YAY TENNY! Have such an amazing time!! Thanks for starting this thread, I don't know what I would have done without it! Can't wait for your pics! I say pack both pairs of shoes, if you have an outfit that the white ones will go with (if not my solution is to buy an outfit to go with the shoes, but that may be the shopping addict in me talking). Had my dress fitting last night and I was THRILLED! (sorry to the ladies having problems don't mean to rub it in) but the lady is a genious and cheap!! I had an absolute ton of alterations done and also brought my party reception dress in to get taken in and shortened all together is was only $180! I had been worried that I wouldn't fit in the dress since I had her take it way in, but it turned out we could take it in even further (I just told her breathing is optional, a small waist is not!) I have pics I can upload when I get home. Holy hell....WE LEAVE TWO WEEKS TODAY!!!

Good call Mocha! No one will be looking that closely at our dresses, they'll be too busy looking at us and we will be focused on our amazing men! As for the tattoo she did it that way so she could whip it out whenever she feels like she needs more attention. At least if it was already out there it would just be another tattoo and no one would care much. You dont expect this so it's more shocking when she shows it. whatever she can tattoo her forehead if she wants. It's still mine and FI's week, surrounded by our friends and it will still be all about us, no matter what stunts she tries to pull!

I know right??? Like how ridiculous is she?? She had a constant need for attention even if it's negative so she is always trying for the shock value. So this time I didn't give her the satisfaction and ignored her calls for a week. When she brought it up over text I just said "am I supposed to be shocked? Cause your shenanigans are no longer entertaining". Lesee it was me not Mocha unfortunately but you're right, she'll regret it. Especially since I eventually plan to make her feel guilty by reminding her of the people who have been recently killed by Somali pirates. They are real and they hurt families. I figure it will speed up that regret process and teach her a lesson.

Laura your planning thread looks great!!! Thank goodness for me my mom flew in this weekend and we burned through almost all of my crafting projects, and I'm in love with how they've been turning out!! I go for my second dress fitting tonight. I'll bring my camera to take pics and post them later!

My sister is so desperate for the spotlight at this point that she went and got a ridiculous tattoo!! She had "Pirate" tattooed on the inside of her lip. WTF??? Do you seriously need attention that badly that you would get the stupidest thing you can think of tattooed on yourself?? My friends had to totally take over the bachelorette party planning because she was too busy planning her own birthday party (which isn't until May) to give a crapp about the biggest night out of my life... pfffft... whatever!!!! (Sorry, touchy subject)

On the cover I put "love is above all.... The gift of ones 's self" and then the first page is a letter to him from me starting with "today, on our wedding day, ...."

Jess I read a bride's review that said she used her iPhone but it caused some interference because she should have had it on airplane mode (something with the signal affecting the sound equipment). You should be ok if you put it in airplane mode though. Just a thought but we are putting our playlists for the wedding on three different iPods and giving one to my mom to keep in her room and keeping the other two. That way if anything is lost or stolen, or dies unexpectedly we have back up. (between the two of us we somehow ended up with 4 iPods, two iPhones and an iPad.) On another note.... ONLY 26 DAYS TIL THE WEDDING!!!!!

Brandy, I'm sorry to hear about your dress, but on the plus side at least this led to you finding out about the cups! Is she putting the right ones in now at least? Maybe more volume will help with the creasing?? You are going to look so beautiful, that no one will notice a couple creases so don't you worry!! I have my second dress fitting on Monday and I'm worried!!! I made the appointment right after my bd shoot and told her to go ahead and take it in because I was down 5 pounds... well I haven't gone to the gym since my bd because I was sick and then I fell down the stairs at work and hurt myself (stupid March snow storm!) and am now up 4 pounds!!! Looks like Sunday night will mean the laxitive diet for me!! (sorry if that is TMII!)

WOW Grey's how scary for you!!! I am SO SO happy that you were able to get it checked out so quickly and that it is negative!!! I'd say a fewdrinks were certainly in order! I'm glad you enjoyed your BD shoot. Can't wait to see the pics!

Plus they offer tracking to Canada so at least I won't loose my mind worrying. Landscape will have to do! Mocha, what do you think I should do about my BD book? (since you're a fellow Canadian gal with some experience with this!)

I am pretty lucky with the email address thing since my company email is megan@... so no worries there, I'll probably have my maiden name in brackets in my email signature for the first while then transition out of it. I already set up a personal account with my new last name so I'll probably just email everyone with my new email info and then continue to monitor my old one for a bit. Mocha ours is kind of the opposite with taking the parent's name thing. My FI always wanted to take his step dad's name since his real dad was so awful but his mom never let him because like it or not it is who he is. His dad has long since passed and I think it will be nice for us to take that name and make it our own by attaching much nicer, happier memories to it.

Just to add to the document discussion, the only time you will need your birth certificate is if you have been previously married and divorced. Then there are a whole bunch more hoops to jump through.

I can see both sides as well in the sense that everyone's situation is unique and we have different reasons for our choices. Lesee I'm sure you have your reasons as well!! Laura that is so cute about the subscription. We've started using it for little things too. I had a name tag made for attending work conferences and networking events and it has my new name on it. The only problem now is that it doesn't match my business cards!! Lesee what would you do about kids (if you're planning on having them)? Hyphen? I think it would be tough to not have the same last name as my kids (if I have any!)

Sorry I wish I could help you there, but I cannot WAIT to change my name, I've already started using it for some things!!! My current name is awful and has a lot of negative things attached to it so I am so happy for my new one!!! Plus my new one is wicked... it makes me sound like a movie star or author.

EEKS ladies that is so scary about the BD books!!! I need to make and order mine tomorrow and have it express shipped here because we leave in less than three weeks. I have no room for error here so I don't know which company to go with!! I had started with Blurb and downloaded the software, but I want to do a square book and they didn't offer it in the size I want, so I started on Shutterfly but now I am scared to order from them!!! Any suggestions? There is Kodak that I can pcik up from Best Buy or Walmart or Costco, but I don't know how much I want to go into those places to pick up my nekked book!! Or about timelines.... AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

fmichelle that was me with the honeymoon and you're totally right! Since my mom booked us in we can spoil ourselves a bit, so I am suprising FI with a helicopter shuttle from the airport!! Everytime we watch the bachelor and a helicopter shows up to take them on a date he gets all jelous, so I think he is going to lose it! They also have a thing where they will drop you off on your own private island for a day with a picnic which I think would be awesome. I am so stoked to have a butler!!!

Char I love orchids, but unfortunately they are pretty $$$$. I will likely have a few in my bouquet though. Teira Hydrangeas are a fav of mine too, but I've heard the availability of them can be iffy in Mex, did you have any problem reserving yours?? PS. did you know your planning thread is being featured in the top banner of the home page?? How exciting!!
