I'm what some people would call a mutt lol I have 6 different ethnic backgrounds. I'm Peruvian, Bolivian, Spanish, Italian, English, and of course, North American (both Canada and the states). My dad and his family were born in Peru. My mom was born in Bolivia(but moved to Peru). My maternal grandparents were born in Spain and my maternal grandmother's parents: mother was from England, father was from Italy. Out of seven kids, my sister and I were born in the states (Cali), but the rest of my siblings were born in Peru. Â Plenty of ethnic background to share =]

I'm very happy to host this season, so no need to thank me =] Â Please let us know how the apple cider vinegar goes. I know it works for me and a few other gals on here, yet the more reviews from ladies who use it, the better for anyone curious/interested in trying it. Â Good luck! Â

Yes, I would and am doing that after the wedding. FI is English and we met here in the U.S. We plan on moving to England after we get married. Â I don't see it as I'm doing it 'for' him because we both want to do it, but I would anyway.

We recently discussed this and agreed that we would tell everyone there is absolutely no need to bring a gift. From experience, I know some people feel insulted if you don't accept a gift, so if anyone still wants to bring a present, we're telling everyone the option of donating to a charity. E and I are not expecting any gifts, even for the wedding really, because after all the money the guests are already spending to come to the wedding, I would feel awful if they felt obligated to spend more.

How are you giving the bags
DWBride615 replied to Stina4242's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
We're renting a floor or two at a hotel and providing the accomodation for the guests, so we'll be given the keys first. We will arrive half a day before the guests do, so we will make the additions and put the bags in the room before they arrive. We will give them their room keys when we pick them up from the airport. -

This is crazy! I've just recently heard this, but apparently it happened years ago: Â (quoted) "For anyone who feels they've been invited to too many weddings lately have a laugh. This is actually true. It was in a local newspaper in South Carolina and even Jay Leno mentioned it on the Tonight Show. Â This is a true story about a recent wedding that took place at Clemson University. It was a huge wedding with about 300 guests. Â After the wedding, at the reception, the groom got up on stage at the microphone to talk to the crowd. He said that he wanted to thank everyone for coming, many from long distances, to support them at their wedding. He especially wanted to thank the bride's and groom's families for coming and to thank his new father-in-law for providing such a fabulous reception. Â To thank everyone for coming, bringing gifts and everything, he said he wanted to give everyone a special gift just from him. So taped to the bottom of everyone's chair, including the wedding party, was a manila envelope. Â He said that this was his gift and told everyone to open their envelopes. Inside each envelope was an 8x10 photo of his best man having sex... with the bride. Â He had gotten suspicious of the two of them and hired a private detective to trail them weeks prior to the wedding. Â After he stood there and watched the people's reactions for a couple of minutes, he turned to the best man and said, "F*CK you!" He turned to his bride and said, "F*CK you!" Then he turned to the dumbfounded crowd and said, "I'm out of here!" Â He had the marriage annulled the first thing that Monday morning. While most of us would have broken off the engagement immediately after finding out about the affair, this guy goes through with it anyway, as if nothing was wrong. Â His revenge: Â 1) Making the bride's parents pay over $32,000 for 300 guests for a wedding and reception. Â 2) Letting everyone know exactly what did happen. And, best of all... Â 3) Trashing the bride's and best man's reputations in front of all of their friends and their entire families. Â Elegant wedding for 300 family and guests -- $32,000 Photographers for the wedding -- $3,000 Deluxe Honeymoon accommodations in Maui for 2 weeks -- $8,500 The look on everyone's faces after seeing a photo of the Bride and Best Man having sex -- Priceless!!!"

I'm stuck!! What should I say? Add'l guests
DWBride615 replied to JanineA's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
OMG when I first responded, I only read the first post and didn't see the update post. That's crazy and so incredibly rude! I can't believe she would say something like that. Who is she to tell you who you have to include in your wedding, whether you should have one, and how is should be. It's your wedding, not hers! That is ridiculous. What a friend that makes her...I'm so sorry that the whole thing went sour, but to be honest, I have to say, you're better off without her att he wedding if that's how her attitude is going to be. You were being a good person by apologizing but I don't think she even deserved an apology. She should have shut her mouth and apologized to you. Â Â Â -
