I think that depends on the resort... we're getting married at Dreams Tulum, and things like the bloodwork and translations of documents are not included in the wedding packages. We would be paying an additional $400 to be legally married there! But to avoid all the hassle of paperwork and wait time (and FI is scared of needles lol) we were also going to secretly do the paperwork here first. But hearing that some of you chose to do it after, I'm thinking thats actually a better idea! That way I wont feel like we are lying to our guests either

SUN TAN LOTION BOTTLES- PERSONALIZED FOR OOT BAGS!

How much for shipping to Canada? -
m00sie - thanks for that link! I really like that bottom, adding it to my list of things to consider ginger - great advice! I wish someone had given me that advice before the first time I went dress shopping lol... but I will put it to good use while I continue to look prettypigpig - no need to apologize, I wasn't offended by your comments! I just wanted to make the point that different men will like different things, and that not all men may be turned off by a poufy dress... especially because there are a lot of ladies on this forum that are looking for exactly that. I personally need a tiny bit of pouf to compensate for my tiny hips lol, but I'm with you in that I dont like a big dress on myself either. It's too different from anything I would normally wear and wouldn't feel like "me".

haha Lisa, we are just too picky for our own good I guess! Have you found THE dress yet? Thanks for that link! The symmetry does help a lot... but I think its still a bit "bigger" than what I'm looking for. I keep having these mental images of people trying to hug me but my dress is getting in the way lol lol prettypigpig, I'm not sure what to make of your comments. I'm also canadian, also very much a guys' girl (its rare to see me in a dress) and I can say that none of my guy friends share the view that your friends have given you. Of course, guys like to see women in something form-fitting... but whenever one of their wives has worn a puffier dress to their wedding, none of them have just pretended to be wowed by the sight of their wife in the dress. Tears and emotion can't be faked that easily! Anyways, moot point because I said that I wanted to change the bottom half of the dress... its too big for my liking, and I dont like the way it sits. I just need some suggestions on what I can do with it! The dressmaker has already told me that they can change it however I like -- I just dont know what to change yet. That's where I'm hoping those of you who have already gone through this can help Thanks for that info! I've already gone dress shopping in stores though and have figured out what looks good on me... so its not picking a dress that I need help with, its tweaking the one that I've found. I actually disagree with a lot of Randy's advice, I'm constantly yelling at him when he's on TV... I feel like he contradicts himself a lot! That guy, grrr

Pics are below Now I could totally use some advice from you ladies who know more about this than I do! I'm not all that crazy over the bottom half of the dress. The gathered areas (what the heck are they called?) seem random to me and not very elegant. Not sure how I would want that to look though... I just know that I want it to look different. I've asked for close-up pictures of the bodice, and have been told that the bottom can be changed however I like. Any suggestions?

Thanks for sharing these pics!! They did a fantastic job with your dress, its almost impossible to tell the difference betwen the two. And also thank you for sharing where you ordered this dress!! I had already bought a dress off-the-rack but was not completely in love with it and was casually browsing for something else that caught my eye. I've been looking at some of the other vendor's dresses (gianinar, monica bridal) and didn't see anything else I liked... and then I checked out the vendor you ordered from and have fallen head-over-heels in love with a dress that they make! Thank you thank you thank you thank you!!! How long did it take for you to receive your dress after you ordered it?

I'm with you ladies on the menu thing. I agree with a previous comment that we should expect to pay... which is fair. But when we're paying more per person for dinner than we would have paid if we stayed local, I would at least expect to be able to have more say in the menu! Does anyone know if the buffet would offer more choices? Plated service is nice, but if the buffet would offer more options I'll probably go that route.

Aww, I hope you got a hug from someone that day! Don't apologize for venting, thats why we're here Hope things are better this week!

I agree, those earrings are great and will look fantastic in pictures! I dont think they are too blingy either... just the right amount of bling for TTD pics

Pam that sounds fantastic! When are you planning to do your order through Bongo? Would love to hear what you think afterwards... its sounding like a good option for our mugs. $250 in shipping is a little too crazy for my liking

mochamakes - if you bought some, do you mind posting a picture? I'm going to check Dollarama for these too -
BeachBrideSoon... I was just at Michael's and they have bubblewands (looks identical to the ones in that picture) and its a box of 100 for $30! Buy that with one of those 50% off coupons from their flyers and you're laughing. They also have smaller boxes (cant remember if it was 25 or 30) for $15, not sure how many you need. I need 60 - 70, so I'll be picking up the big box. Also, if anyone was planning to buy folding fans, Michael's has some of those too now. I saw the sandalwood ones and I think paper... a box of 12 was $18 or something like that. When the heck did Michael's wedding section grow? They have a lot of really good stuff now, I know it was never there before.

What site have you been looking at this stuff on? I'm still searching for a few other things (fans, tulle, centerpieces, etc) and it would be so much easier if there was one place that had everything I needed . I still dont know how many I need yet either, hoping to know in a month or so. Have a pretty good idea, but want to make sure I order enough Chair sashes - looking for coral and aqua. You?
-
I'm interested! How much are the bubbles? And when are you planning to place the order? I'm going to be ordering chair sashes and tablecloths from here: http://weddinglinensdirect.com/satin-sash.html. If you're interested in ordering together and splitting shipping, let me know. I'm not in a big rush right now, but I know your wedding is before mine so I'm ok ordering sooner if necessary.

Boo - our photographer gave us the option of doing an engagement session here, or casual shots on the beach a day or two before the wedding... we chose to do it here just because we wanted the pictures sooner, but you always have the option to do some engagement pictures on a beach prior to the wedding! We used Gingersnap Photo (www.ginger-snap.com). I'm not really comfortable with posting pics on a public forum, but I can PM a couple to you! Sending to Proti and Sandy (if anyone else wants to see, let me know!) As for what they cost, it depends a lot on the photographer. Most of them include it in a wedding package. I think its a great idea, we are both much more comfortable in front of a camera now (important before the big day!) and know what to expect from our photographer.

Proti, those pics are fantastic! I just got our engagement pics back last weekend and yours blow mine out of the water lol... i want a retake!
