  1. I don't think counters in the siggy is one of the new features for those of you who are trying and havent had a chance to read the update.
  2. Everything is beautiful!!! Congrats on a successful conversion!!!! I could hardly work today waiting for the roll out!! Let the festivities begin!!!

I was very proud of the CD's. Between the CD holders and the easels to hold them on, it looked like I spent a fortune. I bought the plain white CD holders at Favor warehouse on sale. I decorated them with my monogram, satin ribbon, and printed the song list on vellum paper. The hardest part was punching the hole on the side for the ribbon, the rest was easy! Thanks so much for answering the questions!! Is Favor Warehouse an online store or is local to you?

We had not gone to any of them so any island would be a new experience for us! I had some friends to go to Punta Cana last year so at least the name was familiar. The fact that they take American cash calms my fears greatly! Thanks. Also, thanks for still being on the forum even though you are married! It's great to get information from Brides-to-be but far more valuable to get insight from someone who has already been there. As for the "what to do" question, I sort of feel like it'll just be an on-your-own kind of weekend, aside from the ceremony and reception, because I only have like 5 people coming.
  5. Hey Jesse!! Thanks so much for the wonderful planning thread! I hope you are still active on the forum (I see your wedding was 2 years ago) because I have a couple of questions: ~Did you pick your menu before you got to the resort? I was wondering how I was going to make menu cards ahead of time because I did not have a menu. ~Your CD cases are lovely! I have been looking for something outside of the standard plasic jewel case. Where did you get these? ~When was the first time you met with the judge/officiant? Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and inspiration!
  6. This may be a wierd question but what kind of money do they use in Punta Cana? Also, people keep telling me that there is not much to do once you get off the resort. Is that true? Is it like baron, rural land when you leave the resort and are the resorts that far apart? Can you walk to other resorts or other places? People say it's really isolated. Is that true? We've never been and I'm not sure what to plan for people to do. Or if WE should plan anything at all for them. Please Help!
  7. I WISH my delimma was between us and our familie but our issue is that he wants a private ceremony with just us too and I want a large grand event with fireworks. {sigh} That's where the DW comes in. I told him that we could go to a far away island and get married and we only had 5 months to plan so nobody would really come. He agreed. But what I know is that my family would come if it was clear across the world tomorrow so it's kind of working out like that. My parents will be there and a few (like 5 or 6) friends that could afford it on such short notice. He doesn't know that yet but it'll be okay. So by having it in 4 months, thousands of miles away, we cut down on the number of people who are actually going to be there but I was still able to send out my STD's and Invitations like it was my real grand wedding. We kind of both got our way based on default by the timeing and place. I still was able to tell my family and invite them and build a website and send invites and do all the fun planning stuff I wanted to do as if those people were coming but in actually, it will only be me and him standing up there and my parents and those few people (mind you they have only shown interest, no one has booked yet). So that works out well for me. I felt like I was at least able to extend the invitation and tell everyone and get well wishes and make my family feel included but when it comes down to it, that can travel that far on such short notice. Which is a perfectly reasonable excuse. So now, we're both happy. I guess I just had a problem feeling like it was all private and no hoopla and feeling inconsiderate by not inviting my guest but we kinda killed 2 birds with one stone by having it so soon and so far away.
  8. Hello Ladies! Here is the hair style I am considering having for my wedding and the head piece. But I never took the humidity into consideration until it was mentioned on here. So I guess I'm back to square one. :-(

SOunds fun!
  10. Loved your ideas and templates!! Everrything was beautiful!! I wanted Orange and Pink for my wedding too but FI said ______ no! LOL. I guess he was really adoment about that combo. Anyway, I can live through you! Thanks for sharing!
  11. I would be interested in 1 packing list and the hand sanitizers if the shipping was reasonable. Since most of the stuff is gone, I'm not sure how economical it would be for these little things if the shipping trumps the purchase. Where would you be shipping from?
  12. So after searching various stores that sale bouquet pics and being thoroughly dissappointed, I decided to make my own. Here are some pictures of this adventure!! (The camera does it no justice! They are much more beautiful in person!) Here are my supplies. Putting the gems on the floral wire. Twisting the floral wire. Finished, Close up. Final 10 (to match my theme)!! "The Perfect 10"

  17. Quote: Horay! I am so happy to hear that your mom will be part of the dress shopping experience. You need that moral support when you are picking the dress!!! Thanks girl! I am so super excited!! We also went on Shane Co. website last night and picked out some favorite bands so we can walk in the store and have a starting point. So let's pray tomorrow goes smoothly!!

Hey ladies! So I talked to my dad today about the dress. He's going to fly me to dallas and drive my mom down to meet me and we can go shopping for my dress.
