  1. Butterflyaniam - your pictures are amazing! I added them to my inspiration folder - thanks! I really love the look of candles, flowers and shells together on the table..It looks like it can be done inexpensively but looks so expensive..I'm trying to decide between real coral or faux coral
  2. So I emailed the video to FI {as a hint hint cause I 'm still waiting on my proper proposal although he's planned so much already!} Anywho his response was "He took her all the way there JUST to propose?!" I thought it was so cute how logical his manly brain works and not emotional like ours
  3. I hope they get something...where's Oprah when you need her? So what happened to the girls? Do they get another dress from the store? Do they get a refund? Did they have to just find something off the rack? I was thinking local bridal shops would take pity - hopefully they don't feel "You should've come here in the first place!"
  4. Thanks karyan...it's one of those things I don't {need} but I want...It's just a matter of convinving FI {or surprising him }
  5. MsGlave - Is it possible to have your hair straw set right before you leave? I don't know if you sleep all wild like me and can't keep a style for more than two days { } but I find with having my hair set I never really like the way it falls on the first day. It just always seems to lay better the second day {I have natural hair i''m growing out too}
  6. Ok first of all try searching centerpiece in this fourm....and google beach centerpiece - look at images {google is my best friend} Here are some pics to get you started... from my inspiration folder Hope this helps! Happy Planning!
  7. I'd love to see some pictures.... I was thinking rectangle table with coral, seashells, ect scattered down the middle with candles and small cups of flowers intermixed...I'll look for a picture
  8. Thanks AfricanVenus....When I posted I was thinking about the splurges like a designer dress, flying in awesome flowers and having gourmet cake and paying for everyone I want to be there's tickets....then I realized who I really want to be there {our grandmothers who have passed} can't and so I think I'd rather have amazing photography and video so that the day can last {forever} so that everyone who can't be there can enjoy it and hopefully one day my kids can enjoy it... but other than that I'm so with Jenandmark.... it does something to my FI's confidence that we have to wait and save up and I wish I had the money to make that all go away
  9. Can you tell me please where the shell candle holders and the bridesmaid flip flops came from??
  10. You know they are gorgeous pictures already but I just had to chime in too! I'm thinking I like the writing in the sand better than the sign with Thank You on it...I may do both and see how it turns out - great idea
  11. I'm not sure if there's another option....If you can afford it you can charter a boat but otherwise I would try and do priceline - if you're booking a lot of seats together you might be able to name your price at $120 - there is no being picky when you name your price though - you get what you get but I think it's the best option...I don't think you'll get as low a rate for 3 or 4 tickets but try to do them together...Good luck!
  12. When I saw this on the news my first thought was of fellow BDW brides....I'm so glad that they are able to get dresses for you girls it's really a blessing..I heard on the news they said they dress shop has 40 years of good relationships with the designers and that's why they were able to make it happen...I feel for everyone who lost a dress and the employees and owners of the company.... I'm so glad to hear you have a good attitude about it and not say this is the worst thing to happen ever - I hope there are no bridezillas yelling about this - accidents happen and thank God no one was killed and that it wasn't a daycare or something that burned down.. there are worse things that could happen and good things come to people like you who are positive and kind! I wish you the best with your wedding ! (Are you the only one on here who lost a dress?)
  13. Ok If you search die cut foot print or talking footprint a lot of things come up but I havn't found a good inexpensive source with a minimum thats less than 2000 yet...I'll keep searching but this was cute - They are pricey but if you don't have a lot of people they're neat.. about $8.50 each they pop out of a shape and include two matching keychains: http://www.customlogoflipflops.com/our_beachkits_heart.html I also found I also found these at $3.89 ea:http://www.papachina.com/Sport-&-Outdoor-Items-Flip-Flops-&-Slipper-Footprint-Flip-Flops/c386_776_782/p11612/Eva-Die-Cut-Footprint-Flip-Flop/product_info.html
  14. Karyan, Do you have any idea where they came from?
  15. I think they're super cute! I'm thinking of something similar
