Hello, I have been informed that we need to take blood tests before getting married. Does anyone know what they are testing for? ARE THESE DRUG TESTS?? I have a blood disease (otherwise healthy) and I am nervous this will affect my ability to get married. Any info would be great Thank You Robyn

Hello, I am getting married this July in Panama. I was speaking with Julia and from what I gather I can simply fill out an indepth marriage application and she has it authenticated by a judge over there. She said I can do this INSTEAD of getting all the other paperwork done (B.C, marriage status, etc). Then we just need blood tests when we are there. Has anyone done this before? I just want to make sure this marriage application is ALL I need. I am so worried that I will mess up and we won't be able to have a legal wedding. I don't want to pay all this money and take so many people there for a symbolic wedding. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Robyn

Hello, I am also getting married at the Decameron in July 2011. Does anyone have any information on the legal paperwork that needs to be done? I am from Toronto and am having a hell of a time getting the WC to answer my questions. I was told that I can eitehr fill out a Marriage Application OR get a bunch of other info. Also does anyone know if the wedding application needs to be authenticated in Canada before we leave? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Robyn K
