Hi Aynat, The wedding highlight video cost $3500 , but you also get all the raw footage. It sounds like alot ,but I would do it again in a heartbeat. Everytime I watch the video , it brings me back to that day and all the pictures in the world, can't bring you those emotions. Check out some of his other work, all of his videos are amazing. We had no problems at all, and I am a little bit of a control freak. Have you choosen your reception venue yet and your ceremony? Hey Ladies, I got married at the Riu Palace in April and it wasw just amazing. For those of you unsure of getting a Videographer , I highly recommend getting one. There were so many moments that slip away becuase the day is so busy and exciting that when I got my video back, it brought me back to the day and I felt that excitment. We also are getting 'symboliccaly married' in Mexico three weeks from now. No one knows that we have already legally got married in Canada, only my fiances mom and our 2 witnesses. We didn't want to tell anyone because we didn't want it to take away from our day in Mexico as we are treating this as our wedding day. For our legal ceremony. I had a minisiter come to our home, we did not dress up or anything. To make it legal in Alberta, you only have 4 lines that you have to say to each other and the witnesses. We did not have rings, vows or a kiss. We just wanted it to be the legal part and we didn't want it to take away from our day as well. It worked well. Our 2 best friends were there arnd they were quite excited, but we really want our date in April to be our wedding day. Afterwards, we had some wine and went out for a nice supper.

Hi, If your wedding is scheduled , did you not coordinate this with Sakura and get your confirimation number? If you have your confirmation number, there is no need to worry. Check the Riu Weddings website and look at the calender to see if your day/time is blocked off. With regards to the questions you are worried about, that is the kind of stuff they will discuss with you closer to your wedding date. They are busy with the brides who are getting married right now. I went through the same thing, but once your 2 months arrives, they are very good , even if you email them 10 days a day , they will get back to you. I would suggest constantly writing down all your questions so that when the time comes, you can have all your answers at the same time. With regards to the flowers, my wedding is about a month away and I have been in contact with the florist in the last 48 hours and all of my floral arrangemtns and evertyhing I want for flowers is completely taken care of. Don't worry, But I would also be upset that they have not responded, make sure you have the correct email addresses. Goodlucki Michelle

Hey Kary! Yes , I was pretty sad when I got the email as well. I also recieved the new menu, I seriously was in shock with the $117.00 surf and turf option!! I had to email them and ask if there was a typo!! With regards to the legalization process, I am of no help. We are getting married here secretly before we leave ( just legally , no vows, or rings or anything meaningful) Then having the symbollic ceremony down there so we don't have to deal with all the paperwork. I am also hiring the DJ with the lighting but have not heard any reviews other than Crys said that she was very happy with them! Talk soon, off to bed! Michelle

Hey Israelson, the Baja Norte is pool side . That is the venue I am choosing, I haven't looked into the terrace with the dance floor , but if you skim back through some recent pictures of Riu Palace brides , I know a bride named Crys had her wedding there with the beach dance floor and she posted some pictures , it shouldnt be too far back because her wedding was only a few months ago! Kary, have you got the new 2012 menu yet? I am anxious to hear from the coordinator as the wedding date is just about 3 months away.

I am having a hard time deciding what to buy my bridesmaids for gifts, so far I have bought them their shoes for the wedding but I wanted to add something else. What is the best gift you have received as a BM gift? Maybe this will help me!

Did they give you any details abuot the DJ service and if you can meet with them prior to your wedding? Has there been any changes from 2011 in general? Because the wedding is an ' exclusive' event that you are having at the hotel so in that case they can charge for the venue, the alcohol , the food ( if you choose to have a private dinner). They take advantage of the weddings just like a venue back in your hometown does. It sucks , but it's still cheaper than having a large wedding back home - in my case anyways Goodluck ladies!

Hey Kary, I know where Detroit is , I used to live in London , Canada, only 3 hours away from you. Now I am in Western Canada though. I have been slacking with my planning, but I guess I have most things already. For clothing and assesories, I just need to buy a flower ( which I have already picked out, I just have to go get it . ) I have not heard from the menus yet , but I have decided against doing menu cards because I am afraid that once we get there, something may change ( venue , etc ) and I am afraid it may be a waste of money, who knows, once I speak to Adriana more when my three months arrive, I may change my mind again. I am still in a toss up with the favors though. I would like to pick up mini rum or tequilla bottles and use them as favors but don't know how easy that would be ?? I have never been to Cabo! I think you should keep your original plan and use the fuschia runners and sashes, if you love pink that much, you will regret not having the color incorporated into your wedding. Besides you already purchased them ! Have you been talking to Adriana much? I emailed her a few weeks ago but didn't hear back, I will wait until my 3 months which is only a month away!!! EEek.
