  1. Absolutely interested. Tammy, thank you again for this wonderful resource, it has been such a blessing!
  2. I found them this weekend at some of the Dollar Tree stores in Jersey (not all of them received them yet). Most of the stores should have got them in Monday's shipment and should be unpacked by now. The bags were kind of hidden, so search the entire store! Good luck!
  3. You're make-up came out great. Glad I took everyone's advice and booked Rashel.
  4. Congratulations Mrs. Smith! First and foremost, you were a beautiful bride and I can't believe you're married and back already (you are totally a friend in my head from this board LOL). Thanks for all of the information, I am sure there are many of us that benefited from your posts. At the end of the day, the most important thing is to remember the great things about your wedding and enjoy the start of your lives as Mr & Mrs Smith!!!! I'm off to read your review and CALL Nicole now, as I too am totally willing to just pay for 50 people (currently we only have 20 booked and 47 that RSVP'd yes). Congrats again.
  5. Thanks for the heads-up! I went today and they were still unpacking their new shipment of merchandice. I will be going everyday until I find them, I am clearly obsessed with these bags... LOL
  6. Hi Elisa: Welcome to the group and congrats on your upcoming wedding! I am getting married 3 days later at the suites, so it is defintiely crunch time with getting everything done. The best advice is to literally read this entire thread. There is so much information on here, that most of your questions have most likely already been answered. To answer some of your questions, I am defintiely bringing all of my "goodies" with me. I plan on putting stuff in my checked luggage, carry-on and then if need be, giving items to some of my guests to bring down with them. As for shipping items keep the following in mind: the hotel will not hold anything for you it is very hard to get everything cleared through customs especially if you are not there to personally pick it up You can have whatever type of wedding you want, it all depends on your budget. Good luck in your planning! Kecia
  7. Good question! I agree with BeachBride that packing items in boxes would definitely red flag your items for a customs inspection. I am just going to put everything in our bags and in my Mom and my FMIL bags. I am actually attempting to bring most of my decorations back with me as I want to reuse it a month later at our AHR! Still trying to figure out who is going to take all that stuff down and repack it all.... Let me know if you ladies have any suggestions. Good Luck!
  8. Great Thread! Keep the feedback coming!
  9. Hi Lisa, Sorry to hear the livingsocial vendor didn't work out so well. I received an email from Jenerations this morning. I will PM it to you since it's rather lengthy. Let me know what you think. Anyone else out there interested in doing a group BD session before May? We need 6 more girls to get the $99 group rate. Thanks, Kecia aka prettysparklie
  10. Hi Ladies! I just discovered this thread and I am glad I did. I never thought of doing a BD book as my wedding gift to my FI. It's such a great idea. If anyone is interested in doing the BD Group Session before mid-April, please let me know. I would love to save money by booking a group rate. I got so excited about this thread, I forgot to list details about myself! I am from Guttenberg, NJ (near West New York/Hoboken) and I am getting married June 23, 2011 at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites in Montego Bay, JA. While I am very detailed oriented, this whole wedding planning process has been crazy! Then again I asked for it, I chose to plan a wedding from scratch in less than 7 months! Happy planning to you all!
  11. Thank you for posting this! I practically jumped out of my chair calling/emailing/texting my FI to tell him and his GMs to get on it and go to Old Navy NOW! lol
  12. So FI decided on "Here I Stand" by Usher for our 1st dance. It's a beautiful song and everyother song we considered was 20+ years olf and we wanted something more modern. So excited to cross that off our list!
  13. Thanks for the feedback. I actually found some starfish at Christmas Tree Shops and will use those. I LOVE that store!!!!
  14. Thanks for the feedback ladies! I am sending my deposit by MoneyGram today.
  15. Hi Ladies! For those who booked Rashell how did you place your deposit? I was told to pay 50% deposit and pay buy western union or by wire transfer. How did you guys place your deposit? Thanks!
  16. Hi everyone! I am looking for 3 starfish boutonnieres for our groomsmen. I prefer that they not be over 3 inches point to point. Please feel free to respond or PM with a picture. Thank you! Prettysparklie
  17. Thanks for the information, I am contacting her now...
  18. Hi Vaneska: Not sure about the upgrade price, but I'm sure you called the hotel or travel agent they would tell you. We are not paying for an upgrade we are just hoping they do it when we check in! Fingers crossed.... My FI will be staying in his brother's room or one of his friend's room the night before. We definitely didn't want the expense of another hotel night.
  19. Hi Ladies! I am planning to include the following in our OOTO bags: -Personalized deck of cards -Small Rum cake -Small bottle of Rum -Personalized Tip/Key Card holder -Jamaican Travel Candle -Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee That's it for now. Besides the card, travel candles and the tip/key holder everything else will be purchased in Jamaica at the local grocery store, NOT at the tourist shops.
  20. Hi Ladies! I am planning to include the following in our OOTO bags: -Personalized deck of cards -Small Rum cake -Small bottle of Rum -Personalized Tip/Key Card holder -Jamaican Travel Candle -Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee That's it for now.
  21. We placed our order last night for FI's suit and custom shirt! FI ordered a test pair of pants a few weeks ago and his measurements must have been very off as the pants didn't have enough material in the rise/seat, so when he got them they fit REALLY low rise (not cute at all) even though we ordered the custom fit. The fabric and craftsmanship of them is great, hopefully a tailor can fix them and he can wear that pair for the welcome dinner. JUST BEWARE of incorrect measurements and triple check all of them (professionals included) and add the word FIX behind anything you don't want changed (he missed that major instruction last time). His new order is for the complete suit (and another custom shirt) and I triple checked his measurements this time so fingers crossed it will turn out great! I'll post pics of the outfit when it arrives. Thanks again for all the tips!
