I'm paying for dresses... I felt bad enough asking people to spend all that money to come to Mexico for our wedding, there's no way I could ask them to pay for dresses too!

I had colors until I bought my dress . My dress is an almondy color (slightly darker than ivory) with beige-sandy lace and beadwork. Anyone have suggestions of colors that might go well with it?

I'm in Canada too... there's quite a few threads with people in some of the major cities, if that helps you too! Its pretty good for finding local vendors/dresses/etc.

Forgot to tell you, I went and it was pretty good! I didn't quite get the results I was hoping for (maybe I was being unrealistic lol), but she says next time she'll leave me in for longer and we'll see if I get better results. I dropped 1.5% body fat, one inch on tummy, 1/2 inch on waist and 1/2 inch on each arm and thigh. Â

When I asked Landy about the fees for an outside DJ, she said we would need to buy a day pass for him... didn't mention anything about an "outside vendor fee"

Here it is! It's a couple inches too long, and the train is WAY too long so I'll need to get those fixed. Now that my "dress high" has worn off though, I'm starting to wonder if this might get too hot to wear on a beach! Hmm... Â

Oh and I got so focused on the dresses that I didn't get to spend much time checking out anything else at the bridal show! The only other thing I managed to find was the sand ceremony set that I wanted... now I can get it locally (well, Edmonton lol) instead of ordering it online. Yay!

I'm so excited, I had to share... I bought a dress at the bridal show yesterday!! Off the rack, so the price made me happy too and its sitting in my closet right now. It's not a typical "beach" dress, but I dont even care... I'm so in love with it. Just needs a few alterations  So giddy, I'm super excited for the wedding now

Does anyone know any specifics about the day passes? Like, do you need to leave the resort by a certain time? Can you buy 3 day passes and stay on the resort for 3 days (in someone's room)?

well, I officially no longer belong on this thread lol. Went to a bridal show today and fell in LOVE with a dress that was being sold by one of the vendors there. I tried it on, and it fit perfectly! Bought it off the rack so got it at a great price... I have my dress!! Yay!!

A few pages back, a couple people had suggested going into a store to try on dresses before ordering one online... and now that I've finally gone into a store, I have to say... you were SO right!! What I thought would look good on me made me look shapeless... and what I thought wouldn't look good made me look fantastic. Such good advice, thanks ladies  Now that I know what works... off to search for my dream dress online lol. Time to dig through Monica Bridal's dresses again!

haha! Cant hurt. Even if you dont use them, I"m sure someone you know might. The review on the link that was posted here earlier sold me on the company. I only bought 2... considering buying more before the day is over! Â I'm using one for our guestbook instead of paying our photographer a lot more to do it. I'd get her to do the wedding photobook... but guestbooks are so simple, $35 is perfect to me lol. Â Â

I think its really sweet that you got all emotional over the song while you two were dancing. Which dressmaker did you go through? This is the same dress I am planning to get and they did a great job! Would have loved to buy yours, but the size is wrong for me

We're using DJ Doremixx after all the great reviews here. I dont have a lot of faith in some of the resort vendors after reading a lot of the comments here.
