will further damage your relationship.

Have a really, really good cry. I had a breakdown yesterday and it felt really good. Last night I slept like a baby and today I'm ready to kick this wedding's a$$!!! We are doing mine once we get to Mexico since most of my girls are from Vancouver, but partying it up in Cancun seems like a great hen party to me!!!

So it turns out it was actually the TA's fault. She has her daughter as her assistant and her daughter is the one that screwed up and prematurely told Air Transat to go ahead and charge our card for the wrong amount...ughhhh..... I am now past panic and just feeling worn out and defeated....

Sorry Just saw this... it was amazing!!!! I LOVE them! I am going tonight to have them cut and styled. I was originally thinking I'd need to get them coloured too so they would match my own hair but the colour matches absolutely perfectly!!! Couldn't have been better!

Oh and to make today better, my travel agent, who has been a nightmare since day one, called yesterday to say our credit card was declined for the trip. We knew we had more than enough room, so FI calls the credit card company. Turns out Air Transat went ahead and took $5100 off of our credit card, without our permission over two weeks ago when we only owed $3662, so when the agent went to go put it through for a SECOND time, of course the card bounced!!! How can a company like Air Transat just go ahead and charge your credit card without your permission??? They better fix it and fast or I'll be submitting a complaint to the Canadian Better Business Bureau!!!! Sorry for all the vents... I HATE TODAY!!! Though on the plus side my extensions turned out wicked....

Oh Laura I'm sorry about your FMIL... how frustrating!!! Hopefully your FI can pick some middle ground there. I would leave it to him to put her in her place for sure!! I don't have FMIL problems but my mom and sister are driving me MENTAL!!! One month from the wedding and my mom calls me to complain last night that one of her friends is mad that I didn't invite her to the wedding. My mom then proceeds to tell me that usually the mother of the bride gets to invite whoever she wants. I told her well USUALLY, the brides parents are paying for the wedding so of course they can invite who they want!!! But since my dad is MIA and despite having lots of money my mom isn't contributing at all except for purchasing my dress I just can't believe she has the nerve to bring up a "traditional" situation with a month to go!! AHHHHH Then later my mom calls me again, to complain that my irresponsible sister is expecting her to put my bachelorette party on her credit card. My friends are very responsible and would be more than willing to each pay their own piece or to give my mom the money up front but my sister is too lazy so she just gets my mom to take care of it and then my mom resents me for it....WTF????

Tris and Tiera, I'm so sorry to hear you are feeling down. I think it's perfectly normal though, especially given the extra stress we're outing on ourselves to have the perfect DW. Right now you are both (me too!) really overwhelmed with everything you have to get done, but as you start checking those things off your list your anxiety will lessen and excitement will take over! *hugs* Just picture you, your hubby, a gorgeous beach. We'll all be there soon!!

You ladies have inspired me to take action on the AHR... I just put a venue on hold for June 18th!! I'm tired of waiting for my FI so I googled away and completely lucked out!! I found a venue with an outdoor gazebo that we can use for a champange brunch!! They specialize in weddings (they have like 10 halls) so everything we need can be taken care of on site. We will be having about 50 people, and I think I can swing the whole thing for under two grand!! I was hoping to use a picture from the wedding for the AHR invites but do you girls think that will be enough time? I'm assuming I can get them out the second week of May, which is a month in advance.... ah I don't know!!!

Erin that sucks about the shoes!! Have you tried Zappos.com? I 'm pretty sure they have everything and their shipping was pretty speedy! We haven't picked a date yet because it really depends on the venue. Though now that FI's aunt is terminally ill I think we'll be moving it up, since it will mean so much to FI if she can make it. We may end up having to rush somthing together at a lounge or restaurant last minute. I'm thinking about maybe a cute and trendy brunch tea party or a cocktail reception (cause hey if they wanted the royal treatment those guests could have come to Mex!), rather than a full blown reception. Thanks Brandy!! I am actually still debating about the length! either 18" or 22". I'm a total shorty (5'3) so I have to see how they look when I hold them up cause I don't want to end up looking like Cousin IT!

Ohhh and I have my hair extensions being put in tonight!!!! I'm super nervous yet excited at the same time!!! And our pinwheels for the centrepieces arrived at our house today, I can't wait to get home tonight so I can see them!! I agree, the April Ladies planning threads will kick some serious butt.

Brandy - Those invites look great!!! Erin - Congrats on booking the AHR venue!! That must be a huge load off!! We haven't picked our venue out yet because it's in my FI's home town of Windsor and I have no clue what places are good there to have it! I originally wanted to have it outside under a tent but people in Windsor are super traditional and treated me like I was speaking a foreign language when I tried to inquire. Now I need to rely on FI for suggestions which explains why it hasn't happened yet!

Wow Tris! I just checked out your invite thread and those are FANTASTIC!!! I love them!! I feel bad now about not doing invites, I just did crappy save the dates from Vista and directed people to our website! If we weren't so close to the wedding I'd be trying to make those for sure!

I hear you ladies I've HAD IT with winter!!! I had to drive home from downtown in that blizzard on Saturday night Laura, it was terrifying!! Snow was blowing all over the place. We leave 5 weeks tomorrow, I am just trying to stay focused on that!!!
