  1. I posted my results in the WW forum, but I though I'd throw them up here, too! Just finished my second week on Weight Watchers, have been doing cardio 3 times a week at the gym, and total loss so far = 9 pounds! No more dieting for this girl....who knew portion control would get me such fantastic results?!
  2. Thanks Tenny! I'm hoping to get to my 5% goal by next weigh-in! It'll be a nice to reach that first milestone, and before my engagement party! Woot!
  3. Alrighty, so I've just had my official week 2 weight loss: 4.2 pounds! That's a total loss of 9 pounds so far! Although I'm elated, I know that the results will slow down in the coming weeks, and I shouldn't expect more than 2 pounds or so a week. But it was a great kick-start! I hope to hit my goal weight by July 10th, which leaves just enough time for the final alterations on my dress The hardest part is going to be getting to Cabo six days before the wedding!
  4. I actually got them from the exact same shop on Etsy : PlumPrettySugar. Never feel bad! Inspiration has to come from somewhere! My wedding is a compilation of things I've seen on StyleMePretty and GreenWeddingShoes! Kudos to brides that can afford to hire stylists for their wedding, it gives us the opportunity to look at those pretty, pretty pictures and emulate!
  5. Oh Ashley I loooooove that wedding! I've seen it on the Style Me Pretty They had gorgeous dresses, and I stole the idea of gifting robes to my BM's from that wedding! Great pick
  6. Love these dresses! My bm's could NOT pull it off! You need to have a model body to wear these! Gorgeous
  7. Welcome Jessie! That's so exciting! I am getting married at Dreams Los Cabos, and that is where all of my guests are staying. As we're staying in Cabo for 10 days, we've opted to go elsewhere for our honeymoon (we're road-tripping from San Diego to San Francisco). What about you? Staying for your honeymoon?
  8. They said mine could take 6-8 months. I ordered mine on October 15th, and it could come as late as mid-June! That's so exciting that yours came in! I'm sure a huge relief!
  9. Sandy, how long did it take to come in? I'm on month 4 right now!!! Can't wait
  10. Welcome LRJ! Mariana is my WC, too. She has been amazing so far. My wedding is in July, and so far we've created our theme, picked our florist, grooms and groomsmen's suits, bm dresses, found a DJ, a makeup artist and hairstylist, organized our photography/videography team...the list goes on! You will find lots of things to keep you busy
  11. Wowza! Where are you and your guest flying from? Ours are staying for 7 nights at Dreams, with airfare from Calgary/Edmonton/Toronto, the packages ranged from $1500-$1750.
  12. One week 'till Anthropologie's Bridal/Bridesmaid line launches! Makes me sad I already bought our bm's dresses....but probably better for our budget!
  13. Went to visit my in-laws over the weekend, cheated while I was there (having a Ukrainian FMIL, it's impossible NOT to!) had perogys, pereshke, cream, butter, carbs....I'm drooling thinking about it Anyway, ate IN MODERATION, did not go overboard, and still lost another pound on WW! Awesome! Down 8 pounds as of this morning! Engagement party in two weeks, no more cheating till then!

  15. Congrats on being a wifey! So exciting I've still got 170 days until I can call Greg husband!
  16. Hello and congrats! Like some of the other brides have mentioned, you need to do some research and definitely set a range for a limit. We wanted between $1500-$1800 all-inclusive for our guests (flight and hotel), which we managed to find, and are so happy with our choice (Dreams Los Cabos). The hardest part is explaining to guests that they are not going to find last minute prices when booking so much in advance.
  17. Krista, in order to get your "true" weight you need to weigh yourself everyday for a month, and average it out! Don't weigh yourself everyday!!! Depending on where you are in your cycle, your weight is going to fluctuate!
  18. It was my first week, so I just tried to stay within my daily points without going into allowance (I did by the end of the week use 8 points), and portion control. I still ate all the foods I love (Indian, Vietnamese, Sushi!!!) and even ate in a restaurant (my FI wanted ribs @ Baton Rouge; I had chicken and veg), and still dropped close to five. I didn't feel deprived at all.
  19. Ok, I've got my week one results! Drumroll please....4.8 pounds!!!! Just shy of that first 5 pound sticker! Hurray!
  20. Weight Watchers week one complete! 4.8 pounds So happy!!!
  21. Unfortunately all of the TA's I've spoken with (and there have been several) have told me that they cannot beat Expedia's rates, as the group booking quotes they are getting are coming directly from the package carrier (Westjet Vacations, Air Canada Vacations, etc). Hence pointless to make a group booking (in Canada, anyway). For booking your own individual trip, I would definitely use a TA!
  22. What's the response you were hoping for from Lola @ Florenta? She has been a miracle worker for me so far!
  23. I didn't even think you could pay a deposit only on Expedia. That's the whole point of the site: cheaper prices for PIF, and "no-frills" customer service. Expedia had a great sale on this weekend for our resort and we had 12 guests book this weekend alone! Awesome
  24. Sorry ladies, I can't make the 2nd! Have fun!
